Angel's and Demons

Aurora playfully kissed the tip of his noise. She adjusted herself while she sat on his lap and while doing so she streched her stomach hurting herself. She gasped a little at the shock of the pain but tried not to let it show, she did not want to ruin the moment between them.

A smile played across his lips as she kissed the tip of his nose, but at her gasp he silently cursed at himself. She had hurt herself and it was his fault for not stopping the progression of events between them, so he wrapped his arms around her just holding her close for a few moments. Nanoki leaned down and kissed the side of her neck gently, yet he knew that would do nothing against the pain however he felt he had to try and do something for her.

Aurora couldn't wait for that damn wound to heal, it hurt now, she knew she had moved the wrong way. Her eyes were watery from the pain but she hid her face from him as not to ruin the moment. Her eyes closed as she felt his lips touch her skin. it felt so wonderful it almost stopped the feeling of the pain.

Carefully Nanoki picked Aurora up, and slowly moved to the bedroom. Once there he gently laid her on the bed, and laid himself beside her. He thought this might be best and it just might be easier for her, but he was still worried about her and he was worried about her hurting herself. It worried him slightly that he had to go back to Japan shortly, yet he was even more worried about her.

Aurora wrapped her arms around him as he moved her to the bed room. as she laid down on the bed it seemed to help she had more ways to move where it didn't hurt. She smiled at him as he laid down beside her. "I love you" she whispered softly as her finger laced with his.

Laying next to her he smiled enjoying the fact that she was there, yet until she healed he would be worried about her. However his smile widened as he heard her whisper, and Nanoki pressed his lips to her forehead gently as he said "I love you too." Absently his thumb stroked the flesh it could reach on her hand, and he relaxed now that they were back in a place that he had control. He knew well enough that they were safe with Jamie, but for some reason he just could not relax while they were there.

Aurora laid beside him. her head turned to look at him for a long moment. She was happy just being back here with him. She liked Jamie but she just wanted to be alone with him. She smiled to herself as thoughts of the future danced in her mind no real threats, it all seemed perfect now.

It had been a long few days, but now it all seemed as though things would calm down for the most part. There were still things to be done, yet the biggest obstical was out of the way. Which meant what ever happened from here on, should be easier to deal with. It also meant that they could be together, and they would see what the future held for them.

Aurora fell a sleep laying beside him. It had been a tiring few days and her body couldn't stay awake longer. As night drifted on and Aurora slept there came movement from the living room.

Silently he laid with his eyes closed, but he only managed to start drifting off before returning to consciousness. Despite everything over the last few days Nanoki could not manage to fall asleep, yet he remained still as not to bother Aurora. However as he was about to finally drift to sleep a faint noise from the front room brought him to full alert, but he remained still as if he were asleep to see who it was in his house. His eye half closed he waited, and he was ready to teach who ever it was a lesson about breaking into this house.

The footsteps grew closer to the bedroom door, and slowly a shadow was cast over the bed. finally a figure poke she head in and looked in the room. she made a said of being defeated as she looked in to that everyone was a sleep. She then backed away into the living room again. She had to wait till they were awake, she took a seat on the couch to wait.

As the footsteps came closer his body tensed ready for movement, but a sight and the sound of retreating footsteps had him confused. However his body did not relax, and he laid quietly listening for any sound he could find. Being a demon afforded him a few extra hightened abilities, but he knew that many people could mask their movements. That made things difficult at times, yet he waited a few moments listening closely. Once he was sure the person was still there, but making no noise Nanoki quietly slipped from the bed. Silently he moved to the door and stood in the shadows, so he would be a little less visible. "Who are you, and why are you in my home at this time of night?" he asked softly trying not to wake Aurora.

She was thinking when she suddenly heard his voice fill her ears. She quickly stood and smiled at Nanoki. "well i guess you are awake. good." the woman said as quietly as she could. "My name is Mary, i mean you both no harm, i have to come help actually. but perhaps we can talk away from there so we do not wake Aurora." The woman was kind in voice she looked older and Aurora in 30's.

His eyebrow quickly piqued as she stood and smiled, but he still was not one to readily give someone his acceptance or his trust. This woman Mary she said her name was, but who ever she was she would have to prove herself. Subconciously he called out to one of his blades which was in his hand in an instant, and until everything was cleared up it would not be too far from his side. Nodding slightly Nanoki moved from the doorway, so that they could try not to wake Aurora. "What do you mean exactly by saying you're here to help?" he asked a bit too sarcastically.

Taking a quick breath he calmed himself slightly and continued with "You could also help by telling how you got in here, and why I should trust you? If I happen to believe what you say, you may earn some of my trust."

