Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Megohime was quiet the entire ride home, more than likely sleeping the entire time, she wasn’t really one to ignore Masamune, even when she was mad at him.

It was kinda dull without her awake to talk to him, but he dealt with it. She had her heart ripped out of her chest. He would probably shut down too. When he made it back to the estate, he headed up to his room and gently set Megohime on her display rack. He sighed, clearly exhausted, taking off his armor and hanging it up before laying in bed.

As soon as Masamune laid in his bed, Megohime was no longer on the shelf in the dresser, rather, she lay beside Masamune in bed, head resting on his chest. She curled up against him, her small hand squeezing his tightly. “Please don’t leave me..” She whispered quietly.

"Never in a million years..." He said softly, squeezing her hand before pulling her close, "I'm somsorry, Mego...I shouldn't have left you alone..."

Hot tears fell down her cheeks and onto Masamune’s shirt. “I don’t care about that.. Just promise me you won’t ever leave me..!” She fought hard to keep from crying.

The weeks following Megohime’s return, she spent most of her time sleeping away in Masamune’s bed, or in her favorite clearing in the form of a dragon, wrapped around the large stone she used to sun herself with.

Masamune was never really far behind her; he didn't want anything happening to her again. As he expected, she didn't really talk about what happened when she was away and he never pushed her to tell him. Just gave her space while keeping an eye on her.

Megohime was struggling, it was easy to see that. She spent all day by herself in the clearing, and when Masamune went to bed, she’d wake up from where she had been sleeping, only to move to sleep beside him. She started to spend more and more time in the form of a dragon, even going as far as to refuse her monthly meal.

Megohime was in her favorite clearing, wrapped around her favorite boulder like she had been for the passed three days. She lifted her head slightly, letting out a low chitter before laying her head back down, a low groan sounding her sorrow. She wasn’t getting any better, she was simply getting worse.

Megohime turned her head to face Masamune, her whiskers slowly feeling for his face, caressing his cheeks. She let out a couple sad chirps, but with the look in her eyes, it was clear it hurt her physically to move.

”Can’t eat... Too upset.” She let out a heavy breath, closing her eyes. ”I’ll get sick.” She rumbled lowly, settling in against the large boulder.

”You have work don’t you? I’ll be here, don’t worry..” She rumbled softly, peeling open one eye to look at him.

She let out a snort, resting her head in his lap. ”It’s gonna get dark soon.” Her scales were hot and smooth, not enough to burn, but enough to act almost like a living heater.

”You wouldn’t taste very good anyway.” She teased, lip curling up in a smile, but it looked rather close to a snarl.
