Angel's and Demons

More than anything Nanoki wanted to have Aurora in his life, and he also wanted more run anything to have her as his wife. Yet all the answers to many questions would be revealed in time, and if all went well they would have all the time they could possibly want. "Everything will work out, and everything should be fine." he replied with a soft smile, and he leaned over to lightly kiss her forehead. As they approached Jamie's he was slightly nervous, that she would not allow him the time to do what he wanted. As they approached the house he stepped forward to ring the doorbell, so their presence was announced but she had said to com back in a few days so she could check Aurora's wound.

Aurora smiled at him when he said everything will work out. Part of her knew that was true. But of her still could not help but worry a little. As he ringed the door bell she could tell he was nervous. Her hand held tight to his then giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "Everything will work out, and everything should be fine." she said softly to him smiling just a little.

Softly he smiled with a slight nod, and he knew he would have to calm himself down. Slowly he took a deep breath to calm himself, yet it was harder now than it had ever been before. Now he had another important descision ahead of him, but he hoped this time would be different. However when she turned his words against him it elicited another smile, and he relaxed a bit. "Yes everything will be fine. We just have to deal with things as they come." Nanoki replied softly.

Aurora drew a deep breath and nodded. She hoped Jamie would be happy for them. But she knew deep down that she would be, She thought that Jamie would only care about Nanoki's happiness. And Aurora knew she would do whatever it took to make him happy.

It would all be a matter of time before he found out what Jamie was going to say about this turn of events, but he had an idea as to what she would say. Knowing the woman as well as he did Nanoki had a feeling after she found out they were going to be parents there would be a private sit down chat. He groaned silently to himself not really wanting to deal with it, yet he knew it would be because she cared.

After a few moments Jamie opened the door and looked at the two of them standing on the front porch. It struck her as odd since Nanoki had always just came in, but she smiled and moved aside saying "Do come in. What exactly do we owe this honor to?"

Aurora could still tell that Nanoki was nervous about telling Jamie. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze as the door opened. Aurora smiled at Jamie, "Hello Jamie. We came by for a visit" she smiled as they stepped inside she thought that Nanoki should be the one to tell her.

"We came for Aurora's check up. You wanted us to come in a few days so you could see how the healing was going." Nanoki replied with a slight smile, trying to find the best time to tell Jamie they were expecting. Slowly he lead Aurora to the room used for exams. Once there he moved a few steps away from Aurora, so Jamie would have room to work.

Jamie closed the door and followed them down the hall to the exam room. With a slight shake of her head she wondered what the real reason they were at the house for. "I see, and is there another reason you are here?" she asked as she started to get everything together.

Aurora moved over to the exam table. She bite her lip a moment and then looked to Nanoki. She was not sure if she should say anything. "Umm, well..." She then looked to Nanoki again her eyes locked on his.

It was tough for them both to be in this particular situation, but there was little that could be done about it. He smiled softly to Aurora, and shook his head slightly as he took the lead by saying "We have some good news, and some bad news. The bad news is that we'll be leaving shortly, and I don't know if we'll be back... However the good news can wait until after the check up is finished."

As Jamie finished gathering her supplies, she turned to glare at Nanoki for a moment. "What do you mean you are leaving and may not return? What is this all about Nanoki?" she asked as she grew aggravated, since she did not want to lose him again after having him so close. "What ever is going on we can deal with it, and you can stay here." she added gently, as she tried to reign in her temper.

Aurora looked down a moment after seeing Jamie's reaction. She also didn't like that Nanoki didn't tell her. Aurora looked up again biting her lip. "i am afraid this my fault, you see some of Michael's followers still want to continue on with this silly war, So they will be coming after me to get Michael's power, and this time we can't be in the line of fire, we have to get away..."

"The bright side of that is that I'm going home, and from there innocent casualties can be reduced if not eliminated when they come after us. However from what it sounds like we're going to need everyone we can get, and I don't know how many are still willing to follow our name after so long..." he added looking at the floor. He really did not want to tell Jamie the truth, but he knew she would find out soon enough.

