A Dark Moon [Vampire07 & Eyesoffire]

Joe moved to Lillian's side, he took one, small moment to take a look at the baby before picking up his mate and starting to walk her out. There was chaos everywhere as werewolves joined the fight to aid their females. Mailk took off to look for his girl as Dustin shielded Lillian and the baby since his mate was still safe in town. When they got outside they found the floor covered in blood, most of the vampires had been killed and they'd lost about 12 werewolves. Tyson was covered in bites but he's protected Dana, killing 8 vampires that were dead at his feet. "baby." He said in a deep voice as he pointed to Lillian. Joe smiled at him as the last of the fighting went on the in the cave. Malik came out with a blood-covered snout, holding his girl in his arms. "I didn't smell any more." He called to Joe.

Joe looked around and turned to Lillian. "We need to get back fast." He looked to the rest of his pack. "Pick up the wounded and dead, bring them back to the town to give them a proper burial." Soon enough the pack was moving again.

Malik's girl didn't sit back even if she was a human she jumped the men blinding them while the younger women killed them. While Joe got her out of there she held the tiny newborn to her breasts. Dana sniffed the air as she couldn't smell any more with the group following the others home.

"I'll help you get Lillian cleaned up...." She said looking at the tiny form against her chest. "Tyson, I call first babysitting night!" She called to the big guy as she was joking of course since Tyson or showed interest about it she was thinking he'd make a wonderful addition to her and Fiona's family. She'd have to ask Fiona this and mention it to Joe.

When they got him she tried to grab the baby to bathe it but Lillian snapped her enlarge fangs at her hands. Dana had to jump back seeing she was still out of it. Dana rushed up the stairs getting the bath going to a shallow level to get the two cleaned up. Dana left the bathroom letting the couple spend time together.

Joe lifted Lillian up and placed her in the bath. He ran his fingers through her hair as he gently poured warm water over the two. Baby werewolves were not like human werewolves, they were stronger when they came out and didn't need to be in a germ-free environment. Joe looked at Lillian, he was still covered in blood, but he needed to make sure that his little girl and his mate were safe. "Lillian." He said softly to her, cupping her cheek. "Baby, are you alright?"

Lillian was still bit out of it but feeling the tiny life form squirming against her brought her out of it. Still dressed and in the tub she looked up at him then down at the tiny girl. "Yes...Fine.." She said as the little one seemed calmer. Slowly she managed to get out of the ruined garment and the water was stained red. Seeing he was covered in blood also told her they were in serious danger and he wasn't going to allow anything to happen to them. Looking down as she helped him clean the baby up to see her eyes were bright but her hair was different. It was snow white and thick.

"She's beautiful..." Lillian laughed softly as she held the child to her and made room for him. "You need to get cleaned up as well." Looking up at him briefly then looked back at the child who was cooing.

Luckily the tub was large enough for 4 werewolves. Joe sat opposite Lillian and the baby. He watched them both with a smile on his face. The water cooled his muscles down, making him relax and feel clean once more. He looked at Lillian and winked. "I'm horrible with names, what should we call her?" He asked softly as he looked at their child, it was exactly what the two of them wanted.

She didn't want to let the child go like she was afraid she won't see her again. "I don't know..." She poured water over the baby's back trying to think up of a name that would fit the girl. "Green eyes with possible white hair...A kicker." she said laughing as she ran her fingers over the tiny back then she noticed a hook like birthmark on her lower back. Smiling as she thought of Athena but crossed that off the list. "I feel like I dropped the ball here. I've been concerned on having a healthy child that I forgotten about the names." Laughing softly but one name hit her.

"Remember in history there was a great female ruler named Cleopatra? How about we give her that name and our pet name for her could be Cleo..If she's more tomboy she could go by as Cleo as its bit more masculine tone to it." Smiling as she looked up at Joe wondering what he thought. The old historical name seemed to fit as she imagined their daughter will be leading the pack when they were gone or have her own pack.

