Jack led Tessa up the stairs and into his room, it was rather large and had a bunch of different things that he had collected over the years in Miami. There was stuff on shelves and hanging on the walls all of it telling a different story about him and who he was. When Tessa handed him the blanket he smiled, "Well thank you very much I appreciate this" ,Jack said with a smile as he slung the blanket over his shoulder. "You get a good night's sleep now ya hear I'll have some breakfast ready in the morning". With that Jack turned and walked out of the room and made his way back down the stairs.

When RJ got to the room where Ronni would be sleeping he opened the door for her and showed her where everything was, when the woman asked him where he'd be sleeping he looked at her and smiled, he thought it was sweet that she cared. "Oh there's a guest room just across the hall from this room it has a bed in it that I can sleep on and if you're concerned about Jack he'll be ok on the couch he's a tough guy" ,RJ laughed at the last part trying to make Ronni laugh as well. "If you need anything I'll leave the door to the guest room open just come in alright" ,RJ told her right before walking across the hall. When he got into the room he took off his weapons and set them next to the bed where they would be easy to grab if he needed to he then kicked off his shoes and took of his shirt before lying down on the bed. RJ looked across the hall once more to see if Ronni was alright before closing his eyes.

After Jack put the blanket on the couch he too put his weapons in a place where he could easily grab them then took his shoes and shirt off before laying down on the couch and pulling the blanket onto himself. He then lit a cigarette and placed his hand behind his head and relaxed a bit. After he finished his cigarette he put it out then closed his eyes to fall asleep.

Tessa smiled at Jack. "You're welcome," she said softly. "And I will. Thanks again." When he walked down the stairs and was out of sight, she glanced about the room. It was a decent size and much better than she'd ever hoped to be staying in when she'd been thrown into Miami. Walking over to the bed, she sat down on its edge and kicked off her espadrilles. She then slipped off her cargo capris, but left her panties on. Maneuvering her shirt a bit, but without taking it off, she took off her bra and set it aside with her pants. She wished she had pajamas or something, but she didn't want to sleep fully clothed. It just wasn't comfortable for her. So she'd settle for her top and panties for now. She was by herself and knew no one would bother her. Plus, she'd have the blankets as well. Deciding it would be enough and that she was finally comfortable, she pulled down the sheets to the bed and snuggled underneath them and drifted off to sleep.

Ronni sat down on RJ's bed for several moments. She was glad that RJ was nearby. It definitely made her feel safer knowing he was close. Letting out a tiny exhale, she reached down and took off her boots. She debated on whether or not she should undress further. It would definitely be more comfortable, that was for sure. She wondered if Tessa did. Thinking on that for a moment, she figured her friend probably did. Biting down on her lower lip, she finally stood up and slipped them off, letting them fall into a pile on the floor. When she looked down at her legs she felt her eyes prick with tears. The bruises were still dark on her thighs. "Don't think about it, Ronni," she said to herself. "Don't think about it." Trying to think about other things, she thought about how RJ was nearby and smiled a bit. Wiping at her eyes, she got into the bed and laid down, allowing herself to fall asleep while knowing that it was also RJ's bed she was sleeping in.

When Jack woke up in the morning he looked around and remembered he was on the couch, after a few moments he sat up and put his boots back on then grabbed his guns and stood up to put them on as well. After he finished doing that he grabbed his shirt and put it on his shoulder and made his way into the cellar to grab some oats to make for breakfast, then a pot and some water to cook it in. He then made his way outside to start a fire, when the fire was good enough to cook on he set the pot up so it would cook the contents inside, he stirred it every now and then until it was done. Jack took the pot back in the house then went back outside to throw sand on the fire to put it out. After the fire was out he went back inside and opened a can of peaches and put it to the side of the pot.

RJ woke up after a while hearing Jack moving around down stairs, he himself got ready as well before leaving his room. When out of his room he knocked on both Ronni and Tessa's doors to wake them up then made his way down stairs and into the kitchen. "Jeez Jack put a shirt on no one wants to see that" ,RJ said sarcastically. "Oh well good morning to you too sweetheart" ,Jack said in response jokingly. "I made breakfast, eat up". RJ yawned then grabbed a bowl and scooped some of the oatmeal into it then some of the peaches and mixed it up really good before taking a bite. Jack sat down and waited for the two women to come down before he grabbed a plate, he had always been the type to serve himself last and that didn't change when he got put into Miami.

