Angel's and Demons

Nanoki was getting extremely pissed, and never before had he ever gone into hodidng with a battle pending. "Baka!" he growled adding "I've never gone into hiding before a battle, or during for that matter. So I damn well won't do it no..... Wait what? The hell do you mean the three of us?" he asked completely caught off guard, and utterly confused by her comment. He did not know what was going on but it seemed things were being kept from him and he was getting even more pissed, yet it may be good he did not know however he hated people not telling him things that involved him directly.

Mary did not like being yelled at all she was trying to do was help. But then he suddenly and she realized what she had done. She sighed a little."Yes the three of you, I am sorry I didn't want you to find out this way but Aurora is pregnant" she paused a moment letting him take it in "you have to be around to raise you child"

Shaking his head Nanoki tried to understand, but it seemed he could not process the information. "What do you mean she's pregnant, and how do you know before either of us?" he asked still trying to wrap his mind around the concept of possibly being a father. "I know I have to be here to raise the child, but I won't run from a fight. You may not understand, but being a demon means fighting. Whether it be amongst ourselves or fighting with you guys, so our lives revolve around fighting even if we may not want it to. So I would appreciate it if you didn't tell me to cower away like a dog with it's tail between it's legs, I may be a wolf demon but I'm no coward and I don't run which is why Michael and I clashed so many times." he said moving to the door and looking out into the night sky.

"You really are and idiot aren't you. There has never been a child like yours ever, think about what kind of power that would bring into this world. Now think of who would want to maybe get their hands on it. Now think what if something were to happen to Aurora during child and your already dead be you don't coward." Mary manged to say as calmly as she could

"You can say what you like, but don't ever call me a coward..." he growled. There had only been one left living to call him a coward, and that was because Aurora would not let Nanoki kill him. "I understand what you're saying, but you also have to realize I've fought too many battles and I'm still here. Don't think a leigion of angels could kill me that easily, especially after standing toe to toe with Michael so many times and still surviving." he replied still staring out the window, but a one on one fight with Michael was different from fighting a leigion of angels. However he knew he would not be fighting alone. Despite those facts he did not really want to leave Aurora's side, and since she was with child it made it even harder for him to even think about leaving.

"So you would rather fight to prove a point, to prove that you are just tougher than all the rest...than stay with me" It was not Mary's voice this time it was Aurora's. She was standing in the to door way of the bed room looking at him. Hurt covered her face like a blanket. "I thought you would not want your child to grow up with a father like you too, but i guess ego is fair more important to you, than be willing to run to the ends of the earth with me and your baby" tears came from her eyes. she turned back to the bed room

"No I would rather fight to protect my wife and child." he growled, hating that his words were being twisted into something they were never ment to be. "I would love to just run and completely forget all of this, but I've found no matter how far I run it's never far enough. Knowing that is hard, and it makes me want to fight so I can protect what little family I have left. I could care less about proving how tough I am." Nanoki said, and sighed turning away. "I don't want my child to face what I had to, and that's another reason I want to fight. If we can end this damned war once and for all then everyone will be better off, but if you want to think my motives for fighting are pride and to prove I'm the best there's no way I can change your mind and I know that." he cursed himself silently for letting it come to this.

"Let me ask you this though Aurora, since we've been together have I ever done anything to give you the idea I don't love you, or that I would do anything to harm you?" he asked wishing he could show her that what he was trying to do was for love. Nanoki was in a hard position, yet he would try his damnedest to get out of it. "I know what it's like to grow up without family, and I would rather not have my child go through that. I also don't want my child having to look over their shoulder as they grow for fear of the angels attacking, and I also know that is no way to grow so if there is any way for me to make a difference I'll try." he stated, but he took a deep breath and added "However I leave the final descision to you... If you say you don't want me to do what I can so be it. If you decide you want me to run with you so be it."

In the midst of Aurora and Nanoki fighting Mary had gone just as quickly as she came knowing there was enough going on here that her two sense wouldn't make a difference.

Aurora was sitting on the bed now, her head in her hands tears streaming down her cheeks. She was truly shaken by everything. "I don't know what else to do Nanoki, you have been fighting this battle for years and not much has changed. So what makes you think another fight would help? I just want us to have a chance to live a life, a chance want both of us to be there to raise our baby." She still was having troubling wrapping her mind around the fact she was pregnant.