Jamie looked from Aurora to Nanoki, and back again she did not want this nor did she really want him to be forced to make this choice once again. The fact that he was going back to the place that held so many of the memories that caused his nightmares when he was a child was distressing, yet he was a man now and he knew how to cope with the things he needed to. With a slight nod she sighed not wanting the fighting to continue, but she smiled a little saying "I am sure that most of those that were loyal to you still are, but I do not know how many would be willing to continue the fighting." With that she carefully started to examine Aurora, and within a few minutes she was finished. A slight smile graced her lips as she said "Well it looks like angels heal a bit faster than even Nanoki does."

Aurora smiled a little. and nodded. "My friend came and gave me something that helps heal a little faster." She sat up and then looked at Nanoki mouthing the words tell her to him. She knew he didn't want to but he should and he knew he should

Jamie turned to look at him for a few moments, and she was slightly worried about his 'good news' since his 'bad news' was really horrifying news. She said nothing for the time being, and went about cleaning up the few supplies she had pulled out. She was extremely worried about this new turn of events, and she knew him well enough to know that he would probably try to be on the front lines as he always had. His protective nature would not allow him to stand by and allow others to be hurt, or killed without him doing something about it. Jamie hope that this woman 'had something up her sleeve' as they said, so she could keep him away from the fighting if at all possible.

Slowly he moved next to Aurora searching for the right words, but he could not really come up with any delicate way of telling Jamie the news. Carefully he took a deep breath, and even more carefully he started by saying "Well the first piece of good news is... Is... Is... That... We... We're... We're going to have a baby...

Aurora held his hand as he told Jamie they were expecting. She was a little afraid that Jamie would start yelling at him. She smiled as looked at Jamie waiting for her to say something. "We are both really happy about the unexpected news" she tried to say something to break the silence.

Jamie stood silently as she placed everything where it belonged, and as she spoke her voice was slightly cold "Yes I am sure it is a surprise to all, however I would have expected more from Nanoki than this blatant disrespect of..."

Nanoki cut her off with a growl, and rubbed his eyes for a moment. "I know what is coming, and you can just stop right there. You don't know what has happened, nor do you know what hasn't happened. So therefor you can't go starting this, but I had been hoping for a different outcome. I guess you can't be happy for us, so we'll be taking our leave now. I was planning on something else, but it seems I'm not really welcome here right now." he said shaking his head sadly. Carefully he pulled a small box from his pocket which held his mother's original wedding ring, and placed it in Aurora's hand. He kissed her lips gently before murmuring into her ear "I'll expect your answer when you get back from seeing your brothers." Quietly he left the room, and exited the house moving swiftly to get things ready to leave all of this behind.

Aurora eyes closed with a heavy sigh. she held the box in her hand not wanting to open it. She knew what it was but was afraid that he may have done this more to do the proper thing in front of Jamie then wanting to truly marry her. Aurora looked at Jamie a moment "We didn't do this on purpose you know, I love Nanoki so very deeply, and we are both so happy about the baby, to us it doesn't matter if we were married first. " She sighed "He just wants you to be happy for him, he hasn't had much happiness in life, please do not make this into another horrible thing for him"

"Yes I know, but you have to realize that I am from a completely different time and Nanoki is too. If something like this had happened in a time before now, and someone found out there would be hell to pay. He knows better than to go do something this stupid. I know you love him, and I know he loves you. However there are consequences for ones actions, and I will be happy after I get over the shock I think." Jamie replied shaking her head slightly, and continues to put the supplies away.

He knew he should have said more, but he really did not have a chance and he hoped that Aurora would realize how much he loved her. Yet he knew there were more important things for him to be doing than to be fighting with Jamie about how he should have done things. The fact that Aurora would be going to see her brothers still did not sit well with him, but there was nothing he could do about it. So he busied himself with the preparations for leaving, and as Sheila came over to check on him Nanoki told her they could have everything that was left once he left. That shocked the woman more than anything he had ever done before, but she still questioned him about his needing it once he came back. He told her "I may not be coming back, but even if I do I can always get new things. I'll make sure I keep in touch with you two."

"You are talking to the wrong person about coming from a different time. I have come from a further back time then both you and Nanoki put together." She sighed. "Please try to be happy for us it would mean the world to Nanoki." She said softly as she left the room going outside. She looked up to the sky and with a blink of her eyes she was standing in a room with her 3 brothers. " Hello Gentlemen" she said softly.

