Change The World

Kagome made an 'oomf' sound while she was picked up. But she soon wrapped her legs around Inuyasha's hips and her arms were loosely wrapped around his shoulders. She smiled as the wind blew on her face and through her hair. She almost forgot about how it felt.

Sango smiled to herself at the plan and leaned forward. Her arms then folded infront of her and laid on Kirara's shoulders. Nap time. Leaning forward, she put her head on her arms and closed her eyes.

Inuyasha kept his attention ahead of him, trying to ignore the closeness of the girl on his back. The smell lingered, and his arms were on her thighs, holding her up to keep from falling off. His hair fluttered as much as hers, pumping his legs as quickly as he could. The farther Kagome was from him, the less chance he had to hurt her. Much as he hated being away from her.

...For the jewel shards, of course, is what he would tell himself.

Miroku on the other hand watched the ground rush underneath him, a big brown and green blur. It was such a sight sometimes to be on top of Kirara. His attention turned to Sango, who had leaned forward and appeared to be relaxing, sleeping. His eyes drifted downwards, his eyebrow cock and a sly smile crossing his face. His hand went to it's personal, favorite place: Sango's ass.

Kagome closed her eyes while the wind rushed passed them. She loved riding on Inuyasha's back. She always felt like she was flying. It was the closest she would ever come to being a bird. smiling, she leaned forward a bit while he ran through the forest.

Why they never traveled like this all the time, she didn't know.

Sango, in her light slumber, felt something warm push up against her backside. Frowning, she reached behind her. Maybe it was just Shippo. Feeling nonother than the wrist of Miroku, she opened her eyes slowly and squeezed his hand. "Hentai!!" She twisted around and slapped him. "Inwas trying to take a nap! Keep your hands to yourself...lecher." The faint blush on her cheeks was apparent before she turned back around. She wasn't going to sleep this time. Afraid he'd do it again.

Just keep your eyes on the road. Don't look at her, don't do anything. Inuyasha thought to himself, trying to look stoic as he rushed through the forest, his kimono and hair flying about wildly. Trying to keep himself calm under most circumstances.

take.

claim.

He winced his eyes and squeezed her thighs a little bit out of instinct. She had such soft skin.

Miroku, on the other hand, took the slap in stride like he always did, sporting the bright red hand print like a mark of recognition. "One of these days, Sango, you will enjoy my loving, little touches and find other ways to express that, other than slapping me.' he said with a small smile. Oh, he had seen the blush on her cheeks.

Kagome felt him grip her thighs tighter. He never did that. Usually when she slipped he would push her back up and she'd cling on tighter. The muscles in her thighs flexed under his touch and her arms wrapped around him a little more. Maybe something was wrong? Or it was an odd little reflex she never recognized before. "Inuyasha?" She leaned close to the side of his head, she knew he had sensitive hearing, but with the wind blowing around them, she just wanted to make sure. "Are you okay?"

Sango grumbled under her breath. "Lecherous monk." Glaring straight ahead of her, she looked down at Inuyasha and Kagome, making sure they weren't behind of if Kagome was okay. Inuyasha tended to be a jerk sometimes. When she noticed that they were fine, she gripped her Hiraikotsu in her hand. "Have you noticed anything weird this morning? About Inuyasha, I mean."

"Fine." he grumbled out, loud enough for her to hear. "I'm fine, don't worry about it, nothing to worry about." He turned his attention on the road. The sooner they got to Edo, the better.

"Outside of the fact he's willing to let Kagome go back without much of a fight?" Miroku asked. "Not from what I could see. He doesn't seem as bad as he was yesterday. Though he does seem eager to get back to Edo..."

Kagome let the subject go. She figured if he was ready to talk about whatever's bothering him, he'd trust her enough to tell her. When he was ready. Nodding, she yawned and waited out the ride until they got to the village.

Sango scratched behind Kirara's ear while she thought. "Yeah. He never wants her to go early. They usually fight about it and then she sits him and leaves." She looked over her shoulder to the monk in purple behind her. "I still find this unsettling."

Miroku merely smiled at her with a small shrug. "Who knows?" He asked her. "Perhaps Inuyasha is going through a change for the better. He's becoming a little distant sure, but he's also becoming a little understanding of Kagome's plight between her job here, and her family in the other time. Perhaps he's finally more understanding in that regard." He let the sentence stay in the air beofre he looked down at the hanyou, with a frown. "Or perhaps there IS something wrong with him."

They got to Edo eventually, Kirara and Inuyasha skidding to a half in the middle of the village. "Here we go." Inuyasha said as he let Kagome drop off his back.

Kagome almost fell when she got to the ground and stumbled over. Gaining her balance, she put her hands on her hips and glared at Inuyasha a moment before Sango and Miroku slid off of Kirara. The neko demon then transformed back into her small size. Scratching behind her ear with her hide paw, she mewed. Sango dusted herself off when she landed on the ground and looked around.

