Change The World

Sango stopped when she found a spide demon carcass laying on the forest floor. Looking around, Inuyasha was no where to be seen. Sighing she turned and almost tripped over a fallen tree. But by the looks of the trunk, it didn't fall. It was cut down. 'Hm.' She thought and ran her soft but strong fingers against the wood. It must of been a demon with claws. More than likely Inuyasha.

Kagome nodded back and left the room. Walking a bit fast down the hallway and down the stairs, she made it into the wash room. She was glad her mother left the washer open when it was empty. Throwing his dirty clothes into the large white square looking machine, she turned the water on and added her favorite detergent. When she was satisfied with the amount of liquid soap and the forming bubbles, she closed the lid. "That was a close one..." Her soft voice was heard. She looked slumped over the modern machine, with her hands on either side of the washer and her shoulders somewhat bunched together.

Miroku decided that if the others had seen Inuyasha head into the forest, it would be easier on both of them if they were looking in the same area. As he approached her, looking over a massive, fallen tree, the area splattered by blood from a recently deceased Spider Demon. "I think it's safe to assume he's nearby." Miroku said as he approached her.

Inuyasha stood there in the room, his clawed hand combing through his white hair for a moment, at the ground. He didn't know if he wanted to risk trying that on Kagome again. It probably would hurt a lot more, she may go for one more sit this time around. However much to his surprise, he found himself walking out of the room, his legs seemingly having a mind of their own as he followed after Kagome. Well, looks like this was it. Hopefully the concussion he got from this woudl at least snap him out of this.

Sango looked up at Miroku and nodded. "We'll look around. But," frowning she blinked her brown eyes. "Miroku," she began. Her voice curious yet had a great deal of worry. "Do you think he could of followed Kagome?" It seemed that Inuyasha got angry, hence the large fallen tree in the middle of the forest. She continued deeper into the woods nonetheless.

Kagome pushed off the washer and ran a hand through her silky ebony strands. Breathing out a sigh, she closed her eyes slowly and opened them in the same pace. She was rather distraught about the dream she had. She hated the fact that Inuyasha wanted to be a full demon. Why did he have to be anything than what he was? Tears formed in her eyes and she wiped them away. Stupid Inuyasha... Turning around, the girl headed to the door, not bothering to look up from her feet.

He didn't want to think about that posibiltiity but he supposed there was no way around it. With a sigh, he shook his head. "I'd rather not think about that. If he did go after Kagome, then we have no way of going to her rescue. We just need to hope that he wouldn't hurt her in this stupor." he said. "Inuyasha would never hurt Kagome willingly." he told himself to calm himself.

There was something he picked up from Kagome, rather than her heat scent. It was...salty and bitter. Like...tears? He watched her as she remained over the washer, his eyes focused on her for a moment, wondering why she would be crying. He reached out a hand to touch her shoulder when she turned around, and collided with his chest. To keep her from falling over, because he just KNEW she would, he quickly grabbed her shoulders. "Kagome?"

Sango nodded. If he did go after her, there was nothing they could do about it until they came back. Sighing, she shook Kirara lightly in her arms. The neko demon mewed before opening her red eyes. "Kirara, can you help us find Inuyasha?" The cat purred and jumped out of her arms and down to the ground, giving a little sniff while she walked around.

Kagome clutched onto Inuyasha to keep herself from falling over and from him stumbling back. She wasn't a strong thing, but sue cared for his well being and didn't want him tumbling over. Looking up at him with slightly red eyes, she stood there. "I'm sorry, Inuyasha. I didn't mean to run into you like that. I wasn't paying attention."

"INuyasha!" Miroku shouted out into the woods, hearing only his echo. "If you're there, answer us! Come out!" he said, looking around slowly. A frown. No answer. "I fear we may have to fear the worst, Sango."

"Why are you crying?" Was the first thing out of his mouth, narrowing his eyes at her. Now SHE was acting weird. First she has that nightmare and now she's crying? "What happened?" He squeezed her shoulders a little bit harder.