"Cleopatra." Joe said softly. He mulled the name over in his head, thinking about it. He nodded at her. "I like it, sounds strong for a female's name and since I love history how can I refuse?" he moved over to his mate and child, sending his arm around Lillian's shoulders as he looked down at the little bundle of joy in her arms. "I really hope she doesn't poop as much as Daniel did." He said, laughing softly before turning to look at Lillian and giving her a love-filled kiss on the lips.

Laughing softly as she curled up to him returning his kiss. With their lips parting she gently placed Cleo in his free arm. Joe had missed the last chance to hold his son when he was "born" and she didn't want him to miss the chance with this little one. Cleo fussed on being moved but she looked up at the two giving them the look of who the hell are you?

Lillian couldn't help but to laugh at the expression she had. "I guess she takes bit after you." Teasing Joe as she watched Cleo pulling her limbs close to her body with her settling in against Joe's chest.

"Well maybe, but the hair and eyes are all yours." He said softly before hugging Lillian with his one arm and holding Cleo with the other. "Daniel and Cleo." He said softly. "I hope he's going to be a good big brother to her." He leaned down and kissed his daughter on her forehead.

Time passed and eventually all three of them were cleaned up. Joe and Lillian went to place Cleo in the crib and Tyson and the other male had made for her. It was right next to Daniel's larger crib. Daniel was up, blinking and looking at the small being in the other crib. Joe turned and picked him up, allowing him to look down at Celo. "You see that, big guy?" Joe said lovingly. "That's your little sister! Say hello to Cleo!"

With the trio cleaned up Lillian had Cleo dressed and laid her down in the crib. Looking over at Daniel seeing Joe bringing him over. Smiling as he pouted then looked at the two of them as if they betrayed him some how. Kissing his hand as he looked at Cleo when Joe mentioned Cleo was his sister. "That's right. You're going to have to show her the ropes." Smiling to see he seemed to come to terms with the strange being in his room.

Looking down Lillian saw at the one corner was all the stuffed animals. "Oh god....They did go over board." She said picking up the toys and moved them to a chest Tyson made but the other wolf added the finished features. She was happy Daniel got a bigger crib that was made for a full sized male but it could convert to a regular bed. Something hit her though. "Joe, what if Joe asks about his "real" parents? I mean the pack sees him as adopted but what do we tell him? The constructed truth or the full un-altered truth?" She wanted to be on the same page as him if that day ever comes. "I mean he may never ask or give a damn but I want us to be on the same page in case he gets curious."

Joe looked at Lillian and he placed Daniel in his own crib. "We tell him the real truth, the whole thing. I don't want the other members of the pack revealing things to him that we should tell him. If he ever asks us we should sit him down and explain it all. No secrets, it's his past, he has to know." Joe put a hand on Lillian. "But he won't care for it until he's older, he will be sure that you loved him, that we both loved him very, very much." Joe kissed Lillian, he allowed Daniel to see, he should know his parents loved one another. "Lillian, you're the best woman I have ever met and I know you're already an incredible mother to our son and daughter." He smiled at her. "we should never keep secrets from family members."

Lillian stood there closing her eyes to the soft gentle kiss. Daniel was standing at the side of his crib tilting his head at the event. Smiling Lillian nodded to Joe as he was right that telling Daniel the truth would be best and she hoped he'd be mature enough to see she loved him as her own. Hell, if things didn't keep getting in the way she may have given birth to him and Cleo. "I like to think if things didn't go crazy I may have given birth to him anyways. Either way he was going to be our son it seemed." Smiling to Joe as she walked over kissing Daniel's forehead then she tried to lay him down but he kept getting up to watch the second crib closely. "Ok, don't get mad at me if you're cranky in the morning." She touched his nose making him giggle.

Walking out of the room with Joe as she rubbed her stomach. "It feels so weird now. Having a pumpkin sized belly one day then not I've dropped all of that extra weight." Laughing as her breasts were still large as can be.

"I honestly cannot imagine what that must feel like." Joe said, patting his own six pack. He smiled at Lillian and snaked an arm around her waist as they entered their room. "I really, really hope this is the end of all the shit we've had to endure." He said to Lillian as he got under the sheets. "These...vampires...weren't they far West, in foggy forests, other countries or something? What the hell drove them here? And why did they want you?" He hugged her, "You're alright, right, Lillian?" He asked softly. "They didn't touch you, did they?"

