Lund coughs as he lays under the blankets as he clenches to the sheets. He rolls to his side as he grabs Lily's wrist weakly as he tries to keep his grip on her coughing harshly. "Lily don't let her think I hate her. It was my fault and I shouldn't have thrown her to the nobles without being ready." he keeps his grip thinking he is holding on much tighter then he really his. "I love her Lily I really do."

"She doesn't think that Lund..." Lily felt like she was lying since she did not know exactly how Kiana felt at the moment, but she figured that it was likely how poor Kiana felt. And now poor Lund was feeling the guilt as well. "She loves you more then she loves life itself. She'll be here to tend you in the morning and she'll tell you so herself. I'm sure she'll bring Sarah with her and everything. Then you three can go on being a happy family. There is nothing left to stop you from being happy now."

Lund coughs softly as he slowly slips into a light sleep tossing and turning through most of the night. His fever seems to get worse as the night slips on toward morning. He begins to mumble under his breath whispering to phantoms that appear to him in his fevered dreams. At one point he yells out jaks name before falling silent once more his head rolling to the side. It isn't long before the phantoms return almost seeming to torture him.

By morning, they could see he was not getting better. Only worse. Angus put his foot down on not disturbing Kiana's sleep and woke her as gently yet still firmly as he could. Even though she was still drowsy from the sleeping potion that Nessa had given her, all she needed to know that Lund was feverish to get her up and out of the room. Rushing to his bed side and taking his hand from Lily's to grasp onto him tightly. "Why did you not wake me sooner!" she asked crossly with no one in particular at the target of her frustration. After that though she started giving orders on drawing him a bath to soak him in and herbs to be made into a broth for him. The whole while holding his hand.

Once everyone was off to their tasks for her, Kiana leaned her head in to nuzzle her cheek against his and whisper into his ear, "I know you are upset with me Lund but I love you. I don't want you to leave this world. I want you to stay with me. Please keep on staying with me."

Lund remains motionless as Kiana begins giving orders his body still burning up with the fever. His hand doesn't tighten at the feel of hers. His head turns towards here hearing her voice as he begins calling her name. He seems aware of her presence, but is unsure if she is real or a fever induced phantom. "Don't let her hate me please." He is silenced as he begins coughing harshly once more sinking away.

"I don't hate you!" She whispered to him as she stroked his face, trying to ease him and comfort him, a few tears rolling down her cheeks and almost instantly evaporating at the hit his skin. "Lund I could never ever hate you! I love you so much. I'll never love anyone as much as I love you. It's not within my heart to ever hate you."

He shifts slightly letting out a soft cry as the tears hit is skin for a brief moment. He begins coughing harshly making his whole body shake. Once the coughing has subsided he begins to whisper her name his grip on her hand flexing like hes trying to hold tighter to her, but is unable to. The whispers begin to die down as he grip loosens slightly his strength slipping away alittle more.

"Don't do this!" she said suddenly and rather sternly into his ear. Pleading with him did not seem to be working so perhaps it was time to try a different approach. "You listen to me Lund. I love you and I am NOT going to allow you to leave me. I am going to keep on fighting to keep you with me but you have to fight too. Do you understand me? Now... hold me hand..." she waited and hoped her words would reach him somehow.

Lund barely moves as her voice raises. He let's out another cough before he settles back down. He shivers trembling as he whispers her name once more. A few moments pass before his hand clenches hers still weak, but showing some signs of life. His head Lolls to the side as he clings to her hand her presence seeming to ward off the phantoms in his fevered dreams.

She can't help but smile as she squeezes his hand back, "Good, you're still listening. Now keep listening. I love you and I'm not going to leave you. I'm going to make you better." And then he could go back to deciding what he was going to do with her. It was going to end up killing her if she were to now do through saving him all over again only to be thrown out in the end after all. A few tears slipped down her face for that thought but she pushed them away. It was time to get to the task at hand.

Angus helped her to carry him to the bath where they soaked him in cold water for awhile before returning him to the bed, covering him in layers of blankets. It might seem odd, but it was a way to force the fever to peek and hopefully break. Then again... it could kill him as well. The whole while, her hand never left his.

Lunds grip at times seems to lose his grip on her hand, but as soon a the dreams returns he is clenching to her hand. While being carried to the tub he is limp in Angus arms coughing softly as he is lowered into the tub. Once back in the bed he rolls to his side coughing again as he begins whispering her name followed by love. He does this for over an hour before stopping.