Sango frowned and watched Kirara dash off. "She has some kind of scent picked up." She ran after Kirara but stopped when her demon companion stopped at the well. "Oh no.." She breathed. It was then that she hoped above all hope that Kagome will be okay.

Brown eyes furrowed into gold molten orbs and within and instant she slowly moved her arms around the hanyou she came to know so much, holding him in a sweet embrace. "Inuyasha..." her whisper was faint yet notable. "Do you still wish to be a full demon?"

"That is not good." he said. He hated it at times that neither of them could enter the well. It was times like this he felt the most hopeless. So, sighing a quick prayer to his friend, he turned. "I'm afraid we cannot do any more." he said, solemnly to the demon slayer. "All we can do is pray he doesn't do anything to her."

She wrapped her arms around him slowly, almost sweetly. Then she asked him the question he himself had been asking himself for a while. Since the fight with Kaguya. His arms wrapped around her shoulders in return, holding her close. The voices quieted themselves down, and he shook his head. "I don't know." he answered honestly. And he didn't. He didn't know if he could be a full demon, knowing he'd turn these claws of his on the people he cared about. Before then, he was sure. And now? Doubts filled his mind on what he wanted.

Sango took another glimpse at the well. Stupid thing never let them pass. Frowning out of frustration and of worry, she waited for Kirara to return to her before she headed after Miroku. It sucked, yes. But Kagome was a smart girl. She knew right from wrong. But it was Inuyasha she was most worried about. Being a demon, their instincts didn't care what was right or wrong. Just what they wanted...

Kagome closed her eyes. It was a lot better than the 'Yes, you stupid girl!' she normally recieved. With her arms still wrapped around him, she moved her head and opened her dark eyes to look at him. "Okay then." She smiled while the washer started to spin.

Miroku was prepared to comofrt Sango for a moment, reaching a hand out to her shoulder to tell her that Kagome would be just fine, she's strong and even then, Inuyasha wasn't strong enough to even break out of a sit curse, when there was a hard sting in his neck. Slapping it, he pulled his hand away to hear a familiar, groaning squeak. "Myoga?" he asked, holding the flea demon out for him and Sango to see. "Ah, yes, hello Master Miroku, Mistress Sango." the Flea said, jumping up and down in his palm.

His ears twitched at the horrible grinding the damn machine kicked in, causing him to scowl. he didn't even know why he needed to wash his clothes. Hell, the present day clothes he had on were still itchy. It all bugged him sometimes. But he pushed it from his mind and nodded, pulling her a little closer. "yeah." he said quietly.

Sango looked down at the flea as Kirara jumped into her arms. "Myoga?" She raised an eyebrow. "Where have you been? Hiding I presume..." She taunted with a friendly shake of her head. It was common for the little demon to run and hide in fear when something dangerous happened.

Kagome swallowed. He never held onto her this long. Atleast not when she was the one who hugged her first. A light pink blush tainted her cheeks prettily. "Yeah..." She whispered back, but her arms were still wrapped around him. "I'm okay now, Inuyasha." She said, her voice soft as it always was when she wasn't angry or in the middle of battle. After a long pause, she clutched onto him. "What do you think's going to happen when the battle with Naraku is over?"

"I have been looking for you for a few hours, now!" he exclaimed as he hopped up and down. "I understand you're rightfully worried about Inuyasha and Kagome." "Myoga, if you know anything about what could be going on...." The flea sighed. "Truth be told, Master Miroku, I do have an inkling."

"I'm not sure." he said, shaking his head. "I mean, if we kill Naraku before we find all of the jewel shards, we'll still need to do that..." he said. Heh, gave him an excuse to kill Koga at the least. "But after...I don't know." he looked down at her. "I guess we'll have to go our seperate ways...lord knows Miroku is going to continue being a lecher and trying to find a family...Sango will probably rebuild her village and you'll probably stay here..."

