Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

The old man nodded. “The village below the castle will be able to tell you more perhaps, but I have heard only rumors.” He said.

He nodded and hurried to the stables to grab his horse. He saddled up quickly and hurried off. If this woman was Megohime, then she had a shit ton of explaining to do.

Megohime couldn’t have been happier, resting in Ryuunosuke’s lap again, asleep in front of the fire in their room they shared.

Ryuunosuke ran his fingers slowly through her hair, eyes closed as he enjoyed being close to her. "Are you comfortable, my love?" He asked gently, "Do you want to move closer to the fire?"

Megohime stirred from her slumber when he spoke, shaking her head. “I’m alright, it’ll get too hot, you’ll get hurt.” She said softly, reaching up to cup his cheek.

“I have a right to worry.” Megohime said softly, kissing his knuckles. “I lost you for far too long.”

“Thank you, my husband.” She said, resting her head in his lap again, staring into the fire.

"What the hell? You're the Guardian of the Dragon's Claw?" That voice always came to her when she was lost in thought, it was the same voice each time; a man she couldn't remember the name or face of but there was incredible importance about him. Why couldn't she remember?

Megohime’s face held an expression of concern, why couldn’t she remember who’s voice it was? Had she met someone important during her time in the cave? Had it been another man she had simply defeated?

She shook her head, easily losing the thought of the faceless man. “No, I’m fine... Just, my heads a bit hazy is all.”

He frowned and pet her hair gently, "Get some rest.." He said.

Masamune pulled up to the village shadowed by the random castle and moved to ask around. Where did it come from, how long had it been there, was anyone seen living there?

The villagers all swore it had been an estate only weeks before, and just like the farmers had told Masamune, it seemed to have popped up over night. A few folks did have more information on who lived there. A collector of sorts, who went by Matsunaga Hisehide, and reciently a woman whom he had brought home, with beautiful black hair, and horns.

Masamune nearly blew a gasket when he heard that Matsunaga was behind this. He headed to the castle without another word, hopping off his horse and busting down the door, "Matsunaga!!" He shouted.
Ryuunosuke perked up when he heard Masamune's voice and looked to the door.

Megohime sat up from Ryuunosuke’s lap, frowning softly. It was the same voice, only this time, it wasn’t in her head. “Matsunaga..? I know that name... But from where?” She held her head, a faint headache at the base of her skull forming. She couldn’t remember, why couldn’t she remember?

"Stay here, Megohime." Ryuunosuke ordered before he stood and left the room. As he walked down the hall, he vanished, and Matsunaga made his way down to the foyer where Masamune stood angrily.
"I see you finally caught on."
"Where's Megohime?" Masamune growled. Matsunaga clasped his hands together gently.
"She's home."
"That's bullshit."

Megohime did as she was told, staying in the bedroom while Ryuunosuke investigated. She soon grew worried however when she heard the unknown mans angry voice from down the hall, but not Ryuunosuke’s. Leaving the room quietly, she made her way down the hall, ready to fight for Ryuunosuke need be.

"Stealing Jin wasn't enough so you hold my wife hostage?"
"As far as I'm aware, she is not your wife."
"That isn't the damn point! Give back Megohime!"

“Ryuunosuke-sama...?” Megohime was halfway down the stairs when she noticed her husband wasn’t in the room, but a vaguely familiar man, and a man who’s face seemed strangely blurry, regardless she could see everything else crystal clear.

Megohime stood on the staircase for a moment, then suddenly, she could see the mans face again. It was so clear now, how could she have forgotten? “Masamune..” She took a step forward, but instantly, the light left her eyes, and she sank to her knees, falling forward.

"Mego!" Masamune rushed forward to catch her but Kotaro beat him to her, holding her and throwing shurikun at Masamune, forcing him to launch himself to the side.
