"You know, I've never seen any one man make Maki-chan cry like that, you must have a special way with women, Shizu-chan~" He held up a hand and put it to his lips. "I'm going to tell you a little secret~ Maki-chan loves you, Shizu-chan...~" He said, then turned and started to walk in the other direction back towards the hospital. "Ja ne~!"

Shizuo growled and stormed off angrily, puffing on a cigarette

Izaya went back upstairs to sit with Ayane, taking her hand as he sat in his chair.

Ayane laid in bed, scowling at the bandage around her noggin, "Damn, I forgot how Shizuo gets when he's mad..."

Izaya kissed her knuckles. "I know, you should be more careful, Ayane-sama."

Ayane scowled softly at him, "Yeah, yeah, hush, dog."

Izaya put his hand across his chest and bowed to Ayane, falling silent.

Ayane laid silently in bed, staring at the ceiling

After a few more days in the hospital, Makise was finally released and she headed home alone, frowning softly as she unlocked the door and closed it behind her, going to her room and laying down on the bed and letting out a weak sigh. "I fucked up again." She muttered sadly.

Ayane was back at Izaya's, laying on the couch with Shigure

Makise had been texting Ayane for the past hour, and she wasn't sounding all puppies and sunshine. "So how are you and Izaya.....?"

"He's behaving. Still an idiot, but behaving. Are you alright? You seem depressed."

"I'm fine, just worried about you. Shizuo threw you against that wall pretty hard..."

 

[DarkMudkip]

"Eh, I'm fine...I've dealt with worse..." Ayane answered

"Th-That doesn't make me feel any better..."

"Just stating the truth..." Ayane replied, frowning

"I know, but still, you're my friend." Makise typed.

"I'll be fine, Maki. Tell me what's wrong with you, I'm worried..."

"I was so horribly mean to Shizuo... I said things I shouldn't have ever said and I didn't even mean them... I was just mad..."

"A lot of people do that. Shizuo just takes it a little more personally."

"I know, but I still feel horrible for doing it.... Do you think he's calmed down by now?"

"Mm...hard to say...I haven't heard from him in a while...I think he feels bad for throwing me..."

Makise made a noise and slowly got up. "Okay, I'll go see if I can find him." She replied before heading off to find said bottle blonde.

"Be safe!" Ayane sighed softly and set her phone aside
