Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Jin let Shigenaga’s hair gently, a small frown on her face, listening silently to Masamune.

Elsewhere, Megohime was enjoying the warm sun on the balcony of her bedroom with Ryuunosuke, her head resting in his lap as she dozed.

Megohime shook her head, breathing in his scent, hand clutching loosely at his clothes. “I will always forgive you, my husband.” Megohime said softly, eyes half-lidded. She was in complete serenity, enjoying everymoment she spent with her husband, yet something still lingered at the back of her mind, prompting her to try and remember what she had forgotten, but soon even that thought was forgotten once more.

Wasn't she with someone before? Someone brutish but similar. She couldn't remember, all she could think about was Ryuunosuke. "I'm so glad." He muttered, "I'll never leave you again."

Megohime smiled softly, closing her eyes. “Hai.” She agreed, slowly drifting off to sleep on her husbands lap.

Matsunaga watched quietly from the door before leaving down the hall. Ryuunosuke gently picked Megohime up and laid her in their bed, kissing her head gently before he shimmered out of view. Matsunaga steadied his breathing, sitting in his study to rest. Keeping the illusion was a strain, but if it meant he had Megohime, then it would be worth the headache.

Megohime rested for most of the day, most dragons weren’t often active anyway, choosing to sleep in warm or sunny areas. Megohime wasn’t too hard to keep entertained, for she slept until the sun went down, finally stirring from her sleep and sitting up in bed. “Ryuunosuke-sama?” She looked around, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Megohime got out of bed and walked down the darkening hallways, a soft frown on her face as she did. Where had all the servants gone? It was just like that night... No, it wasn’t happening, surely everyone was just getting ready for dinner? She continued down the hall, heart beating out of her chest. “Ryuunosuke-sama?”

Megohime’s heart was racing faster and faster, growing more panicked by each second that went by. “Ryuunosuke-sama!!” She broke out into a run down the hall, thinking the worst.

Megohime nearly fell to her knees right then, slowing to a complete stop and clutching her chest. “I-I’m sorry, I couldn’t find anyone, and I got worried..” The sound of a busy castle reached her ears, perhaps she had just gotten into her own head and hadn’t heard them at first?

He frowned and moved over, "I'm sorry to have worried you, my dear. Perhaps you haven't fully awoken yet? You did sleep a good portion of the day away."

Megohime looked down at the floor. “I’m sorry, ever since taking this form I require more sleep and heat.” She almost looked embarrassed about it.

The next couple days were a happy daze for Megohime, enjoying her time with Ryuunosuke as well as taking many naps. A few times, the estate did seem rather empty, as if everyone had left, but often times, if she spent enough time wandering, she would find everyone.

Matsunaga had to spend his time resting taking potions to revitalize his magic abilities so Megohime wouldn't have any more panic attacks. It wasn't good for him physically, especially since he knew Masamune was trying to find her. Kotaro kept him regularly updated on Masamune, and the Dokuganryuu was heavily invested in finding his blade. It appeared that he had no intention of giving up.

Megohime was easily manipulated by the visions of Ryuunosuke, not even requesting to leave the grounds to stretch her legs. Like she had said, she spent quite a bit of time resting or sunbathing, even opting to sit by a fire while inside with Ryuunosuke, even on warm days.

Masamune, on the flip side of things, was absolutely losing his mind. He even made the trek back to her cave to see if she was there. Nothing. She literally vanished. He couldn't understand what had happened to make Megohime leave.

Even Megohime’s favorite sunning spot was empty, she had simply left no trace. On his was back to the Date estate however, he overheard the conversation of two people speaking of a glorious castle that seemed to appear out of no where, but it was all word of mouth, they hadn’t actually seen it for themselves.

He grew increasingly annoyed with all these rumors before finally turning on some farmers he heard gossiping. "What the hell is this castle crap I keep hearing about."

The two farmers looked a bit startled to see it was Masamune himself. They both bowed to him before the older man spoke. “Two provinces over, an entire castle has supposedly appeared overnight, my lord.” He rubbed his chin. “Many who live nearby say it looks like its come from a different land or time, nothing from this century.. Very odd.”

“Well, not too long ago two men and a woman entered, but since then, no one has been seen entering or leaving the castle.” The old man said.