Everything was pretty normal for Edo. Normally something was happening. A demon attack or someone coming for help. Shippo hopped onto her shoulder hoping to get one last ride to Kaede's cabin. She didn't mind, after all he weighted almost nothing. After Kagome had her daily glare at the half dog demon, she turned on her heels and headed toward old Kaede's cabin.

He glared at her in return, simply out of instinct in the fact they ALWAYS did that. So, with a shrug, he walked after her to Kaede's cabin, while Miroku and Sango remained outside for a few moments.

"Perhaps we should wait for Kagome to go home." Miroku said to Sango. "Whatever is wrong with Inuyasha seems to stem from Kagome, it seems. It would explain why he's so anxious to send her home.'

Kagome set her backpack down onto the floor and sat down with a huff infront of the small fire that was always lit in the small, roomy cabin that was a second home to her. Leaning against the wooden wall of the cabin, she crossed her legs and looked up at Inuyasha. She didn't want to be a bother. After all, she did tend to be a little annoying at times. She wasn't exactly trained in the fine arts of weaponry or hand to hand combat. Slowly, her chocolate brown eyes moved back to the fire while they waited for Kaede. She was probably in the garden.

Sango looked at Miroku. "Kagome?" She questioned back. "Why would she be the center of his... Awkwardness?" There wasn't anything different about Kagome. Not from what she could tell. But Inuyasha did have high acute senses and could predict something faster than any normal human could. She wondered if Kagome knew she was the reason for Inuyasha's weirdness or maybe she didn't know at all. But what was Kagome doing for Inuyasha to be acting this way. "Why do you think it's because of Kagome?"

"Hmph." he said with a huff of his own and took a seat on the opposite side of the room. He looked off to the side, refusing to make eye contact with her for the moment. He shot her a quick glance before he asked, "What's your problem now?"

"Call it a hunch." he said with another shrug. "Considering that, normally, he'd never let Kagome go home without a fight, let alone for a few days when Inuyasha will barely let her leave for a few hours. Whenever she's around he gets a little more...anxious and awkward. he could be trying to stop the problem at the sorouce."

Kagome looked up at him with a furrowed brow and a slight glare. "What do you mean what my problem is? You're the one acting weird." Crossing her arms over her chest, she 'huffed'. "So what's your problem?" She was used to this, the little arguments and spats between friends. Who knows what was going on in that stubborn man's head. She would never know.

Sango nodded. "Are you hungry?" She didn't get to eat this morning. Kagome had thrown one of her futuristic snack bars at her but it didn't really curve her appetite. "Let's go get some breakfast." Shippo heard this and started bouncing up and down. "Yeah. I'm starving." He held his grumbling stomach.

"Hey, don't you worry about me.' he said, pointing to her. "Just because I'm acting weird, doesn't mean you can go ahead and act all huffy." he said to the girl, crossing his arms. "Especially when you have no reason to."

"Then let's get something to eat." Miroku said with a nod of his head. "I'm quite hungry as well."

"Of course I have a reason to." She huffed again and pointed back at him. "When you act weird it affects the rest of us. And it makes me worry because I think something is wrong!" She opened her mouth to say something else but Kaede walked in with a basket full of vegetables in her arms. "Well hello, Inuyasha," she looked at the half demon and then to the human girl. "Kagome. Ye are back earlier than I thought ye would be."

Sango smiled and headed deeper into the village with Miroku. The market place wasn't huge, but they had a little of everything and the prices weren't bad either. "What are you hungry for?" She asked them. Normally they got money from villages for killing demons. And they always split it up so they all would have some. "Dumplings!" Shippo shouted as a delicious and familiar smell hot his demo is nose.

He was almost relieved when Kaede walked in. He sighed a little bit and crossed his arms over his chest, looking off to the side and huffing again. "She's going home." he said. "To get supplies, and she's going to stay for a while. Good riddance." he said the last part under his breath.

"I suppose I could go for dumplings, as well." he said with a nod. "Anything sounds good right now." he said, as they walked amongst the market place, looking out for food amongst...other things. Something DID catch his eyes: A very pretty young lady. He was at her side immediately, almost by teleport it seemed. "My fair maiden, as sudden as this would seem from someone you have only just met, I have but one request." he grabbed her hand. "Would you please have the honor of bearing my child?"

Kagome heard this and whipped her head to look at him. She maybe human and her ears weren't as good as his, but her feelings were just as sensitive. Getting up, she grabbed her back pack and threw it over her shoulder. "Fine, Inuyasha. If you wanted me to leave so bad, then why didn't you just say so?" Looking at Kaede, she bowed to the older woman. "Nice to see you lady Kaede." turning around, she stomped out of the cabin. Kaede raised her eye brow and looked at the stubborn hanyou. "What is on your mind, Inuyasha? Ye never seem to want Lady Kagome gone."

