Angel's and Demons

Aurora hung her head a moment. she looked up and sighed, "I think alot of things have changed since Michael is not around. A lot of angels can think for them selves. They can see that demons are not bad, just as i have been lucky to see." Aurora bit her lip. "My brothers I have to ask of you a big favor, I have to try to keep both Nanoki and myself far from the fighting...you see well i am pregnant"
 
"That may be true, but it is also creating even more turmoil here. With Michael gone many wish to continue in his footsteps and finish what he started, but many others hope to end all of the fighting just as we do." Raphael said quietly to her. He knew many that wished an end to the fighting so everything could return to some semblance of normality, yet by the same standards many wanted the fighting over by the total extinction of all demons.

Neither Raphael nor Gabriel could have foreseen the news she had given them, and they both stood silently staring at her for a few moments. Gabriel recovered first and said "What do you meant you are pregnant? How could this happen?" Both Gabriel and Raphael cared about Aurora, and they would do what they could. The news was something they never could have expected, yet they both knew they would do what they could. "What would you have us do?" Gabriel asked still trying to understand.
 
Aurora knew the news must have shocked her brothers however she had to tell them. "it wasn't planned, but i couldn't be happier. I love Nanoki very much and i want to spend forever him. But with the threat of more attacks coming he is worried and wants to protect me and his child at any cost. For now i had him agree to not put himself out there after all i will need help raising the baby, i know nothing about demons. But for now i need your help in anyway possible to keep the fighting as far away from us as you can"
 
Gabriel looked at Raphael confused, but they both smiled slightly shaking their heads. While Raphael said "Aurora dear sister, do you not remember all the times Michael came back to us beaten? It was your beloved that did it to him, so I think he may very well be able to take care of himself. However if you are really that worried about him, I think we may be able to try and keep the fighting away from you both."

Gabriel shook his head some more saying "I doubt Nanoki needs to have us protect him, but if it is your wish we will comply to the best of our abilities. However if things get out of hand and we need to call upon him, do we have your permission to do so? We will try to keep him out of the fighting until we can no longer do anything more, but we need to know if it gets bad can we have him help?"
 
Aurora looked at both of them, "he has had so much unhappiness in his life i just want to give him a chance to have a somewhat normal life, watch his child grow as his father never had a chance. So please yes do what you can, but if it gets to bad, call on me instead. I don't doubt Nanoki is strong enough, however this is just as much my fight as his and he deserves happiness so much more than i do"
 
Gabriel shook his head and asked "What do you mean he deserves more happiness than you do? What do you think he will do if we were to call on you, and you died? First he would try to fight his way through them to get to us, and if he made it we would be dead as well. You are also an expectant mother, and our beloved little sister so there would be no way we would call on you."

Raphael decided to add to the conversation by saying "I would rather not make your husband mad for any reason, much less taking his wife and mother of his child away from him in such a way. As Gabriel said there would be no way we would put you in any position such as that, because you deserve to be happy too after all that happened before you joined us."
 
Aurora shook her head a little. "I can certainly handle myself in any fight, and now i have both my powers and Michael's inside me, i certainly pity the idiot who thinks they can take me on" She paused a moment. "And i am not Nanoki's wife, i am not even sure if that is what he truly wants or just wants to be his wife because i am pregnant. And just being on earth with Nanoki has given more than enough happiness to make up for the past"
 
Raphael sighed shaking his head, and carefully said "Aurora word is that many of the opposing force are looking to try and take those powers from you. Do you really think we would put you in that kind of danger? Wait... You are not his wife, you do not know if he wants you as his wife, and yet you are carrying his child?" Raphael could not understand how this could have happened, yet he also knew it was not his place to ask.

Gabriel was shocked by Aurora's words, and he almost had nothing to say. Finally after a moment he asked "Have you asked if he wants you as his wife?" Gabriel was concerned that Nanoki may have done something that would warrant Raphael and himself paying a visit to the demon. "I do not think that a less than two months could make up for everything, so having you join the fight is completely out of the question." he said to her, and turning to Raphael he said "Well brother it looks as though, if we fail then things may just end badly."
 
Aurora looked down not able to look at her brothers. "yes i know i some ways it was foolish what i did, in others i am so happy. I love Nanoki, and he loves me i know he does, however i don't know if he is ready for all this." She bit her lip, "I haven't asked him, part of me is afraid what the answer might be. And i know you brothers, you will not fail"
 
Gabriel chuckled softly, wondering how to say what needed to be said. "It may have been foolish, but I think that as long as you both are willing to do what is necessary to provide love and support for the child all is fine. However you NEED to confirm how he feels, and if he loves you as much as you say there should be no need to worry." he said to her with a smile.

Raphael nodded his assent, and he told her "I believe what you say, so you really should find out how he feels. I think that you will be surprised by what you find, and when you open what he gave you I think you may understand a little more." Raphael did not tell her that the ring she was given had belonged to Nanoki's mother, but she would find out soon enough.
 
Aurora pulled the box from her pocket. "How do you know whats in here i haven't dared to open it, not till i can return to Nanoki and talk to him" her face looked puzzled and she sighed a little. "I know i should talk to him its just hard. I know he is the right man for me, i can feel it deep down inside, i just hope he feels the same"
 
Raphael shrugged, and smiled at her. "I can feel the meaning behind it, and I can say that I have seen it once before. At least if it is what I think it is. I would think that being who he is, that what is in the box is exactly what I think it is. I really think you should open it, and then figure out what you think it means." he replied with another shrug.