Tessa heard a knock on the door and slowly opened her eyes. She stretched and yawned before finally sitting up. Looking about herself, she remembered that she was in Miami and staying with Jack and RJ. Letting out a tiny sigh, she threw off the blankets and swung her legs over the side of the bed, letting them dangle for a moment before she got up and put her pants back on along with her bra. Once fully dressed, she made the bed and promptly went downstairs.

Ronni jumped a bit at the sound of the knock, her hand going to her mouth to stop herself from gasping too loudly. She quickly remembered where she was. She was in RJ's bed, in his and Jack's house. She was in Miami prison. Sitting up, she hugged her knees to her chest for several moments and shook as she cried a bit. She was happy for the good fortune of having met RJ and Jack and Tessa. If only she could shake the memories... Finally, gaining her composure, she got up and pulled on her jeans and boots. She then made the bed, taking care it looked just right. Once satisfied, she ran her fingers through her hair and made her way down the hall to where everyone seemed to be congregating.

"Good morning," Ronni said shyly, when she saw everyone.

"'Morning," Tessa said with a smile.

Both girls sat down and smiled, their faces showing their appreciation yet again for everything. They saw RJ already eating so Tessa smiled and took a bowl and served herself. Ronni waited and looked over at Jack. She could tell he'd made everything and she gave him a nod. She then took a bowl and filled it. "Here," she said handing it to him. "This looks great. Thanks." As she handed it to him, she reached for another bowl for herself.

"Morning" ,both Jack and RJ said at the same time. When Ronni handed Jack a bowl full of food before serving herself he smiled, "Well thank you for making me a plate that was very kind of you" ,Jack said in response to the woman thanking him for breakfast. RJ ate in silence he was usually quiet in the morning as he let his body wake up. Jack on the other hand was the complete opposite, the man was just outgoing at all points of the day. Jack ate rather quickly then looked at everyone before standing up, he put his shirt on and stretched a little.

"Well I'm gonna go get the car ready and bring it out so we can get going, RJ when you're done get the nets and cooler ready so we can get going, the fish are all over the place at this time so we should get a decent catch today" ,Jack said right before going outside. When he got outside he walked out into the back yard and pulled a palm covered tarp off of his car. It was an old ford mustang and it ran great even after the switch to the natural fuel that he got in Miami. Jack didn't use the car a lot only for important trips or ones that were too long to walk and Fisher Island was quite a distance from their house. Opening the driver's side door jack sat down in the seat and started the engine then shut the door and drove it around to the front carefully making sure he didn't run over the fire pit.

RJ nodded his head when Jack told him what to do and when he finished eating he opened the closet by the front door and pulled out two nets one smaller one and one big one. He then dragged the cooler out and brought everything outside, RJ watched as Jack drove the car around front and when he stopped RJ put everything into the trunk before making his way back inside. "Whenever you guys are ready Jack's outside in the car, oh and I'm warning you guys now he's an asshole driver" ,RJ stated in a joking tone. "He likes to drive fast I mean led food and a half". RJ smiled then made his way back outside and got into the front seat, Jack lit a cigarette and took a drag off of it, "Man I can't wait to get a real one of these" ,he stated as he blew the smoke out.

Tessa and Ronni both were fairly quiet as they ate, watching both Jack and RJ as they got things ready for the trip to Fisher Island. Both knew it would be good to learn the various areas sooner than later along with what to do to become self sufficient. It was impressive how streamlined they seemed to have everything, like a well oiled machined with only a few kinks here and there, only both girls found they rather liked those. It made the tension less considering where they were and the situations they were in. Once finished, and while Jack and RJ finished getting things ready for the trip, both girls worked together to tidy up after breakfast. Ronni remembered what RJ had shown her the night before after dinner and then showed Tessa. She washed the dishes, placing them in the rinse bucket while Tessa then dried everything. By the time they finished up, everything seemed to be in order and ready.

"Yeah, he said he likes things to go fast," Tessa said with a giggle, remembering the conversation she and Jack had the night before at Normandy Shores. Running her fingers through her blonde hair, she got into the car, ready for the trip and to see more of the place that was now her home.