Jamie shook her head highly doubting that statement, but as she turned to look at the girl she was already gone. Everything was happening so quickly, and it all seemed to be crashing down around her especially when Nanoki would be leaving shortly.

The three of them had been arguing about what was the best thing to do in this situation, Uriel looked over as he heard Aurora's voice. "You have a lot of nerve coming back here." he growled, and turned away from her before he attacked her.

Raphael looked a Gabriel for a moment before shaking his head, but he wondered how much Michael had influenced his brother. Quietly he moved over to hug Aurora gently, and he murmured "Be careful around Uriel..." Quickly he stood straight and smiled lightly at her saying "It is so good to see you home sister. What bring you here at this time?"

Gabriel had the same feeling that Michael had poisoned Uriel's mind with his lies, yet he would stand together with Raphael and Aurora to see if they could end this war once and for all. With a loving smile he moved over to hug their sister as well, but he stayed close in case Uriel decided to make a move then. Gabriel was also wondering what had brought their little sister back to them, and at this particular moment at that.

Aurora was taken back a moment by Uriel's anger, it reminded her so much of Michael. She smiled though as she felt Gabriel's arms around her. SHe quickly hugged him back then Raphael hugged her as well and she knew atleast two of her brothers would help her. "Its good to see you all, I have come to ask for help" She paused a moment "I am sure you are aware that there are some that do not want to end this silly war...well it has gone on for long enough it needs to come to end."

Raphael nodded for a moment at her words, and smiled some "Yes we are well aware that some wish to eradicate all demon kind. It is unfortunate, but they believe that demons are nothing..." He was going to continue explaining a bit of what Uriel had thrown at them, but he was abruptly cut off by Uriel.

"Demons are filthy, and they are good for absolutely nothing. All they know is fighting, and nothing will end until every last one of them are gone. Their constant fighting is what is keeping this war going, and if they would all just lay down and die like they are supposed to this war would have been over long ago. Your precious little pet the wolf demon is the one that really needs to just stop fighting." Uriel snapped as he cut off Raphael, as he grew even angrier.

Gabriel still stayed close to Aurora watching and waiting to see if Uriel would be stupid enough to attack Aurora in their presence, but some how he doubted the man would since he seemed more intent on striking out at Nanoki instead of Aurora for the time being. Gabriel wondered for a moment what things may have been like if Nanoki had been one of them instead, yet he stopped himself because he could not imagine it.

Aurora couldn't hold her tongue, any longer with Uriel. "Demons are good people, they don't want to fight, they want a chance to live in peace, just as some angels wish the same. why does the fighting have to continue? " Aurora shook her head "And Nanoki will never stop fighting to protect what is right."

Uriel scoffed at Aurora's words snapping back with "Oh really? Is that why they fight each other? What does the mutt know is right? He is only a demon, and he could never know what is right." Shaking his head he walked away from the three, because he knew that the time would come when both Aurora and her pet demon would fall.

Gabriel and Raphael both stepped between Aurora and Uriel so nothing happened, because they could only imagine what Nanoki would be able to do to them after they saw what happened to Michael. Neither of them wanted to even think about what would happen to them if something were to happen to Aurora, and they would hate to go up against Nanoki as an enemy if what they had heard was true.

Aurora shook her head she had lost another brother to this madness. She looked to her two remaining brothers." He is a pig headed fool who is going to be wrose than Michael at this rate. And I still don't understand how father can just sit by and watch this all unfold"

Raphael shook his head slowly, and he had no answer for her. No one would be told why things were happening the way they were, yet all anyone knew is that things were getting bad and it was all over a demon. "I do not know why things are turning out this way, but I think it has to do with something greater than anything we have seen before. No one is being told why this is allowed to continue, so all we can do is what we have been doing." he replied with another shake of his head.

Gabriel sighed wondering how far this would all go before a stop was put to it. "I wonder how many more lives must be ended for all this madness to end, and how many of those lives will be our own. I do not know what is going on, but I had hoped the madness would have stopped with Michael. However demons have been our enemies for the longest time, so now I would really like to know what changed all that. Why exactly are we siding with our enemies now after so long, and why are we fighting our own?" he asked more to himself than to either Aurora or Raphael, but it was loud enough for them to hear.
