He smiles kisses the palm of her hand softly before letting it go and wrapping his fingers with hers. "Alright love. I have no wish to be in this bed any longer then you deem necessary." He moves to lay his head in her lap closing his eyes softly. "Do you remember the lake we bathed in when we first meet. The one with the waterfall? I was thinking of seeing if the local builders could replicate it for us?"

She found herself blushing with the memory of that time. It seemed so long ago yet really it was only about a year now. "Have our lives changed so much in just a little over a year? From that day to now? To this very moment? And where on earth could to build something like that. In the bathroom?" She was joking of course as her hand started to gently brush through his hair.

He keeps his head in her lap smiling at the gentle feel of her fingers stroking through his hair. "Either in the small private courtyard that's just for the family or in the bathroom so we can use it all to ourselves. As for the time it does seem to travel so quickly, but things were simpler then." He smiles opening his eyes to glance up at her. "Your still that same beautiful woman I saved from the auction block."

She seems to frown a little bit, "Lund... have you ever told your family the truth of our meeting?" It was something she never spoke of to them and it never came up but she had to wonder if they knew through him. "Or do they just thinking me the sister of a fellow soldier's wife?"

He closes his eyes frowning slightly as he listens to her question. "It's never been brought up before. And I've never asked them what they thought. I have always assumed they thought you were the sister of a soldier I served with." He takes her hand kissing the palm again. "All I know for sure is that they know you aren't a noble lady."

She seems to laugh a little, "Oh indeed. I know they know that. I'm impossible to pass off as one even. They tried too once or twice while you were away but I could not even eat my food at the dinner table with my correct fork."

He let's out a soft laugh of his own as he listens to her. "The forks can be the hardest part. I used to use the wrong one just to make the parents angry and upset at the official dinners. Of course i didn't used to be the important son." He sighs softly as he closes his eyes softly shaking his head.

She reaches her hand up to brush her fingers over his cheek, "You've always been important. Now you are just more important." Her smile is warm, meant to calm his nerves a bit. "You're important to me and certainly important to Sarah."

He smiles opening his eyes at her words. "If I were only allowed to keep two things in this world it would be you and Sarah my love." He takes her hand kissing the palm before moving to kiss each one of her fingertips. "if I had only you two then I would be the happiest man that ever lived. A loving wife and a beautiful daughter."

"It's a good thing that you have us then as well as much, much more." She leaned down to kiss him on the forehead, "Mmmm are you in pain any love? Should I get you something to relax an stiffness or pain?"

He laughs softly as he opens an eye to look at her placing the kiss. "It's a dull ache more then outright pain love. The stitches itch more then anything right now." He reaches a hand up to caress her cheek as he looks into her eyes. "Nothing I cant ignore for now." He pulls her head down giving her a soft kiss.

She sighed a little against his lips, "You sure you don't want something? Just a little something to help take that away. It will help you to sleep when you get there eventually tonight. Perhaps a little herbal tea. Will you share some with me?"

He smiles enjoying the feel of her lips against his. "Alright a little herbal tea wouldn't be so bad." He closes his eyes again shivering softly as he runs his finger along her jaw tenderly. "But not to much I want to be able to wake if you need me to help with the baby." He lifts his head brushing his lips across hers once more.

She smiles and lifts his head to allow her to get up and move towards the fireplace were she could brew the tea right there in the room. "You will not. You can help when you are well enough. Until then you rest. I take care of the baby."

He laughs warmly as he lays back on the bed watching her move to the fireplace to prepare the tea for them. "Alright I'll drink as much as you deem necessary love." He closed his eyes for a moment as he touches his shoulder wincing slightly. "I want these stitches gone soon. They do nothing, but annoy me and get in the way."

"Nothing?" She said with a slight chuckle. "Oh dear I am sure they do something. They hold the holes in your body together so they can heal, close, and not grow bigger to slowly kill you. Yes I do believe that the stitches are good for something." Filling a teapot with water, she placed it over the fire before turning to grind up some of her herbs for the water once it became warm enough.

Lund shakes his head softly. "They so annoy me darling. I think perhaps you designed these stitches to be that way." He smirks as he rolls to his side slightly his eyes watching her as she starts preparing the tea. "How strong will this stuff be exactly?" his head comes up off the bed still watching her with a smile.

"It's not strong at all. It's an herbal tea. It's far more soothing and smooth then strong. It will go down your through like a sweet, warm liquid of gentle flavor," the whole while she spoke to him about how the tea was going to be, her own voice became smooth and mellow. It all was a tender way of relaxing him.

Lund nods softly as he closes his eyes stretching slowly. He rubs his eyes slowly as he turns his head to look at her slowly. "That definitely sounds like a good change of pace." He laughs softly as he curls up on the bed slowly his eyes closing once more. "So what made you think of this tea to help me sleep love?" He reaches over to take a soft sip of some water as he checks to see if there is more meat on her plate for him to pick at.

She sets out two cups as she takes the water off the fire, continuing with the process of brewing the tea for the both of them, "It's something I have used to calm and relax myself for years. I figured it would be a good thing to give to you know when that is exactly what you need."

He smiles softly as he starts to sit up seeing her ready the two glasses. "You always seem to know just what I need darling." He laughs softly as he runs his fingers through his hair slowly. "Did you wish to check my stitches before I laid back down fully?" His hands move to lift his shirt slowly trying no to strain his stitches as he moves.

"Yes but stop your fidgeting until I get back over to you," she scolded from across the room as she stirred the liquid within one cup and then the other before at last setting the spoon down, picking up a cup in each hand. "Don't go moving to much or you might bust up something while I am do far across the room to tend it quickly." She sets both cups down on the night stand, noting how her tray was missing a few more scraps of meat. "Hmmm...." she said a little as she moved to get her healing basket, bringing it to the bedside. "Alright, now let's get a look at that."

He nods softly as he stops trying to remove the shirt at her words. His hands are placed flat on the bed glancing at the cup of tea she sits on the nightstand. ""It's to bad we don't have any wine. I certainly enjoyed the last bottle we shared together." He smiles softly as he leans towards her watching her reaction to his words. Once she has reached the bed he moves to take his shirt off with her help.

She sighed of course as she pushed his hands away and took full control of removing his shirt. "The tea is better for you. You behave and you'll be eating meat and drinking wine in good time. You certainly are stubborn aren't you now? Thinking you are invincible all the time." Looking over his wounds, they appear to have healed enough while he was in his deep sleep that his thrashing had not disturbed them much. "Everything looks fine here. Careful now. Slowly onto your back darling," she tells him as she helps him roll onto his back once more.

Lund frowns slightly as she doesn't recall the last time they used the wine to entertain themselves. He smiles at her hoping his wounds look good. "I take it everything looks good then darling." smiling softly he lays back on the bed his hand taking hers as he places a soft kiss on it. "I still can't believe how steady you make your hands."