With him escorting her to their room she looked over the banister to see the house was empty. Soon the two children will be running screaming "Give me back my bear!" or other nonsense. Seeing him laying under the sheets she crawled in beside him. "I don't know this is the first time I even seen one. Though one of the girls who was from other countries said the vampires were from the mountains but in an area where it was dark most of the year." Lillian settled in beside him thinking it out. "I mean why do you think a predator leaves their land? I'm thinking there was no or very little food left. I don't remember much just I was sitting at the town square reading because I didn't want to venture off from the village. The next thing I know I was being carried off. They didn't bite me or harm me but the pain encouraged me to put the girls in order for their first battle." Smiling as she kissed him. "They did very well."

"I know." Joe nodded. "They had killed off several of them by the time we got there." He said, smiling. Joe's smiled turned into a frown. "Though, I can't help but wonder if that's all of them. I mean, how many did we kill, 50? Maybe more? That's a lot, like a whole colony...He sighed and frowned. "Lillian, how are you feeling, tired? I mean the childbirth must have been crazy...I want you to rest for the next few days if you think it's needed. You said one of the females knew about them. I'd like to talk to her tomorrow."

"Her name is Raven. She looks Egyptian with the black hair and..dark leathery skin." She was tired. "I am tired as I didn't want to let Cleo go even when you got me home thinking they were going to take her." she said as she closed her eyes nuzzling against him. "They spoke of a large man with snow white hair, amber eyes...He's their master." She alerted him as her body was relaxing and sleep snuck up on her. Suddenly she was out cold next to him with the large shirt engulfing her while she wore sweat pants. Unattractive but for the time being it will have to do.

Joe smiled at her as she fell asleep. Though she was wearing lose clothing, the most physically attractive thing he found about Lillian was her face. You could say he wasn't an ass or boob guy, but a face guy. He kissed her one last time before closing his eyes and sleeping.

The next morning he woke to the sound of Cleo crying. He ran to their room and picked her up, cradling her and trying to get her to calm down. She hadn't soiled herself so he assumed that she was hungry. Joe made his way to their room and gently woke Lillian. "i think she wants to feed, Lilly." He said softly to her. Giving Cleo the baby. "I'm going to talk to Raven and find out all I can. I'll be back soon."

On his way out he saw Dana and walked to her. "Thank you for last night, honestly, we needed it." Joe kissed her cheek. "If you and Fiona want to see the baby then now is a good time, Lillian's just feeding her."

Joe found Raven by a nearby stream. "Raven." He called to her softly and moved to her side, sitting down next to her. "Lillian told me I could speak to you about the vampires." He explained and looked over her body. "Were you captured? They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Lillian was dead asleep when he woke her up. Last night she didn't get a chance to feed Cleo before she fell to sleep. With Joe's help on waking her up Lillian was wide awake feeding Little Cleo. The women were worried about Lillian as they sat outside waiting but when Joe came out the two rushed in when they got the okay. Fiona and Dana grabbed Daniel from his room and went to the master bedroom. The women awed to see the tiny girl.

"She's so tiny!" Dana said as she touched the tuffed of white hair with the peaches and cream complexion. "She's going to be a man eater."

Laughing as Lillian looked up. "Well, I don't want her running around like that." Fiona sat beside as Daniel and Rosie watching Cleo with interest.

Raven was working on cleaning her clothes the older fashion way. Standing up as she was slender or bean pole for some. "Yes, where I've traveled from they were common or dangerous enough. They don't like to travel outside their lands but there are those who turn humans or aren't careful and humans are turned...Well that will put the food resources in danger. They were looking into werewolf cattle since we offer an endless supply of blood without being turned. After suspecting what was happening I and my clan took off but during the winter a few years ago I got separated from my pack. I would have died if your grandfather didn't take me in." In her clan if a male or female came apart of the family then the grandparents became their own as well. To her it made the family grow and paid respects.

