Change The World

"I sure hope so." he said with a nod of his head. His head began to ache again, so he stood up with a sigh and walked over to the door. "I'm going to go for a walk, maybe kill a few things to clear my mind. Thanks for listening old lady." and he rushed off.

"I'm surprised he hasn't gone after Koga more than he has." he said, "A jewel shard is a jewel shard, after all. Regardless of how powerful Koga is." he bit into his dumpling idly. "And the very idea of Naraku and Kikyo gathering together...well, I almost fear of how Inuyasha would react."

Sango nodded. "Do you think maybe Lord Sesshomaru will help us in the final battle with Naraku?" She knew that the two half brothers hated one another but Naraku affected them all individually on a personal matter. And this also included Sesshomaru. And maybe that simenfact alone would let the two get along for once and fight side by side. Then again to them both, that was asking for a bit too much. "Kikyo seems to be torn by multiple things. And Inuyasha still seems to have a lot of feelings for her. No matter how many terrible things she does."

Kagome sighed and plopped onto her bed. "Ah. Home sweet home." She was so tired. And right now, nothing could tear her away from her bed. After sleeping on the ground for a few weeks straight, this was Heaven in her mind. Now that she had access to. Shower, bath, tv and good food, she was going tomtake advantage of it. Stupid Inuyasha... Curling up on the pink bed spread, she muzzled her face into her pillow and began to drift to sleep.

"I don't think inuyasha would permit his brother to aid us in the final battle, no matter how in need of him we would be. inuyasha's too proud and thick headed to take his aid." he said with a small laugh, before he nodded, "And yes, that's one of the many curses of love. It makes you blind to the truth, regardless of what truly happens. It's romantic in the right hands, and tragic in the wrong one."

It turned out killing demons didn't exactly help Inuyasha's plight. Their blood didn't cover her smell as much as he hoped, nor was he able to beat his anger and frusteration out on them as he had hoped it would. She may as well have been there right beside him, all the good it did. He growled a little bit as he looked down at the cleaved in two spider like demon he had encountered, his claws caked in blood and STILL all he could see and smell and almost HEAR was HER. Her long, black hair, those brown eyes, that soft skin...his eye twitched a little bit. He had been fighting for long enough. With a cry of anger, he cut a massive tree in two with his claws alone and before it even began to fall, he made a dash to the well.

Sango nodded slightly and continued to eat while she thought. He was right on both statements. If Inuyasha didn't start seeing eye to eye with his brother, they'd be doomed in the final battle. And honestly, she had no idea when that was. But she knew that when the day did come, she'd have to be ready for anything. "Do you think Kikyo loves Inuyasha?"

Kagome was still sleeping, her eyes moved behind thick lashes and eyelids. She wasn currently in the middle of a troubling dream. She felt restless, like she had a weird itch that needed scratched, or a craving. She didn't know how or why, but she needed to find out what. So she kept running in the darkness. It was then she seen a flash of something red and white. 'Inuyasha?' She ran toward the figure that seemed to be running from her.

"That's rather difficult for me to say, as I did not know the original Kikyo myself. I do not know of this Kikyo is similar to the one Inuyasha knew in his time." he looked up at the sky, watching the sun high above the three of them. "However, if I had to assume? I don't think Kikyo understands the emotion of love, being the equivalent of a clay pot. She may, for all we know. But then there's Kagome thrown into the mix."

As he finally entered the modern world, a whole new plethora of smells hit him. Of course the most prominent was Kagome, as was expected, but the strange things the family and this Era had to offer. The strange metal contraptions called "cars" or whatever they were known for, the buildings, the stone...he shook his head and leapt out, looking up at the house. His attention to the upper half of the house, where Kagome resided. He leapt up onto the tree and opened her window slowly.

Sango looked down at her half eaten dumpling. By this time Shippo ran off a little ways to play with Kirara. Poor Kagome. It was obvious that the girl loved him very much. But because of mixed feelings of Kikyo bein here and Kagome being her reincarnation, it was hard. And Kagome always struggled to let people know she was Kagome and not Kikyo. "Poor Kagome..She's so kind. For sticking with us this long."

