Parasite Eve Roleplay Game

Carnegie hall looks abandoned, dust covering everything. As the group enters the main opera stage, he points out the burned curtains and charred chairs. "This is where it all began. Melissa Pearce transformed into Eve during her big solo." A flash of memory, of the Eve he had seen, drifted through his mind. "She lit the curtains, then those on stage caught on fire. That's when people started panicking. It was worse when Eve started lighting audience members on fire. But Aya wasn't directly affected. So she came up the steps and confronted Eve." A flash of the Statue of Liberty fight covers his view.

Volke goes over to the curtains and tears off a large piece, placing it in her haversack. This was... eventually, this place would no longer stand. A momento of those lost to the Parasite Eve was something she couldn't leave without. Even if it is never revealed to the public, Volke felt history should never be forgotten.

Allen looked around, his body tingling from the leftover energy from his 'mother.'
"Forgive me for what may sound rude... but can we continue on with the mission? This place makes me... uncomfortable..." He replied, the hair on the back of his neck rising.

"There should be a set of... Here they are." Xavier says, point to a set of steps at the back of the stage. "These lead down to the dressing rooms, and the piano practice room. Aya met the first NMCs here, rats and a pet parrot, if I recall correctly." The image of a friendly police dog turned into brutal monster passes in Xavier's eyes. "Aya confronted Eve in the piano room, and after a tussle Eve created a hole with acid that she flew down. Aya jumped in after her, and it ended up being the sewers."

Volke moves up to Xavier and gets his attention. "Together. Who's pointman?" she asked, hoping it wasn't her. She'd much rather be behind Allison. Because of the machine gun, of course. Not for any other reason, since Volke couldn't come up with one. If she wanted to. She-
She cut off that line of thought. It would interfere with the mission. Really, mentally arguing with herself during a mission over who-knows-what... what was wrong with her?

"I'll take point, unless we need to find things. Then I guess Xavier should lead." Allison volunteered.

Xavier shakes his head. "Until we get to where Eve escaped Aya, you leading is fine." He hoped that the bad memories would stop coming back. The New York Blockade was bad enough the first time.

He nodded, looking at them. "I'll be wherever you need me to be." He replied, his chest feeling like it was going to burst.

Volke waves Allen over to her side. "Stick close," she says. In truth, she didn't like it when people stood next to her. She just wasn't used to having equals. However... she is bad with speaking, and she knows it. So, with this, she hopes she can make amends, and get across her loyalty if nothing else.

"On down the steps, Allison. There should be about half a dozen dressing rooms to your right, with a door at the end. That's the piano room."

He nodded and followed his orders, already ready to attack. (spot 20, search 17, listen 24, move silently 28, hide 19)

Downstairs is even dustier, and when they get to the dressing room doors they are all left open. "Aya came back after Eve escaped, and looked for clues as to what was going on. It turns out that Melissa Pearce had been taking a lot of immunosuppressants that one Hans Klamp proscribed. Not only did it keep her body from rejecting the kidney transplant, it also stopped her body from fighting the Neo-Mitochondria. Eventually the Neo-Mitochondria took over... And became Eve." In the end, Melissa Pearce had been a victim herself, one not only of high emotional strain from competing for the Christmas Eve performance, but Hans Klamp as well.

Allen made a low growling noise, and closed his eyes, trying to keep calm.
'No, no, no... Not here, not now... It could be dangerous...' He thought to himself. He knew he wasn't in complete control

Volke reaches out to pat Allen's shoulder. She almost retracts her hand... but manages to push through her own insecurity. Volke gently clasps Allen's shoulder in a wordless attempt to convey trust and combradrie. She even nodded and tried to smile! ... Although, the latter was a work in progress. (Would I roll to.. try to smile? >.<)

He looked at he, frightened at first, but quickly calming down. "Thanks... I appreciate it.."

Allison glanced back but saw that Volke seemed to be assisting Allen, she looked to Xavier. "You said it's at the end of the hall right?" She inched forward taking a look in each of the abandoned dressing rooms.

(spot 20 Yay, I finally got a decent spot.)

Volke nods again, her smile becoming more natural at his thanks. She turns away with an almost unnoticeable smile still on her face and fist pumps, happy with her success. This does not, however, distract her from following. (Hooray~ Spot 13 rolled Nat 1, Listen 31, Move Silently 26, Hide 16)

"Yes." Xavier followed Allison down the hall, troubled by his own thoughts. He'd seen Eve 4 times, the third time... They'd fought. It had been in the police station, after everyone had been trying to deal with the NMCs there, after Aya left to find Daniel Dollis's son, who'd chased after Sheeva, a police hound. It had not ended well for Xavier. It couldn't be called a 'fight', for he'd been brutally outpowered. The only reason he was still around was because he had been _Accelerating_ the whole time, while Eve had casually tossed fire and acid at him. In the end, Xavier had escaped with the last of his _Accelerate_, and had gone to help the others handle the NMCs. He always felt weak whenever the memory came back, because he hadn't done anything of notice to Eve, while Aya... Aya had finished the bitch off.

"Would you feel better if I took the lead?" He offered genuinely, now more relaxed despite his body's will to turn. "It's no problem at all."

Xavier shakes his head. "It's fine. I'll be okay." And he would. Eve was gone, and so was her child, thanks to Aya. The world was safer. And he wouldn't have to deal with that sort of powerlessness again. They finally reached the piano room. A dusty piano was still here, flecked with acid damage. So was the mirrored back wall, and the 10 ft diameter hole. "Now, if I recall right Aya said it was about a 15 ft drop into knee deep sewer water. There should be a walkway on either side, and we'll head north. Ready?"

"Affirmative," Volke sounds, dropping down first knowing she was the most used to such things. (30 tumble, if needed. I don't remember falling rules)

Allison drops down the hole next, bracing herself to soften the fall. She lands with a loud splash though and falls off balance.

(Tumble 4. Wheeee)

The rest of the group drops in one by one. The stench isn't that bad, more like really old water then sewer. The sewer water is flowing slowly, and it is easy to notice where acid and fire damage north are mixed with bullet holes. Those end at an iron gate about 100 ft away. "And this is where that first chase ended. Aya ruined the evening gown she was in, and was stopped by that gate, for she didn't have the password. Eve just turned her body into goo and reformed on the other side." She hadn't done that with him, but at the point Eve had been pregnant with the 'Ultimate Being', as Klamp and Maeda called it. Turning into raw goo probably wasn't healthy for a baby.