Ronni bit down on her lip clutched her arms about her middle. "F-fast c-can be useful," she said. She didn't elaborate any further figuring everyone probably knew what she meant by that. She was still scared, but she'd try. Knowing she had people looking out for her now, especially RJ, she felt a little better than she had the night before. Taking a deep breath, she smiled and got into the car.

When the girl's got into the car RJ turned and looked at Jack, "Try and not be too fast this time let them get used to your driving" ,RJ stated. Jack then gave him a look and smiled, "Well I'll go easy this time but this is the only time I'm doing it" ,Jack said in response jokingly. He then put his foot on the gas and drove off, RJ grabbed onto the top of the window and looked at Jack with surprise. "I thought you were gonna go easy" ,he shouted. "What you complaining about RJ this is easy, WOOOOO"! Jack said in response. The man got the biggest adrenaline rush from driving fast and sometimes he just couldn't help it. RJ punched Jack in the shoulder with his free hand, "You're such an asshole I really believed you were gonna be easy this time" ,RJ stated. Jack then smiled at him, "You should know better" ,Jack said taking a drag from his cigarette.

Tessa smiled as soon as Jack pressed down on the gas. Somehow she knew he wouldn't go easy on the driving. Giggling softly at first, she finally leaned forward and let out a shout as she embraced the 'freedom' she was finally experiencing. And oddly enough... in Miami prison.

Ronni clutched onto the door handle as the car sped down the road. She wasn't used to driving so fast and it made her a bit nervous. Looking out the window, she focused on the scenery as they drove. And as they continued on, she smiled a bit listening to how happy Tessa and Jack seemed to be.

When Jack pulled back up to the path that led to the house he stopped and made sure no one was around, he even got out of the car to make sure that their wasn't anyone hiding in the tall grass or anywhere else. After he got back in the car he drove up the path until they reached the house. Jack parked the car then got out as did RJ, "If you want to wait here Tessa me an RJ will be quick bringing the fish inside and down to the cellar, you can get in the front if you'd like to" ,Jack told the young woman with a smile. He and RJ made their way around the car and opened the trunk then grabbed the nets out and carried them inside. After they finally got them into the basement Jack and RJ made their way back up the stairs and outside.

"Come on Ronni I'll show you where we put the fish after we catch them" ,RJ stated. Jack got back into the front seat of the car and waited for everyone to be ready so that he could go meet up with Ace to make the trade.

Once everything was scouted and then eventually situated, Tessa moved to sit in the front seat next to Jack and Ronni followed RJ to see where they stored the fish after they brought back their catch.

"I'm ready," Tessa said with a big smile. "Let's go!"

"Sounds good," Ronni said, staying close to RJ as she followed him inside.

When Tessa got into the front seat Jack smiled then drove down the path he then glanced at Tessa quickly, "So you don't mind me going fast now do ya"? He asked right before flooring the gas pedal, "Might as well make good timing" ,he said letting out a laugh that said he was enjoying himself thoroughly.

After Jack left RJ led Ronni into the basement again only this time they went in a bit further then they did last time they were down there. When they got to the tanks RJ looked at Ronni, "Well these are the tanks me and Jack kinda built them, well we found them and repaired them so that they would hold water and fish" ,he told her. "We just throw these suckers in them then close the tops". RJ then began to throw the fish into the tanks making sure not to overfill them.

Tessa laughed when Jack pressed his foot on the gas. The car took off and she immediately felt the effects of the speed on her body as they sped off to where they'd meet up with Ace. "No," she giggled, her one hand reaching for his shoulder for reassurance as they sped along. "I don't mind."

Ronni followed RJ down into the cellar of the house to where the tanks were kept. "You built them?" she asked, though her question was rhetorical. "You two have everything figured out," she said with a bright smile as she watched him throw the fish into the tanks. She then ran her fingers through her hair. "What would Tessa and I have done if Jack hadn't found us?" she then asked out loud, her lips still turned upward into a smile.

RJ smiled when Ronni stated that he and Jack had everything all figured out, "Well we have a lot figured out but not all of it we just do what we can to survive and try to stay happy at the same time" ,he told her. His eyes found hers again and he smiled when she asked what they would've done if Jack hadn't found them, "I don't know but I'm glad he did, I'm glad you two are here that you're safe and that I had the pleasure to meet you Ronni" ,RJ said in response with sincerity.

