Little Things That Bother You

People asking stupid questions. Whoever said "There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers" was very, very wrong.

Yup. Yeah, the thread is doing it again, the lack of loading. Yay... :|

There we go, on topic: when the thread does exactly this, :|

Rea- My teachers used to tell me that all the time.....

In my head, I would always think "Challenge Accepted."

And then I would stun them with a display of questions that punched the boundaries of average Elementary/Middle/High School dumbfuckery.

Made me proud when I finally found a teacher that could go tit for tat with me when it came to being deliberately stupid. Or maybe it was because he might've been legitimately crazy, we never could figure out which.

@Snake-

I cried manly tears of pride.

1-Up-ers!!!!!!! Seriously.... I don't want to hear how much better and/or worse you've experienced something! Maybe you should just shut up and listen for once and keep your 'experiences' to yourself. *eyeroll*

When people overly embellish and/or exaggerate things to the point of obvious to everyone around them, however they are too self absorbed to notice what they are doing not to mention that no one gives a shit.

You're right. My bad, did that thing again, where I pay too much attention.

Thing that bother me right now: trying to make something out of steak tips, chicken tenderloins, potatoes, beef/chicken broth, and onions.

I put it all in a stock pot.... I have no idea what I'm doing.

All I wanted was to make stew. :(

I have done that before.. never fun.

People who who think, because you are no longer influenced by them, that you are obligated to have a horrible life and who get pissy when you don't. It really is a pain in the ass when it is a relative, that one.

People who take relationship advice from "friends" who haven't had a stable or realistic relationship in five years or longer. Exqueeze me? WTF?!?!?

Sounds like my ex, that first part.

Im buggered by food safety regulations. I made the stew finally (its missing something.... Its very bland, flavorless.) But.... The regulations say that I need to cool it down to a certain temp range in a certain timeframe.... I have neither a food thermometer anymorem , nor do I have any more ice, and my fridge takes 72 hours to restokc to full.

EDIT: Holy crap, update.

I hate using matches close to my face.... The silver igniting, it.... Burned the ever-loving crap out of my nose hairs and eyes. It smelled... Like what I imagine really bad soap mixed with ozone would smell like.

When people don't understand what personal boundaries mean. When I tell you I want nothing to do with you, don't drop in on my conversations or quote me on things. I don't even want you laughing at my jokes.

People who have "reality issues". Those fall into the following subcategories:

1. People who cannot see their own "victimhood" is either not that unique, not that traumatic, and/or not that big of a deal. I know people who are/have been genuinely victimized, and being told you sound "ditzy" or "ethnic" or that you are dressed "inappropriately" or "too fringe", is not it.
2. People who assault you with their ideas, beliefs, and/or philosophies while criticizing yours and telling you that you have no right to do the same.
3. People who see a privilege as a "right", and who are getting a free ride and feel they deserve it no matter what.
4. People who confuse "conservation", "tolerance", and "diversity" with exclusivity, permissiveness, and relativistic subjectivity.
5. People who just think "I'm too sexy/smart/special/etc." to have to accept/deal/acknowledge even reality around me.

So... (Feel free to correct me) but you're opposed to the idea of a Neveau Riche? Or is it just the entitled, self-absorbed ones?

I agree and can see where you are coming from, and if you told them they should get it. The big problem is in the telling, and no matter what, no matter how intelligent and sensible the person... It actually has to be said. No "they will get the idea". Not criticizing, Rave, but there are those who just don't get it without an actual statement. You made it, so that is the difference.

Having said that...

People who think "they'll get it" when that is what the actual words are for. To quote the series Titus from the episode Tommy's Girlfriend (warning may not be a direct quote) :

Carol: "No means No!"

Titus: "Yes, but in order for no to mean no, you actually have to say 'NO'."

Throwing away $85 worth of ingredients because you didn't pay attention form 5 minutes and burned they stew you'd been making for 2 days. And then being forced to throw it out because it got so bad it makes the entire house smell like over burnt tobacco and flour.

Ouch, Baby... very ouch.

People under the age of 25 who think something is so "hip" and original... till someone my age or older shows them that it either is a rip off of something that happened long before or is just a remade idea.

So... Everything on TV and in Hollywood for the better part of the last 15 years?

What bothers me: When people (especially relatives) piss you off so much about arbitrary bullshit (that you KNOW they are making up just for the sake of needing something to do) that you break your phone, scream their ear off, and get a rage nosebleed from the overwhelming desire to shut their gaping horse's pussy of a mouth before you hit them so hard their organs turn into the name mushy mix of gray paste and liquid stupid their brains must be made of.

Tl;dr Yes, I fucking mad.