The whole while Kiana held his hand, making sure he never felt her grip leave his through the whole ordeal. Once he was back in back, Kiana sent for Sarah to be brought to them. She needed to feed the babe and hoped that her closeness would only help Lund pull out of the dark place he was in. I took some arranging for Kiana to still be holding Lund's hand while holding the baby as well, but it worked out.

While Sarah fed, her little hand reached down to rest upon Lund's as well. Her little finger wrapping around on of his big fingers, "You feel that Lund," Kiana spoke to him. "Sarah's here and she's holding on just like me now."

His breathing remains shallow as he lays there still holding Kianas hand. Coughing still trembles through his body from time to time. He seems to sense Sarahs presence as she comes into the room his brow furrowing slightly. His hand flexes feeling his small daughters hand touching his. He calls out Sarahs name jerking upwards his eyes open wide but it can be seen he is in the grip of a fever dream.

Knowing that he could be dangerous like this, Kiana's first though was to get the baby out of his reach. Passing Sarah quickly off to the maid, Kiana softly spoke to Lund as she tried to push him back to the bed, "Shhh, she's here. She's safe Lund. You can rest easy. Sarah is fine."

He breathes heavily as she pushes him back on to the bed. He grabs her arms holding on to her tightly. He stares into her face as if not recognizing her for a moment. "Kiana you have to keep her safe don't let anyone harm her please." his voice his broken as if he had been crying. Once back on the bed his eyes close as he drifts away again his hand squeezing looking for the comfort of hers.

His illness was killing her. It brought tears to her eyes and stressed her out time and time again as she gripped his hand, tears slipping from her eyes. "Nothing will happen to Sarah. I promise. I'll always protect her with my life. You don't need to worry about her Lund." And that was the truth. Kiana would gladly trade her life for the life of her child or her husband. "She's safe."

He settles back on the couch as he grips her hand tightly whispering both of their names softly. He coughing harshly. His head turns towards her trembling as he clenches her hand tightly his strength still faded. His lips part whispering her name as he clings to her in his fevered state. He begins tossing slightly as he shifts under the covers.

Kiana felt more and more distressed with each passing moment. She didn't know what else she could do for him. She was doing all she could for the moment and it just didn't seem like enough. No matter how had she tried to hold onto him he still seemed to have his strength faded from her. She held his hand tighter still and thinking of nothing else she could do she leaned down to kiss his lips softly, whispering against them, "Keep holding one Lund. Please don't let go please."

Lund gasp softly as he fills her lips against his. He whispers her name softly as he begins to lay still coughing softly. A few moments after he begins to lay still the first beads of sweat form on his forehead. His body reacts pushing down the covers one by one as he whispers Kianas name followed by Sarahs name. "I don't hate you please don't go."

Kiana looks down at his body as he starts to push the covers away. Feeling his head, she could not believe it. Had the fever just broken? She held his hand and leaned down to kiss his lips once more, "I'm not going anywhere. I will stay right here at your side. I will not going anywhere. I promise."

A slow smile spreads across his lips as he begins sleeping. His grip tightens on her hand as he continues to sleep sweating abit heavier now as his fever has broken now. He coughs softly as he squeezes her hand slowly. A few moments later his eyes open as he looks around the room. "Kiana... I love you. I'm sorry for sending you away."

He did not need to look far of course as she was still sitting in the bed at his side, still holding his hand. Still amazed that somehow a kiss had been what he needed to break his fever, she smiled down at him and used her free hand to brush some hair from his forehead, "Don't be sorry love. I'm just happy your fever has passed. How are you feeling?"

Lund smiles as he moves to hug her tightly his arms still weak. "I feel like I was ridden over in a Calvary charge love. I don't exactly understand what happened though." He places a soft kiss on her lips as he leans back against th headboard. "What brought around the fever. I mean I was feeling fine then boom."

"Fevers just happen sometimes Lund..." she tries to explain to him. "Putting to much stress upon your still healing body..." or of course stress upon his mind over what she had done but she did not mention that one for fear of ruining what was seeming like a nice moment between them. "You can't stop it sometime from happening. All you can do it force it out. You will need to rest heavily now. You're likely as weak as a babe."

He nods softly as he touches her cheek smiling softly. "I certainly feel as week as a newborn." He coughs softly. "And where is our daughter at darling? I know she went with you." He lifts her hand kissing it and nuzzling. "Does my healer think it's safe for me to eat. I'm starving right now and could eat a horse if she let me."