Joe frowned at her. "Well...It seems that vampires from your country can survive the winter here. You said they don't like to travel too far, I mean it seems odd that so many of them are here now, hunting us. We'll have to keep an eye out for whoever else is out there. There has to be some explanation as to why they started to leave you country. Maybe because something is hunting them?" He looked at Raven. "Are there many werewolves in your country? perhaps some of the packs drove them out?" Either way, Joe made a mental note to kick up security. He had to try and get things back together.

Raven looked at him coldly. "It seems only your mate will listen. I told you, when a vampire doesn't keep check of humans they feed on. The humans will turn and kill of the food supply. Meaning they will hunt ruthlessly!" She threw her clothes in her basket with her advancing on Joe. "The vampires are wanting werewolves because THEY CAN'T TURN US! YET OUR BLOOD SUPPLY IS CONSTANTLY IN SUPPLY!" Her voice echoed off the trees as she had a rough time not being listened to.

"My pack left because they were hunting us! I was welcomed to this pack by Lillian's grandfather. I left because I was being hunted in my homeland and yet they are here wanting your pack as cattle!"

"Calm down." Joe said, getting up, he was much, much taller than her and stronger too. He looked down at her with a piercing stare but didn't move a muscle. "Just explain it again if I don't get it the first time, don't lose your shit. I have a whole fucking pack to look out for, my own two children as well and I don't need you screaming in my ear. This pack was built on respect, strength and kindness, if you cannot follow those attributes then you can leave us as well." He watched her closely.

Joe looked around before an idea came to him. He started walking away from Raven, but looked back at her and pointed. "You watch your tone if you want to stay in this pack, I won't be taking that attitude from you ever again."

He quickly moved to his home and went into his bedroom to find Dana, Fiona and Lillian. "We have to get the other packs together." He said, looking at the three of them.

Raven was growling at him once more he didn't listen. Turning as she figured it was time for her to go. Returning home as she was Dustin's girl but she didn't say a word to him either as she grabbed her things leaving the pack.

Lillian looked up seeing Joe looked bit flushed. "Sure...I think my grandfather had a black book of other packs. Did Raven tell you anything that may help?" Cleo had finished feeding as while Joe been out she had been taken care of and playing when Joe came in. Fiona and Dana got up and went down stairs to get breakfast made for the two.

"She said the vampires are from her country, and that they're spreading out because they weren't able to keep their food supply in check. They turned too many humans and those humans killed off the rest. Seems like Egypt isn't doing so well right now." He sat beside Lillian and put a hand behind Cleo's head before he turned to pick up Daniel. "Raven's a bit mouthy, but it's nothing to be honest." He looked at Lillian. "I need the other clans, we have to create a massive joint defensive against them. If she is right then there are far too many for one pack to fight. We have to mobilize, get together and do this. It will take some time and I know not all the packs get along, but for survival's sake, we have to."

"Reason why she's so called mouthy. From what I heard from her that she's from royalty bloodline. So consider someone whose use to ruling and being spoiled being here...Taken in by charity." Smirking as she blew on Cleo's belly as he held Daniel who growled. Lillian thumped his knee which got him to stop. "She's a handful and I think she is getting on the pack's nerves. They put up with her because my grandpa did tolerate her. From what I heard he liked to help others."

Getting up she walked to the closet where she pulled a box down. Looking through it as there were several books. "I've been through this. He kept track of who lead what back then to now. How to contact them and how to break the ice with them. You know to get their barrier down to get the message across to them."

Joe walked to Lillian and took the book from her. He flipped through it. There was a title for every page and a description for every pack, exactly like Lillian said. Some of the pages were crossed out, Joe assumed those packs had been destroyed. "Thank you." He said and kissed Lillian. "I'm going to go figure this out." He called and left the bedroom to go to the living room, sit down and try to see which packs were closest and strongest.

An hour passed and he had mapped out three other packs that had needed to be called. He moved to the town centre where he called Dustin and two other fast runners. "i need you three to carry this message I have written to these locations" He showed them the map and where they would each be going. "Hand this letter to the alpha and come straight back here. Be swift and silent, and most of all, be careful." He nodded to them and they sprinted off into the wilderness, each carrying the letter.