Kagome ran until the figure stopped and she moved closer. When she looked it wasn't Inuyasha in her dream. But Kikyo. The later priestess turned around and faced her. Kagome stopped. "Ki-Kikyo? What are you doing here?" The stoic woman looked down at her hands and Kagome's gaze followed. Inside the palm of her hand was a lifeless Sacred Jewel. When the high school girl looked up, there stood a full demon Inuyasha. His eyes glowed red and a smirk on his face. Kagome jerked awake and sat up, her breathing was very heavy and she clutched onto her chest because her heart felt like it would explode. She was too focused on her panic to hear the window opening.

"She is indeed a good friend." he said with a nod of his head, looking down at the ground. "She doesn't deserve some of the abuse she receives from Inuyasha. He's just so thick headed.' He chuckled a little bit and sighed. "Do you think they'll ever come around?" It felt nice to just...talk to Sango about issues like this. He felt he could be open with the demon hunter.

He watched her have her little freak out in her dream, a concerned frown spreading across his face. He was prepared to wake her up, had she not woken up when he got too close. He watched her again as she sat up, grabbing her chest out of worry. It looked like it had been a bad one.

"Kagome." he said, trying to get her attention.

Sango took another bite and listened. It was rather nice to talk to Miroku without his hand traveling to areas they shouldn't be touching. "I don't know. They can both be pretty stubborn. But then again, would it be a good thing for the group of they did end up working things out?" She couldn't say that Kagome was a burden to them, she definitely wasn't. Her powers and medical kits were extraordinary. But she wasn't trained properly and sometimes she was a direct demon target. And that always distracted Inuyasha. "When all this is over, Inuyasha might still want to be a full demon...and then Kagome will have to go back home."

Kagome jumped slightly upon hearing her name. Looking up, she sighed in relief that it was Inuyasha. She knew it was his voice. There was no mistaking that. But she thought he didn't want to be around her for a few days. And with that thought settled, she didn't expect him to be here. "You scared me." Her breathing calmed down a little and she looked up into his golden eyes and... Blood stained kimono. "You're covered in blood."She scrambled off her bed, worry now covering her features. "Is everything okay? Did something happen?"

"That will be a very dark time." he said with a nod. "but with any luck, they'll even each other out. Perhaps INuyasha will no longer want to be a full blooded demon, and perhaps...well, it would be incredibly selfish for us to keep her here, when she has her own life back in the other time. So...it will be sad when she inevitably does leave..."

"Hm?" he looked down. Oh, right, the blood that he was splattered in. "Oh, this." he said. "Don't...worry, it was just a random demon that I needed to kill." he looked down and grumbled. "Don't worry, I didn't get hurt." he jumped into her room. And once he did, the voices came back.

Take. Claim. Take. Claim. Take. Claim.

And this time, he didn't know if he could hold them off any longer. Hell, him being here was a mistake alone.

Sango frowned. She had thought about it once or twice. And he was right. They couldn't make her stay here. She always came back by choice. The day she decided to leave would be a terrible day. She was the glue that held them together. Without her, they would of never met. And she was grateful to Kagome for doing that. When they first met, she was alone. And now she had friends who were almost like her family. Smiling sadly, she finished her food. "What do you plan to do once Naraku is dead and your curse is lifted?"

Kagome looked him over. He was still acting weird. Looking up into his eyes, she took a moment to search his amber eyes before turning her gaze away. "I'll go find you something to wear and then I'll put your clothes in the washer." Turning on her heel, she went to go find some of her fathers old clothes that he could put on just while his clothes were being washed and dried. Stopping, she turned around. "Are you coming or are you going tomstand there all day?" Yep. He had definitely lost it.

"I'm not entirely sure, to be honest.' he said, looking sadly at his hand. "Without my curse, I suppose I'll continue on along my way. Looking for someone to be my wife and bear me a son." he said, looking at her over the corner of his eye. "And you?" he asked. "What do you plan on doing when we defeat Naraku?"

"Y-Yes." he said with another nod and gulped heavily. The voices were getting louder, the smell strong, the urge to take her right then and there almost unbearable. He took a step forward after her, out of her room. Claws flexing and unflexing. Nervously.

Sango sighed and leaned back into the tree. "Well," she began watching Shippo chase Kirara around. "That depends. I still want to try to rebuilt my village. But if he won't let go of his bonds to Kohaku, then I can't do so by myself." Looking up at the sky, she put her hands into her lap. "Settlig down somewhere doesn't seem like a bad idea. After all we've been through, we all deserve to be at peace once more."

