Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Her eyes narrowed, and she turned away from Kojurou to look down at the sleeping child, whom seemed oblivious to the danger he was in. Megohime lightly traced the babes head with her fingernail, frowning softly. “For one who serves, you surely seem to enjoy spitting on your master.” She hissed, But made no move to harm the child, she simply pet his head, turning her gaze back to Kojurou.

"There has not been a single moment where I have disrespected Masamune..." He stated, taking a step closer. She could almost hear his heart pounding against his ribcage.

One would have expected her to have moved her hand closer to Shigenaga when he took a step closer, but Megohime actually paused, then pulled her hand away from the boy. “Bringing up such hurtful memories isn’t exactly honoring him.”

"How is scolding you for being no better than an unfed infant disrespectful to Masamune?" He questioned, "I apologize for being so rude, but coddling you will not make the situation better."

Megohime’s eyes narrowed, still glowing a bright red. “I’ve had enough of what you’ve had to say.” She muttered, walking away from the crib and passed Kojurou toward the door.

"Continuing to run from your problems? How does that help?" He turned toward her and scowled, "Masamune has been worried sick about you and you continue to be a selfish child. It needs to stop, Megohime."

Megohime stopped at the door and turned to scowl over her shoulder. “Do not pretend like you know me. I’m returning to Masamune for the night, or would you rather I stay and care for your son tonight?”

Megohime only smirked softly, then left through the open door, leaving Kojurou with his sleeping child.

Megohime returned the bedroom she shared with Masamune, hoping he was already in bed asleep as she quietly opened the door, slipping inside and closing the door quietly behind her.

Megohime stopped where she was, almost like a child caught stealing a cookie. “I wanted to take a walk.” She muttered, but couldn’t keep his gaze, instead staring at the floor.

Megohime frowned heavily, chewing her lip before meeting Masamune’s eye. “Shigenaga’s room.” She muttered, feeling her ears burn hot, but why? Was she ashamed?

“It doesn’t matter, I didn’t do anything.” She looked away, but Masamune already knew the answer to his own question.

"You may hate to admit it, but Kojurou has a point.." He said, "It's time to move on, Mego..." His tone was gentle rather than demanding like Kojurou's had been.

Megohime’s expression softened and she gripped the sleeves of her robes. “It’s hard..” She looked so vulnerable again. “It’s hard... And I promise, I’m trying, I really am...” She looked up at him with a soft frown.

Megohime moved over to the bed, crawling under the covers with him and laying against his chest. “I’m sorry.” She muttered quietly, and she did look genuinely apologetic.

He kissed her head gently and rubbed her arm, "It's ok, Mego...I understand what you're going through...trust me." He said softly, his eye soft and full of heartache. He hadn't visited Hidemune in so long, he had nearly forgotten about his only heir; but the emptiness in his heart always reminded him.

Megohime felt heavy guilt when he said that, but nodded, he was right, she needed to move on, even if it hurt. “How much trouble am I in?” She finally asked.

Megohime let out a small snort, bust nestled against his chest further. “I... I’ll apologize in the morning... I went too far.”