Gabriel looked at Raphael with a raised eyebrow almost questioningly. "Do you mean it is..." he asked curiously, and upon receiving a nod he grinned. "Well I would have to say I give him credit for that at least. Aurora if you feel that way you should find out what he has given to you, I can not really say any more until you know what you want and what you want to do." Gabriel said and turn slightly as he thought to himself.
 
Aurora looked at the box again and drew a deep breath. She wanted to open it. But at the same time she didn't she was a little afraid. She looked at her brothers, she knew they would not steer her wrong however she was still a bit nervous. When Gabriel said she has to know what she wants it came naturally to her. "well i know what i, i want to be with him forever, i want us to be happy."
 
Gabriel watched quietly, and nodded slightly at her words. "If you truly want to be with him forever, and you want to be happy then I would think the only thing to do would be to open the box and tell him what you want when you return." he replied a bit knowingly, but they could only do so much for her. Aurora would have to take what they had given, and do what it was that she wanted.

Raphael stood with a slight smile playing across his lips, yet he said nothing for a few moments as he let Gabriel's words sink in. "He is right surprisingly." he joked about Gabriel's words. "The truth is that no one can chose for you, only you can decide what you want to do. However if what you have told us is true then Gabriel is right, but we are merely older brothers who worry about their love struck little sister." he joked trying to lighten the mood a bit.
 
Aurora drew a deep breath once again, and looked to her brothers. Her hand touch the lid on the box and she paused a moment. Finally with one more deep breath Aurora open the box to see a beautiful ring inside. she stared at for a moment before looking up at her brothers once again. "I thought you said this would help me understand?" she had a truly puzzled look on her face, in her time people did not exchange rings as a symbol of wanting to be married.
 
"Do you not understand dear sister? In these times now men give women a ring, and it symbolizes the feeling of love and is a symbol of wanting to marry the one it is presented to. Now I want you to look carefully at the ring, and recognize the age of it." Gabriel said softly trying to get her to realize what she had in her hands. Carefully Gabriel added "That ring belonged to his mother..."

Raphael stood silently watching Aurora's reaction for any sign of comprehension, but he added nothing more than what Gabriel had already said. Because there was nothing more he could add that had not already been said, yet he wondered if she would really understand what the gift she held meant especially to Nanoki.
 
Aurora taken back a moment that this tiny ring could mean so much. Did it truly mean Nanoki wanted to marry her. She couldn't believe it. She looked at the ring again as her brother and suggested. "I umm, I have to go, I have to go talk to Nanoki, I hope you understand. Thank you both" She then hugged and kissed both her brothers.
 
Raphael smiled as he watched her, and when she said she had to go talk to Nanoki he simply nodded having expected as much. Yet he thought she might have been able to figure it out without them having to tell her, but he understood that she had a lot on her mind right now.

Gabriel smiled to her softly, and nodded his assent as well knowing that there would be a few things the two would have to discuss. Hugging Aurora he reluctantly let her go, but he knew she had to do this "We understand, and we will do what we possibly can for the two of you." Gabriel said gently, and they let her go do what she had to.
 
"Thank you, and I will be back and I fully except you to be good uncles when the baby is born." She gave them a smile before she left and returned back to Nanoki's apartment. She landed on the balcony and took a moment before going inside. She held the ring box in her hand as she entered the apartment. "Nanoki, i am back" she said softly not sure if he was even there.
 
Gabriel and Raphael both looked at each other for a moment, then they laughed aloud with Raphael saying "Do you really think we would make good uncles?" Shaking his head he hugged her, only to be followed by Gabriel. "Be good." they said as she left.

Having been busy there were several boxes by the front door, and they were waiting to be picked up however there would probably be more. He was in the bedroom going through things that should have been gone through long ago, he was only keeping what he thought was necessary. Nanoki sat looking at a painting that had been done of his parents, and he had his iPod on so he could not hear Aurora's call.
 
Aurora wondered where he could be. She bit her lip a moment. Maybe he changed his mind about wanting to marry her and was now hiding from her. She tried to shake though idea's off and moved through the living room to the bedroom. She saw him sitting on the floor looking at a painting she smiled a little and touched his shoulder letting him know she was there.
 
The painting brought back memories of his childhood with his parents, and he smiled slightly since it was a bitter sweet set of memories. Yet despite the fact that they had been pulled away from him too early, Nanoki remembered the good things which brought a few tears to his eyes. Feeling a hand on his shoulder he looked up to see Aurora standing over him, and with a smile he removed his headphones. "How did it go?" he asked setting the painting down carefully.
 
Aurora couldn't help but see the painting he was looking at, it had to be his parents. He looked just liked them. She smiled a little not wanting him to dwell on any saddness. "It went well Gabriel and Raphael will help any way they can, and they are happy to be uncles. It was so nice to see them again"
 
Smiling he nodded some, as he gazed at the painting his smile grew a bit wider. He would have to go see his parents and tell them the good news when he got home, but he knew it was going to be tough yet they would be happy he was sure. "I'm happy that everything worked out, and you got to see them again. Maybe once this is over we should invite them to come over when the have time." Nanoki replied as he looked up at her smiling still.
 
"I would like that very much, and I think they would like it too." She Kissed him softly on the lips before pulling away and looking at him. "And then with a little coaching from brothers i opened this" She had a soft smile on her lips as she showed him the box. She wondered what he would say.