Sango stopped and growled. Her hand balled into a fist while her other gripped onto her famous weapon. In an instant she stood behind Miroku and dropped the Hiraikotsu onto his head. "Miroku! You lecher!" Shippo shook behind Sango's hair, afraid of the demon slayer's rage against the monk's perverted needs. "He never learns." The kitsune stated with a sigh as Sango walked away from him. Her whole aura radiated 'irritated'.

"I don't know, Old Lady." he snapped at her, his foot had found a rather nasty twitching since she had left. His hand combed through his hair and he looked to the ground. "She's got this weird smell around her and...rrgh." He didn't want to tell her all this stuff, but Kaede was really likely the only person who could help him. As much as he hated to admit it. Lord knows that annoying little flea, Miyoga, wasn't around right now. "I'm hearing these weird voices and I want her to get out of here before I snap for some reason and hurt her."

Miroku's head was once more bent down from the force of the blow, a rather large bump all ready growing on the spot he was struck. The woman was gone, much to his chagrin...ah well, more fish in the sea and all that good stuff. However, based off that strange, very angry aura she was giving off, it may have been a good idea to keep SOME distance away.

Kaede looked at Inuyasha as she started to prepare a stew for dinner. First, she started by cleansing and cutting the vegetables. "A weird smell, ye say?" She questioned while slicing some carrots. "What are these voices in your head saying?" She had a little hunch as to what was going on. But she wanted to be completely sure before she stated what was on her mind.

Sango huffed and walked passed a young mother with two children and turned the corner. The dumpling stand was right around the corner. It wasn't too busy in the late morning, she she was quick to order for her, Shippo and Kirara tended to enjoy a good dumpling once in awhile. Standing in line, she ignored Miroku as she waited patiently.

"I...don't know." he lied and continued to look off to the side. "They're too soft to hear." he of course didn't need to tell the old lady about how the voices were basically "Take Kagome". "Claim the girl.". No no, no need to really bring people into that personal thing. But, sadly, knowing her, she'd get it almost immediately.

"Oh come now, Sango, surely you can't stay mad at me forever.' Miroku said, as if he were surprised she was acting this way. "You know it's difficult fo rme to control myself around pretty women."

Well that pretty much said it all. "Ah. Now I see what ye is upset about." She put the sliced carrots in a pot and paused for a moment. "Are these voices in your head telling you to do things to Lady Kagome?" If he answered yes, then she would have a basic idea of what was really going on. No, she didn't have a broad knowledge of demon habits or rituals, but being a Priestess, she had a good enough sense.

Sango sighed and didn't look at him before stepping up the the window and ordered. She gave the money to the man and waited for the dumplings to be prepared. True, she should be used to it by now. But somehow she got upset when something like this happened. Looking up at him, she scoffed. "No but you don't haveto ask them all to bear your children."

"...Yes." he said after a small pause. "That obvious, huh?" he asked, looking over at her. He should have known she would know.

"How else am I going to meet new ladies, without my calling card?" he asked with a small smile on his face. Shippo rolled his eyes and groaned. "Lecher."

Kaede smiled slightly and continued with the vegetables. "The fact that ye didn't say what was on ye mind, made it obvious." She filled the pot with water and cut up some potatoes. "I believe that the smell that Kagome is admitting is her feminine scent." She didn't look at him, but she spoke as if this were nothing at all. "In demon terms, she is in heat."

Sango nodded to Shippo and took the dumplings after thanking the man. Somehow, she just didnt come to terms that she actually had feelings for Miroku, but she knew that when he pulled these stunts, it sort of hurt her feelings. "Why don't you try a simple, 'Hello." She turned on her heels and started away from the dumpling stand. She didn't really want Togo back to the cabin. It was a nice day and Inuyasha didn't seem to be in a good mood. So having a few dumplings under a shady tree would be lovely.

"Of course she is." he said dryly, sighing and rubbing his eyes a little bit. "Well, better she gets out of here before any other demon decided to get some funny ideas around her." he said, before he admited, "and me I suppose. But yes." he said. but her scent was still pretty obvious on his kimono.

He sighed a little bit as he shrugged. Perhaps it was the time to change the subject to something less head-ache inducing. He took a seat beside her, but made sure to keep his distance. His Wind-Tunnel hand clenched a little, looking down at it idly. "So." he said after a long silence. "What do you think he's planning? Naraku, I mean." he asked finally.

Kaede nodded. It was a rather good idea. But how long would Inuyasha be able to stay away from her. She didn't know, if there wasn't anything around with her scent on it, then Inuyasha would be fine. The scent of a female in heat could drive any demon wild. Finishing up, she put the flavoring and herbs in the pot and set it over the fire. "Well Inuyasha, you made a good choice by making her go home."

Sango gave a dumpling to both Shippo and her neko companion. "Well," she looked straight ahead of her and bit into the warm doughy food. "Knowing Naraku he's probably making another reincarnation of himself. Since he doesn't want to fight us himself, he'd rather have someone do the job for him." It was then, she looked at him. "But what about the jewel shards Koga and Kohaku have? And what if Kikyo joins forces with Naraku? There's always temptation..."