Kagome frowned seeming him this way. He didn't seem incontrol of his actions. But yet he was. "Um..." she murmured softly. "Inuyasha? Are you sure you're okay? You seem like a cat who needs to do their claws into something." Speaking of cats, Buyo lazy walked passed the bedroom door and peered inside before he continued down the hall. "You were acting weird since lunch tome yesterday. Then you actually let me go home. And then I'm not even here two hours and you're at my window." She stepped closer to him. "Tell me what's wrong."

"Heh, peace in this chaotic little world?" he inhaled deeply, just letting the image sink in. A life where they weren't at life's peril each day? Just settling down and enjoying life, without a care in the world? Well, he had to admit..."It does sound nice.' he said softly, nodding his head. "At least then I won't have to worry about my own curse ultimately taking me over." he said, his thumb gently stroking over his bonds of his Wind-Tunnel.

Well, it happened. Whatever restraint Inuyasha had on his instincts had ultimately broken down, and he felt himself move with no control over his body. She stepped forward and he rushed forward, pressing her up against the wall, his hands on her shoulders and holding her in place, his breathing heavy and shaking. He then made the next move: He leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. HArd.

take.

claim.

Sango nodded. It was a very nice thing to think about. "With Naraku gone, all the ultimate evil in this world would be gone as well." Her brown eyes moved to look at him and a small smile formed on her lips. "That's what I fight for. A better world. And to avenge those who have fallen under Naraku's wrath."

Kagome was stunned. She didn't know what to do. Part of her dreamed of this and she wanted so desperately to kiss him back. But the other part though this was all too weird. Her back arched slightly against the wall while her hands moved to his shoulders. The last time she had kissed him was to rid him of the spell Kaguya put him under. It worked nonetheless and she knew that the opportunity would never happen again. She puckered her lips against his for a split second before her mind took over. In the middle of his lip bruising kiss, she turned her head and panted. "Inuyasha?! Sit!"

He nodded in agreement with her. "I just wish we could do it sooner rather than later. Whatever he's planning, it can't be good for us or the rest of the world. So...here's to winning the day in the hopefully near future.' he said, raising his half eaten dumpling in a little toast.

WHAM! Inuyasha's face met the hardwood floor of Kagome's home, the Prayer beads around his neck glowing all the while. "Erk....ah...ow...' he groaned into the wood, his face now pretty damn bruised. "Why..."

Sango smiled at him and picked up a new dumpling to toast against his. She looked down at it and took a bite. She settled against the tree a bit while the villagers started about their late morning duties. Kids played and parents roamed around the market place for food and things to make for lunch and dinner. Shippo ended up falling asleep in the grass for a nap with Kirara snoozing by his side. Sango smiled at the sight. It was one of the most peaceful mornings they've had in a long time.

Kagome pressed her fingers to her slightly bruised lips before moving off the wall. "Because," she began. "You kissed me." Yes. It sounded really stupid because she never wanted anything more than to be with him like that, but it was so sudden. And because of his unInuyasha like actions earlier, she thought that maybe something was wrong with him. She bent down next to him. "Why did you do that all of a sudden? You always cringe at the thought of kissing anyone else other than Kikyo."

"Should we head back to the cabin?" Miroku asked after a nice, long silence, just being there, just enjoying the serenity of the scene before them, before he rose to his feet. "I'm sure Lady Kaede needs some help with Inuyasha, or vice versa."

"So you think that's an excuse to sit me?! Because I kissed you?!" He snapped, jumping up onto his knees and glaring at her, baring his teeth. His little haze had broken when his face clashed with floor below him. When she asked WHY he did it, his face lit up and he sat down, looking at the ground under him. "Hmph." How does one explain to the girl he has feelings for that "You're in heat, and I currently have an insatiable urge to claim you as my mate?" without getting sat again. "Just wanted to." he lied.

Sango nodded and finished up her dumpling. Getting up, she grabbed bag that the rest were in and gathered a still sleeping Shippo and Kirara into her arms, she headed down the little hill. Heading back to Kaede's cabin she waited for Miroku to catch up before she pushed the cover to the door way open and looked inside. There was no Inuyasha to be found.