Sango grabbed the flea between her index finger and thumb. "You better start talking, flea." She squeezed her fingers together. She wanted to know what was going on between friends. And if this affected all of them in many ways, than she and Miroku had a right to know. The early spring wind picked up, blowing her face and she loosened her fingers.

Kagome clutched at his back, her fingers slightly gripping the fabric of his shirt. She knew it was the truth. But she had no desire to hear it. Because she was honestly torn between the two eras that she called home. Taking in a slow breath, she closed her eyes and loosened her hold on him and her arms around him. "Yeah..." Her voice was almost sad. But this was probably the best thing. There was even a possibility that the Sacred Jewel could send her back home and seal the well, even if she had a choice..

"Mistress Sango, please release me!" he squealed, his voice getting higher and higher the more she pinched down on him. When she loosened her grasp, he fell over, panting. "I wasn't sure, so I decided to watch from afar." he grunted. "Since I know Inuyasha was in no mood to see me, I'm sure. He seemed to be reacting very strangely to Lady Kagome, so I took a small hint of her blood to comfirm it, and I'm afraid it's true." he crossed his arms and nodded. "In Demon terms, she's in heat."

Inuyasha nodded a little bit. he was sad as well, at the very idea of her ending up leaving him. Maybe there was something the jewel could do for the both of them. He didn't know, it was all a fleeting dream at this point. However, that wasn't for a while, aat least she was still here now. "Hm>" he said. "Don't get all sad on me now. You know how I feel when you get all sad and crying."

Sango looked at Miroku with slightly wide eyes. "Oh no..." she muttered. Being a demon slayer, she knew what that meant. And in most terms... For a human who wasn't looking to mate with a demon, this wasn't good. Not good at all. Continuing to hold Myoga in her hand, she looked down at him. "How long has she been this way, Myoga?"

Kagome smiled and pushed herself away from him a little bit. "Yeah." She looked up at him whole the washer started to rinse. "You get mad and your ears start to flatten when I cry." With one hand, she reached up and started to gently scratch behind his right ear. "Are you hungry?"

"Well that's difficult to say." he said, looking down at her palm, deep in thought. "I suppose I could say I sensed it a few days ago, but that was barely noticeable really. As it went on it got more and more prominent. So if I had to assume, sometime yesterday is when she, in a sense, "been that way."" He nodded. "I'm honestly surprised Inuyasha hadn't tried anything." "And if he's in Kagome's time right now...oh no." Miroku whispered.

The ears twitched, and one eye closed. It felt good when she did that. Kinda invaded his space and he didn't want her to KNOW it felt good, but...eh. "Not really." he grumbled a little bit. "Argh, that thing is giving me a head ache." he said as, as if on cue, his ears flattened to his head.

Sango modded at Miroku's theory. "That's what I'm thinking, Miroku." She rubbed her forehead as a headache started to form. "I guess right now we have to pray to Kami that nothing terrible happens while they're in her time..." Looking at the well from a far, as if they were to pop out any moment, she blinked and headed toward the village.

Kagome watched his ears flatten and she removed herself completely from his embrace. "Okay, let's get out of here." Straightening her shirt, she continued passed him to the door and waited for him to follow. "Why did you come back anyway? Did you change your mind about me coming home?"

"Hm, what, I can't come to see you anymore?" he asked, slipping his hands into these strange...pockets he was sure they were called, stepping forward after her. The little touching moment was gone, and the voices had come back full circle, with louder demands of claiming and taking the girl before him. Not to mention the scent was worse, now that she had hugged him, almost over taking him. "Besides, I wanted to come and make sure you weren't going to get yourself killed. There still are a good number of demons that seem to pop up around here..." he said. take. claim. mark..

He didn't wanna get slammed into the ground again. It hurt. The voices hurt more. He was tempted to try it again. Stop being such a wuss and just TAKE her. But he didn't want to HURT her...

