Lund sighs softly as the baby cries out. He glances towards the crib then back down to Kiana. "I apologize for that darling. She must have sensed we were up and weren't paying attention to her." He clears his throat softly as he pushes himself up on the headboard. "If you want to bring her to me I can watch over her while you rest some more.

She yawned a little as she climbed out of the bed, "No. No.... you need your rest more then I do." She told him as she pushed herself to her feet and moved to the baby who instantly smiled again as she say Kiana hoovering over her crib. "Oh and now you smile..." she says as she bends and picks her up into her arms, gently rocking her as she started to pace around the room with her.

Lund nods slightly as he let's his head slump against the headboard watching her pace with Sarah. "I still think as should take a trip Kiana. Just the two of us to get away from things for awhile. We could consider it our honeymoon since we never took a proper one after we were married." He smiles as he tilts his head watching her.

Kiana sighs a little as she finally takes a seat with Sarah in the sitting area, "I don't know if time will permit that love. There is so much work to be done here that was left undone during the time you were missing. New responsibilities to take on and I still have a lot to learn to be your wife as well."

Lund shakes his head as he scoots around on the bed trying to get comfortable. "Father is still well in charge of things. Don't you think after what we've been through we deserve a break." He scoots to the edge of the bed moving to place his feet on the floor. "I want some time for us to just be us if that makes any sense." He runs his fingers through his hair growling softly in frustration.

Sighing again Kiana nodded, "Very well thought I don't know where we will go to nor when that can really become a reality. You still need much time to heal and Sarah is so little. I don't want to be to far from her for to long. She might need me." The mother in her was clearly strong.

Letting out a hearty laugh he flexes his feet slightly. "I'm stronger then you think love. I'll be running around the castle in no time." He gently pats the bed beside his leg smiling still. "Why don't you two come sit on the bed with me. If you don't my nurse is going to be upset because ill cross the floor to sit with you on the couch."

She knew he was not joking so with a slight smile and a shake of her head, Kiana rose up on a sigh and crossed the room to sit upon the bed where he had directed her to just moments before, "Are you pleased now? Will you stay put where you are?"

With a smile he leans in planting a soft kiss on her cheek. "I just wanted you close darling. With you all the way over there I was thinking you didn't want to be near." He takes her Hand planting a soft kiss on it as he leans back to get comfortable. "Will you be needing to check my stitches today love?" It seems he is trying his best to ignore the events of what transpired as he holds her hand trying to see her smile.

She felt bad. She was trying to push herself away from him still. It was nothing against him. It was more a self punishment then anything else. "I would like to look at them, yes, but it can wait awhile still. You can get in your time with the baby and have something to eat for a lunchtime meal. It will bring your strength back sooner. Then I will look up it and see if it needs and sort of attention."

He nods noticing as she tries to pull herself away. A frown spreads across his face as he studies her for a moment. "Kiana is something else bothering you? I thought I made my wishes clear last night about these last few days. What's done is done. We have our lives and family that's all that matters isn't it?"

Kiana sighed a little as she moved to stand up, stepping up beside him to pass the baby off to him, "You were clear. I understand love. Trust me I do." Kiana just seemed to be spouting off lie after lie recently. She didn't understand and worry just kept on hounding at her. And she should have felt a little guilty about how she was attempting now to distract him with the baby, getting his attention directed on making sure he could support her, "Watch her neck. Why don't you whistle a bit while I see to getting you something to eat?"

His mouth opens to start to say something, but is instantly shut as he cradles the baby protectively. Lund smiles as he gently rocks Sarah cradling her head as Kiana instructed him to do. "She is tiny darling. I'll keel her safe I promise darling." Lips purse together as he begins whistling softly to the baby still cradling her close.

"She is tiny now but she will grow in no time. You best enjoy her this small while you can," Kiana moved to the door where upon opening it, she asked the nearest servant to have lunch brought up for herself as well as Lund. Coming back into the room, she smiled at him from across the way, "You're lucky. I'm going to allow you bread today along with your broth. Tomorrow maybe I'll let you chew on meat once again."

Smiling softly as he glances up at her. "Some bread with my lunch. Well I do feel lucky that your my nurse." He let's out another whistle as he glances back at the baby in his arms. "I'll be honest darling that broth isn't exactly satisfying." Laughing softly he leans back rocking Sarah gently as they wait for there food to arrive.

She sees how holding the baby pleases him and so she goes on letting it. "I know, I know, but it must be. Their are herbs in that broth that will bring up the strength you need to very, very much to get your out of that bed sooner rather then later." She came back over and sat upon the chair beside his side of the bed, "Now isn't that what you want?"

Lund nods softly as he watches her sitting on the chair. "What I truly want is my wife by my side once more. Not hiding herself away just in he's out of my reach." He sighs softly as he begins whistling for his daughter once more. "Perhaps even a chance to dance with my wife. A chance to hold her close."

She felt her heart constricting in her chest and a question was on the tip of her tongue. Something that needed to be said. Something that needed to be known. Now before it could happen. She could not move forward like he wanted to without it, "What if I'm pregnant?" And there it was. It was a possibility that had to be faced.

Blinking a few times he glances up at Kiana for a moment. Lund remains silent alittle longer as he studies her face. "darling it could easily be mine. Remember we did break Nessas rule a few times before that night." A playful smile dances across his face as he winks at her. "How much trouble would we be in if we broke her rule now?"

His attempt to lighten her mood did not work as she kept on looking deathly serious, "That's not funny Lund. I'm serious. How could I look at my own child an never know. At since it's either you or Jak... I'll not be able to tell by looking upon them. And it could be a boy, which could be your heir, which could mean that child could be your heir but it could not be your son...." her face feel more and more. "Why does this happen? We are good people aren't we? Why do things like this have to happen to us?"

Reaching his hand out toward her he smiles once more shaking his head. "There's more of a chance that the child will be mine. I was with you far more then he ever was." a soft sigh escapes his lips as he continues to watch her. "You must put these things behind you love. Our family can get past all of this."

Raising her eyes up to see the smile on his face... it should have made her feel better. It didn't. "I don't deserve you..." she said with a slight shake of her own head. At least though her hand did not pull away from how he held it. At least not until there was a knock at the door and she rose up to answer, accepting the lunch tray from the servant. Bringing the tray to his bedside where she prepared it for him.

Lund shakes his head softly as he watches her. "I believe that is the other way around love. I don't deserve you or this wonderful child." He smiles continuing to rock Sarah softly smiling as he whistles for her. Glances up quickly hearing the knock at the door. He relaxes after seein the maid there swallowing softly.

Kiana comes to his side and reaches out for Sarah, moving her from his arms... it seemed to the baby's dismay as she grunted a little in protest. "Oh you be good now. I'm trading you for daddy's lunch tray which he needs very much. You'll get to go back to him later missy." After putting Sarah down in the crib, she comes back to the tray, moving it to place it in his lap.

He laughs softly as he gets himself comfortable before she sets the tray down. "I can't believe how much she's grown on me. She barely knew me now she gets angry if you take her away." He laughs softly as he breaks off a piece of the bread dipping it into the broth. He sighs softly beginning to eat shaking his head at the taste of the broth.