Kagome huffed too and stood back up, crossing her arms. "Fine." She somewhat growled out. "I'm sorry. In didn't know." Turning around again, she left her room insearch of something for the hanyou to wear. Walking into her mothers room, she opened the closet door and went inside. It was half walk in closet. The sudden realization of his kiss came to her and she blushed a deep red. 'I can't believe he wanted to kiss me. Maybe that's why he's been acting different.' She thought and continued her search for clothes.

"Lady Kaede," Miroku said as he took one quick look around the hut with a frown. "Where is Inuyasha?"

"Mmm." Inuyasha growled as he rubbed his sore face. It was a relief she did that probably. However, there was that one split second she DID kiss back. So perhaps she wanted it? He didn't know. All he knew he was in the belly of the beast, surrounded by her scent and he was going to lose it again any second now. "Lousy bitch." he mumbled to himself.

Kaede looked up at them. She was currently keeping her one eye on the stew and preparing herbs for remedies. "Inuyasha said he wanted to blow off some steam. Being frustrated the past day or so." Her scruffy elderly voice was heard and Sango looked at Miroku with slight concern.

Kagome then found a pair of jeans, boxers and a t-shirt for him to wear. Closing up the box, she calmed down some before she entered her room. Seeing Inuyasha sittin on the floor in a huff, she fought the urge to roll her eyes. "Here." She stood infront of him, hding the folded out clothes for him to take. "Go to the bathroom and get dressed."

"Perhaps we should go look for him, just to make sure his anger doesn't get the better of him." Miroku said to Sango, a slight tinge of worry very obvious in his voice.

"Hm." he said as he snatched her clothing and walked into the bathroom. Moments later, he walked back out, grunting a little bit and tugging on the new clothing. He hated the clothes this generation wore. Too tight and constricting sometimes. Hardly any room to breath. Not to mention itchy. "Argh..." he said, scratching at his chest. "Hate these clothes sometimes..."

Sango nodded. Going deeper into the cabin, she set Shippo down on a blanket in the corner but kept Kirara in her arms. Just incase she was needed. Making sure the fox kit wouldn't wake up, she turned and headed out. "If we're not back by night fall... Then theres bound to be a problem." Kaede looked up at her and nodded. "He shouldn't have gone too far." Sango modded and stepped outside. "We should look around a bit. When we don't see any signs, we'll see if Kirara can track him."

Kagome fought the urge to grin. He looked really, really good in modern clothes. Even if he was very uncomfortable. Licking her lips, she looked away from him and nonchalantly tucked a lock of her black hair behind her ear. "I-I'll take your clothes down to the washer." Moving passed him, she gathered his clothes in the bathroom and started out. "It shouldn't take too long."

"We'll split up." he said with a nod. "We'll cover more ground that way. You head into the forest, I'll ask if anyone has seen him recently."

"Kagome." he said, looking over his shoulder at her as she began to leave the room. "When I was in your window...it looked like you were having a nightmare." He frowned. "You looked scared. What was it about?"

Sango gave him a nod and headed into the forest better known as 'Inuyasha's Forest'. Looking around, she walked down the path they normally took and up in the tree tops. Normally the half dog demon tended to be up in the trees. Much like a bird or s monkey.

Kagome stopped in the middle of the doorway. She didn't turn around but instead she blinked and looked down slightly without moving her head. The dream. It must be telling her something. Or to warn her. Or was it just because she was afraid of Inuyasha becoming a demon. Finally she slowly turned her body half way and looked over at his handsome face with a kind, soft smile on her lips. "It's nothing. Just a normal nightmare." She hoped.

Miroku did as he was told, going to as many of the villagers and asking if they had seen Inuyasha around at all. Sadly, no one seemed to know where he went, the closest they saw was a red blur head into the woods. At least that was some good news, with Sango looking around she'd likely find him in no time.

He frowned and narrowed his eyes a little bit. Inuyasha may have been a little on the dense side, but he wasn't stupid. Well, okay, he was, but he at the least knew when something was bothering her. The worst nightmare she had she was tossing and turning at night, not having a damn heart attack and sitting up, looking ready to cry. He dropped it though, giving her a slow, if not a disbelieving nod of his head. "Okay..."