Kagome turned around and glared at him. "What do you mean killed?! I'm more than capable enough to handle myself." What did he think she was? A child? Seemed like it since he was always saying he had to keep her from getting herself killed. Which was stupid to do in this time. The demons, if there were any, in this time seemed to all be in hiding or camaflouged into the crowd. None of them seemed interested in hurting anyone anymore.

Crossing her arms, she turned around and stomped through the living room. If he wasn't hungry, then she wasn't going to be nice and make him something. Fine! Letting out a growl from her throat, she relized that she got that habit from the said hanyou. This frustrated her even more. Now she was picking up his habits. "Thank you very much!"

He finally let out a little laugh as she growled at him, it sounded like something he would do. "You're very welcome." he grninned as he followed after her as she stomped through the living room. "You should be thanking me, you'll scare a lot more people by growling at them then screaming their ears off." he said with another laugh. Oh god, what was he DOING? He was going to get sit again. He didn't want that!

"erm...' he said, rubbing the back of his head. "...Sorry?"

Kagome stopped and turned her head to growl at him again. "I don't try to scare people, Inuyasha. I don't intentionally do it." Hearing his apology, needless to say it stunned her. Her facial features softened and she looked at him. Seriously, what was going on with him? That was something he never said unless he did something terribly bad. This actually scared her a bit. She was standing on the bottom stair. "What did you just say?"

"...What DID I just say?" Did he just really say he was sorry? That was...something he did NOT do. Hell, he wasn't SORRY, he wasn't apologetic. Kami, this "heat" thing really was messing with his mind. "I....Don't know what I just said...argh, just forget it and keep going." he said.

Taking Souta's shoe that was laying on it's side beside her feet, she aimed it and chucked it at him. "Ugh! You make me so angry sometimes, Inuyasha." With a loud 'grr' she stomped up the stairs and slammed her bed room door shut behind her. Stupid dog demon and his arrogant ways.

With a frustrated sigh, she fell onto her bed. One leg was folded at the knee and stuck into the air while the other one was dangling off the edge of the bed. Rubbing her face, she looked at her ceiling. 'What is wrong with him?' She thought while her arms moved to sprawl out above her head and over her dark hair that fanned out around her head. But then again... What was wrong with her. A small part of her felt restless. That was weird. Normally she was mellow. Swinging her dangling leg a bit, she blinked her eyes. "I wish I knew.." She whispered to the moving shadows on her ceiling that were casted by the tree outside her window.

"Hey! Don't you..." he growled a little bit, his right eye twitching a little bit and finally he released a little louder growl. "Fine! Be that way! I don't need to talk to you then!" With that, he leap down the stairs to the living room and growled, taking a seat on the cold ground in the middle of the living room, leaning on his knee and tapping his claws on the ground. God, she was so damn frustrating sometimes. It didn't help that under most circumstances, he would just pick her up and take her back to the other era. She'd be mad, he'd make it worse but in the end it was all right.

but he couldn't risk taking her back right now. Not with her scent reaching near critical levels. Hell, if he, a half demon, could sense it and barely control it, lord knows what other demons would be around her, trying to take her from him. He growled a little bit and dragged his claw against the floor, digging into it out of anger.

"Stupid wench."

She rubbed her forehead. This was so frustrating. Not just Inuyasha but when she actually laid here and thought about her own emotions and her feelings from within, she knew there was a restlessness. But why she was feeling that way was the real question. Running her fingers through her hair, she started to massage her own head to rid the headache that the half demon, who was currently somewhere downstairs, had given her. Her toes tapped against the soft pink blanket on her bed and she continued to move her fingers.

Enjoying the self massage she was giving herself, she closed her eyes and reveled in the somewhat relaxed feeling that she was currently inducing. Licking her lips, she let a soft moan escape her lips and she felt the beginnings of a terrible headache start to slowly whither away.