After composing himself, Nanoki walked into the room and after hearing what she had to say he sighed softly. "It's true that I've been fighting all this time, but there's been one major change... Michael is no longer a threat, and that means it will be a bit less troublesome. One more fight means we may be closer to ending this once and for all." he replied gently. Moving to the bed he sat next to Aurora, and wrapped his arms around her trying to comfort her. Yet he did not know what to say, she was going to have their child and as much as he really wanted to stay with her, he did not know if he could ask people to sacredice themselves for their lives and he not do anything. "As I said I'll leave the final descision to you my love. What ever you want I'll abide by, but the reason I want to fight is to protect the two of you." he murmured softly, and he leaned forward kissing her forehead gently.

Aurora's arms wrapped around his waist as he sat next to her. her face pressed against his chest tears still falling from her eyes. She felt hopeless, nothing she said would make it her decision alright. "I don't know what to do Nanoki, I just don't." She mumbled through her tears. She couldn't help but she was so worried something would happen to him if he was to fight. "Why don't we wait to see if the fight happens at all, Mary said it could be a while" she said softly. her only hope was for the fight to be able to start after the baby was born.

"Yes she did say it would take time, but I've found once angels set their minds to something there's no stopping them or trying to change their minds." he replied softly, and added "Especially since they want both yours and Michael's powers. I just hope that Gabriel, Raphiel, and Uriel aren't part of the legion comming against us, because that would make things even more difficult." He fell silent as he held her, yet he also wished the next battle would not happen. Either way things would probably be getting worse for them, and he hoped that as long as they were together everything would be alright. Taking the herbs Mary gave him Nanoki looked at them for a few moments before asking "Do you have any idea how to use these?" At that moment he realized, he should have paid more attention to what Jamie had tried to teach him.

He planned to go over to see Jamie in a few hours when she got up, and this time he would learn what she had to teach. He would also tell her about the recent development to see what help she could possibly offer. "I'll be going to see Jamie when she gets up, so after that we can go shopping if you wish. We're going to need all the help we can possibly get, and that means trying to pull all of the resources available to myself and those I have contact with. After we finish our shopping I'll set everything up for us to leave here." he said trying to get everything set in his mind, yet he remembered the charms Mary gave him and so he put the necklace on hoping she was right about it hiding him.

Aurora drew a deep breath trying to calm her tears but it was still a tricky. "My three brother could go either way i guess. I think though before i left they thought Michael was taking things to far. So i am hoping now they will stand against Michael's followers. Part of me wants to try to go see them, see if I can get them to help." Aurora looked up as he he held the herbs. "Make them into a tea" She explained softly.

Aurora finally got some control over her emotions. She watched Nanoki put on the necklace. "Thats pretty powerful charm you have, I can feel its power coming off it like a beacon" her hand rest on her stomach and sighed a little. "You know most normal parents when they found out they are having a child its a happy thing, for us though....i am sorry happy but i don't think we will ever have the chance to celebrate the fact"

"We have more than enough time to celebrate the fact that we have a child, and I'll show you when we go to Jamie's. However we're not normal parents so don't worry about that, just be happy we have a son or daughter and know we'll do the best we can to raise the child no matter what." he replied gently as he started to go to prepare the tea. "If you think they'll listen to you I say try it, but don't be caught off guard by anyone." Nanoki said as he went to the kitchen, and started boiling the water for the tea. Calling to her he replied "I'll be looking for help among the clans so we can hopefully have more support when the time comes. I think we'll be leaving here in a few days, but I won't say where until I know we're safe."

He knew it would be tough on the two of them, but he also knew that they would find a way through everything. Some way they would find another way to do what they had to, yet only time would tell how things would turn out. If he had anything to say about it they would be together forever, so he would do what ever he had to so he could protect her. Finally he finished the tea, and took the pot with a cup to her so she could drink it. Nanoki could not really say he trusted Mary,, but at this point what could he do other than follow what she had said. "We will get through this, and the two of you will be safe." he said and took out his phone quickly dialing a number he had not used in over a hundred years.

Aurora nodded a little. "I guess i try to talk them" she knew they would be a good chance they would be understanding. even if her borthers didn't agree that the war would be stopped they would do anything to protect her and the baby. She knew they would not be that heartless, not like Michael. She waited for him to return with the tea once he brought it back she watched as he dailed his phone. Wondering who he would be calling already.