When RJ threw the last of the fish into the tanks he placed the lids on top of them and sealed them shut, "Well would you like to go to the springs or wait until Jack and Tessa get back"? RJ asked Ronni. He leaned up against the wall as he waited for her response.

Ronni smiled and blushed as RJ spoke. She didn't miss the underlying compliment and it warmed her a bit. Given how upside down her life seemed to be, it was nice for something to seem right for once. "We can go to the springs," she said. "With the way you both have talked about it, it seems like a nice place." She paused for a moment. "I could use going to a nice place right about now," she said. "That is, if it's all right with you." She blushed a bit more and ran her fingers through her hair.

RJ smiled at Ronni's response, "Alright let's go then, I think you'll find it relaxing" ,he told her. He then looked through a few things and found and unopened bar of soap, "We don't have shampoo, they don't supply that in the crates but we do have a few bars of soap that work just fine" ,he explained. RJ motioned for Ronni to follow him before he made his way up the stairs and out the door. He made sure she was close by him so that she wouldn't get lost while they walked to the springs.

Ronni smiled and followed RJ up the stairs and out of the house to the springs. She understood that luxuries such as shampoo and other things would be difficult to come by, if at all. But she'd hardly complain about that. She was grateful for everything she was being provided. Ready to wash, she followed RJ to the springs, eager to wash and see the place both spoke of so highly.

"Oh honey you're gonna absolutely love this place" ,Jack told Tessa with a smile. He motioned for both of the women to follow him as he began to walk toward the trail that would lead them to the springs.

When they got back to the house Ace laid her wet clothes out on the porch to dry as did Jack, "I'm gonna go start the fire, Ace why don't you grab some food from the cellar" ,Jack stated. Ace nodded in agreement as Jack grabbed some wood and put it into the pit, "You wanna come with"? Ace asked Tessa. "Basements creep me out" ,she said with a small laugh.

Tessa placed her wet clothes out to dry along side Ace's. Running her fingers through her wet hair, she nodded to Ace when she asked her if she'd like to go with her to help get some food. "Yeah, sure. I don't mind," she said with a smile. "I haven't been down there yet. It'll be good to scope it out and see what's down there."

"Alright cool let's go" ,Ace said happily right before leading the way down to the cellar. When she got down there she walked over to one of the fish tanks and grabbed a bucket that was next to it. She reached her hand into the tank and grabbed a large fish out of it, "Mm tuna we get that a lot around here this one's a pretty decent size and should feed us all" ,Ace stated. "Let's pick out some stuff to go with it seeing as you're new I'll let you pick the vegetable while I grab some rice".

Jack had finally got the fire lit and sat down while he waited for the two women to return from the cellar, he lit another cigarette then took a drag from it.

Tessa followed Ace down into the cellar. She took a peek at the tanks of fish and looked at them with appreciation. From the look of it, they appeared to have been built up a bit and she wondered if Jack and RJ had modified them. Knowing the two, they probably had. Smiling, she then gave Ace a nod. "Tuna sounds good and all right, let's see what they've got." She went over to the shelves that had the cans of vegetables stored on them and browsed. Finally she settled on the peas. "How about something green. Some peas," she said picking up the can.

"Sounds good to me" ,Ace said in response to Tessa giving her a friendly smile. Ace then made her way back up the stairs and outside to where Jack was. "Get to gutting and fileting bitch" ,she stated playfully. "Alright alright" ,Jack said in response right before getting up. He gave Ace a playful shove before grabbing the bucket with the fish inside it. He took it over to the table and began to gut it and cut it into pieces so that he could cook it.

Tessa smiled and followed Ace back up the stairs and outside to where Jack was. She laughed a bit at how she and Jack joked around. "Is there anything you need me to do while your dealing with the fish, Jack?" she then asked wanting to help out and be useful in getting lunch ready for everyone.

"Oh no hunny I can handle this you guys just relax for now" ,Jack said in response to Tessa. He smiled at her loving how she always offered to help. When he finished gutting and cutting the fish he brought it over to the fire and began to cook it. After a little bit he put the other food onto the fire and sat back relaxing while it cooked. Ace took a seat by the fire as everything cooked, she had grabbed everyone some water and handed Jack and Tessa their cups before taking a sip from her own. "So what do we got planned for the rest of the day? What do you guys wanna do"? Ace asked looking at the two.
