Change The World

Kagome returned his smile and nodded slightly. "Yeah. I guess you're right." She removed her hand from his cheek. If Inuyasha didn't want to be a full demon, then what would the wish on the Shikon Jewel be? Turning around, she continued making her omurice. She couldn't stand there staring at him any longer...or else she would of kissed him. But, why was she suddenly acting this way? Was it the restlessness? She had no idea.

So he decided to let the two stand in silence. Hell, that little conversation had thrown him for quite the loop, actually. As she made her meal, he was deep in concentration, trying to wonder what HE wanted. Once more, this wasn't how he was expecting it to go. It was very odd, being in a room with Kagome, in modern day Japan and being completely silent. Usually Souta was there praising him, or he was torturing Buyo by playing with his tail or picking him up. Now...well, now he was just thinking. Not to mention she was close to him earlier. A really closer. Why was he disappointed neither he nor she tried anything? Seriously, what was going on?

After she finished her food, she turned the stove off and put her omelette on a plate. Turning around, she looked up at him. He seemed to be thinking and by the looks of it, it was pretty deep. "I can see the steam coming out of your ears." She giggled and shook her head. "Do you want to watch tv until mom and grandpa come home?"

"That weird box with the lights and the little people in it?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow on it. He watched at least one...show, as Souta called it, the last time he was over. Pretty convinced that it was possessed by a demon or something. He gave a small shrug. "Sure.' he said. "Might as well."

She walked through the kitchen and around the corner to the living room. Plopping down onto the couch, she grabbed the remote and turned the tv on. Knowing certain shows Inuyasha wouldn't be interested in, she flipped through the channels until she came to Animal Planet. Hearing a male narrator speak through the speakers, she watched as a jaguar came into view in the trees.

He watched the odd box slowly, still looking very confused and very cautious of it, like he knew one of these days the strange images would come to life before him. He just knew it. Call it a hunch. Or just paranoia. He watched slowly, leaning back into the very comfy couch, his arms crossed as he watched said Jaguar attack it's meal. Heh, he remembered doing that when he was living in the wild sometimes.

Kagome frowned. "That poor gazelle..." She mumbled before she took a bite of her omurice. It was delicious. Looking up at the screen, the scene of the jaguar satin it's meal was skipped to show a giraffe eating leaves from the top of the high trees. "It's a giraffe." She glanced at the half demon sitting next to her out of the corner of her eye. Justthen, she felt a small jolt move through her body. She shrugged it off thinking it was from her miko powers.

"Such weird beasts." he mumbled. He hadn't seen anything like that in his life. Hell, he wasn't used to seeing animals charging at him, demanding his blood and the jewel shards. "You lot live in such a weird time. Look at the size of that thing's neck..." He looked at her from the corner of his eye, frowning. Was something wrong?

"It's supposed to have a long neck. So it can eat from the top of the trees." She looked at the screen again. "Just like you have dog ears on your head so you can hear." Pale pink lips twitched into a half smile as a commercial came on. It was a dog food commercial with a great pyrenees puppy being used the main character. "Aw. He's so cute." She cooed and took another bite.

HIs ears twitched a little bit at their mention, like they knew they were being talked about. A dog food commercial? Not even HE would ear that slop. "Eh, not that cute." he said, rolling his eyes. ...okay, a little cute, but she didn't need to know that.

Kagome snorted. That puppy was absolutely adorable. "By the way," Kagome finished her food and set the play on the coffee table infront of them. "What kind of dog are you, anyway?" It was a simple question. No offense at all. She just wanted to know. She never thought about it before until now.

"What...kind of Dog...' he said, staring at her before he looked off to the side. "....Um...' he grabbed his hair and looked at it. "....A....demon one...?" He asked. hell, how could he know what kind of...well, dog he was if he didn't even know what kind his father was?

She giggled and shook her head. She took that as he didn't have any idea. But that was okay. She didn't mind. Still, it'd be nice to know. Watching him grab his hair, she smiled and shook her head before turning her attention back to the tv. Just then, an elephant was shown on screen.

"Big son of a bitch." hes aid, cocking an eyebrow. He could have sworn he'd seen a few of those in his time. He couldn't be sure, but they would make a good animal to go into war from the size of them. Either way, he was watching the TV with a little less caution and was finally starting to relax, leaning over his knees and watching with interest, watching the figures move as if they were right in front of him. It was so..mesmerizing and awe-inspiring.

She looked at him while he watched the tv. Atleast he was feeling a little less cautious while watching the television. Getting a little comfortable, she scooted closer to him and gently laid her head against his shoulder. "It's an elephant. These animals live in Africa." She said softly and suddenly removed her head from his shoulder, regaining control of her mind. "Its the largest land mammal on earth."

"I bet I could take it." he said to himself when he felt her head on his shoulder, his face lit up for a moment in a blush and prepared to at least lean his head against hers, when she moved away. A little disappointed, he nodded a little bit. "Learn that in school?" he asked. Hey, at least he remembered the name of it. The amount of times she talked about the damn place, he felt like he went there himself.

She looked at him. "Yeah. But tv can be educational at times. So what indint learn from reading, I can sometimes learn from the tv or the computer." The narrator started talking about elephants and how they were dying from poachers who wanted their tusks to sell for lots of money. Smiling at Inuyasha, she turned back to the screen when a mother cheetah was playing with her two cubs. "Aw they're so kawaii!" There was a pause. "You know, Inuyasha, if you really wanted to ever see these animals up close, there is a zoo in the city."

"A zoo?" he asked. What a strange word. "What in the hell is a Zoo? It sounds painful." He said. Of course it probably meant something else entirely. It always was in this time.

Kagome laughed. "Its a place were people go to see animals." She turned her body slightly so that she was somewhat facing him. "You can learn about them. Where they were born, how they came to be and how they were discovered." There was a smile on her lips. "It's really fun. I went there in elementary school. When I was younger than Souta."

"Hm...' he said, looking down at the floor and nodded a little bit. "Okay then. I suppose it would be..." A small apuse, thinking of the word. "Interesting, I think." Well it was. He could size up these things in case he were to ever encounter them...nothing the Tetsusaiga couldn't handle, he bet...or his claws for that matter. So yeah, a learning experience, as much as it pained him.

Kagome nodded and got off the couch, grabbing her plate, she took it to the kitchen and washed it. "Yeah. We'll go sometime. I think you'd like it." She said happily and then went back into the living room a minute later. "Is there anything you want to see? You can watch just about anything on the tv."

"Eh." he said with a little shrug. "I'm fine for now. Kinda hurts my eyes." he said, rubbing his eyes with his knuckle and grumbling about it under his breath. "What else is there to do around here?" He asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

She shrugged and turned off the tv. "We have card and board games. I have music." She smirked evilly. "We can talk about boys and paint our nails." Leaning back into the plush coushins of the couch, she continued to think. "There isn't really any demons to kill. We could go to the library or the mall. But then Eri and my other friends might be there..."

"Eri and..." he said, thinking about it for a moment. "Those three girls you hang out with? As in, the ones who...hate my guts?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow at her. Wow, modern day was really boring. He rose to his feet and stretched. "Hmph. My Kimono done yet?" He mnissed wearing it.

"Oh! I almost forgot." She scrambled to her feet and bolted for the wash room. Hearing nothing coming from the room, she instantly knew that the washer was finished. "Do you want it in the dryer or do you want to wear it a bit damp?" She asked, pulling his garments out of the machine. She was a bit short so she had to practically climb inside. Her feet were about an inch off the ground as she reached for his pants.