He had to get things set up for their trip, and he knew that the person he was looking for was already up. Nanoki handed Aurora the tea, and sat beside her again making the call. "Tatsuki is Tanaka home? Yes it's really me, and it's urgent I speak to your husband. Oh... Really? If you're not too busy could I get you to go over and check to see that everything is fine? I'll be over in a few days, so if you could do this for me I would appreciate it. Ok. Thank you. I'll talk to you in a few days." he hung up the phone satisfied with the outcome of the call. "Everything should be ready for when we make our trip." he said turning to Aurora and smiling some.

Aurora took the tea and sipped it. It was a little bitter but then again most teas of that type were. As she sipped she listened to his call. As he Hung up the phone she set her tea sown on the night table. Her arms then wrapped around him."It will be ok I just know it."

Gently he wrapped his arms around her, and smiled softly replying "Yes it'll be alright. It may take a bit of time, but we have enough." Nanoki looked at the time on his phone for a moment, so they still had about an hour before Jamie got up to start her daily routine. He could not believe it was already almost seven am, but that was no real surprise when angels popped in during the night. However he wondered how Jamie would take the news, and how mad would she be at him for not marrying Aurora first.

Aurora rested her head against his neck she kissed it gently. then she nibbled his ear just a little. "You know even with every thing else that is happen i am still overjoyed that i am pregnant. I never thought in a million years that it would happen. And now i am with the greatest man on earth and having his child." the reality of having a baby was no starting to set in with her. and just like most women she was extremely happy. her hand rest on her stomach were their child grew inside her.

He smiled softly as he felt her kisses, and her nibbles while he listened to her talk. As she called him the greatest man on Earth Nanoki thought about disputing that, but kept his mouth shut because he knew by far that he was not the greatest man. Instead he said "I wouldn't call myself the greatest anything, but I can say that I'm glad you came into my life. Without you I would still be hunted right now, and I wouldn't be expecting a child either." Wrapping his arms around her he smiled more, and healed Aurora close for a few moments before saying "You need to finish your tea, so you can heal faster." he wanted her to be back to full health as quickly as possible, since the tripthey were going to embark on would probably take a lot out of her.

Aurora pulled away from him just a little making a face. "it taste horrible" she said as she picked up the cup and took another sip. she took another sip, after another moment she downed the rest of the cup. She showed him an empty glass. "there are you happy." She stuck her tongue out at him. Her happiness was returning to her slowly. She just hoped it would last.

"I know it tastes horrible, but if it helps then it has to be done." he replied with a light chuckle. He had lost count of how many time he had been made to drink thigngs such as that, but in the end it always helped. As she stuck her tongue out at him Nanoki leaned forward and grazed his teeth across it, quickly he looked at the time before swelling his arms around her tenderly saying "You need to be back at full strength, not just for yourself but also for our child. I want you to remember no matter what happens I'll always love both of you." He had no idea of what the future held, but he wanted them to know he loved them both dearly.

Aurora jump a little as she felt his teeth touch her tongue. When he pulled back she laughed. She had a very sweet laugh she smiled brightly as her pulled her to him again. Her arms wrapped around him "I love you so much Nanoki, nothing will ever change it." Aurora leaned in and kissed his lips tenderly. "I think you are going to be a wonderful father."

It had been a long time since he was truly happy, but that had all changed the day he inadvertently hit her with a fireball. Now he could finally say he had a family of his own, and he was happier than he had ever been before. However he did not know the first thing about being a parent, so that had him slightly worried. "I don't even have the first clue as to where I should start trying to be a father." Nanoki answered, but he would have to find out before the child was born. He would call on the few friends he had that were parents so he could find out at least the basics, and when the time came he would have to figure the rest out.

Aurora had a soft smile on her lips as she looked deep into his eyes. "Oh my love, you do know how you just don't know it yet." she touched his cheek gently "Will you love your child no matter what? will you always do whats best for them? Will you get down and play with them no matter how tired you are? there are so many things you just don't see in your self cause you never had too, but trust me i see it"

He was confused once again, but he figured it was going to be a constant part of life. Gently his lips curved up into a smile, and he noticed that with Aurora around he was smiling more than he had in a long time. As she posed her questions he thought about them quietly, Nanoki imagined the scenes as the questions were asked. He wondered if he could do all the things she asked, but he realized it would come naturally as time passed. He could picture his parents and all they did for him, but their time was cut short so he did not have a chance to see what came with being a parent. His parents loved him enough to give him the chance to live, and he knew that if it was necessary he would do the same for his offspring.