Mary put her hands on her lip and stared at him she did not like that he called a blade, that his tone was very sarcastic. She starred at him angry a moment. then out of no where she tossed him a pouch full of herbs. "this should help Aurora heal faster since you will needed it." She then paused a moment. "I'm an Angel. and i have heard talk of an attack on Aurora for what she did to Michael, I came here to warn you."

Plucking the pouch out of the air he looked at it for a moment, before letting the blade returning it return to its resting place. He was slightly confused when she said they would need the herbs, so Aurora could heal faster but it was made clear in short order. "I see, but my question is why would you risk your life to bring this information and herbs to us? Especially since I'm a demon, and I'm the sworn enemy of angels... It doesn't make sense to me but then again a lot of things happening lately don't make sense to me." Nanoki said shaking his head.

Mary bit her lip a moment not entirely sure on how to explain what was going on up there but she would try. "With with out Michael some Angels are able to think for themselves now. with out being poisiend by what Michael wanted us to think. Other on the hand want to contiune the war Michael start but really don't have the power he had. So there hope is to Kill Aurora take both her power, and Michael's power."

As he listened to what Mary had to say, Nanoki had a sinking feeling that despite what they wanted it was not over. From what he was being told it seemed to him, that it would never be over without more fighting. Shaking his head he paced back and forth, trying to think of something that could be done. "It seems Michael was the leader, and it seems he was the strongest correct?" he asked, trying to make sure he had things right. "If that's the case... Then maybe, just maybe..." he said aloud, as he formulated a plan to try and keep Aurora away from more battle. "How soon do you think they'll be attacking, and how many at a time?" he asked as he stopped, and looked at Mary questioningly.

Mary nodded a little. "Michael was the strongest, but still nothing compared to Aurora. As far as how soon and how many i am not certain. Its going to take a great number to defeat Aurora and now that she hold Michael's powers it is going to be even harder. So to that fact it will buy you some time, but also because of that fact there will be a great number when they come." Mary sighed a little. "the best advice i have for you to run from this place." she then reached into her pocket. "here take these it will protect you" She handed him a necklace with some strange symbols on it then a piece of paper with even more.

Letting her words sink in he sighed, and it seemed it would be nearly impossible for him to keep Aurora out of the fighting. Except for one way, but he could not ask that kin or not. His great-grandfather had made a number of allies in the old days, but he wondered how many of the families would remember. Howeve he knew he could not ask them to risk their lives in good concience, yet with Michael gone it may be easier. Mary's estimate on numbers had him worried, but he knew that even with his and Aurora's combined they may not be a le to survive.

"Won't they be able to find us? I mean Michael found me numerous times, and we had special wards pit up so angels wouldn't be able to find out where we were..." he questioned, as he remembered how Michael had found his family all those years ago. Nanoki told himself that once he was finished with Mary he would be making a few calls, and despite not wanting to do so he would call in some favors. That way they could at least try to put up some form of resistance, but he took the items from Mary and looked at them carefully.

"They know your here yes, and I know you have tried to ward off angles before, but this a spell crafted by angels" she smiled softly. "Aurora should be able to hid herself well enough but you are like a tracking radar for the other angels to find Aurora. So where the necklace and then use the piece of paper at your new home to keep them from find you there. the best thing to use to mark the symbols with is a mixture of your blood and her's." Mary bit her lip she wished she had better ideas but it was something for now to buy them some time. "There are other's like me who do not agree with what Michael's followers are doing so I am hoping our force will be greater in the end"

Nodding slightly he sighed, once again it seemed as though he was the cause of everything. "I understand. However since it seems this all started with me I think it'll also have to end with me. Gather what forces you can, and while you're doing that I'll see what I can't do to gather some of my own." he replied thinking it would be best if he were only around Aurora for brief periods of time, and that he was elsewhere the rest of the time. While with her he would have the wards on, but while he was away he would leave them off to provoke and mislead the angels. It all hinged on if he could convince Aurora that he had to be away, at least for a time and the he would come back to see her when he could. "One way or another we have to finish this, because I won't let anything happen to Aurora if I have my way." Nanoki said as he hoped he could convince Aurora that everything would be fine.

Mary smiled and shook her head. "You have met aurora? she is about as stubborn as they come, don't be surprised if she is the one insisting to protect you." She moved closer to Nanoki and she had a serious look on her face. "But no matter what you both have to survive, no matter what you have to be there. Aurora carries inside her now something greater than angels and demons and maybe just maybe it will be the end of the war." Mary wondered if he understood what she meant. She didn't know if it was her place to come right out and say that Aurora was pregnant, but she had to at least stress they both had to come through this ti raise their child.

"Yes I've seen how stubborn she can be, and I know well enough as to how she would insist on protecting me. That's exactly how we wound up in this situation in the first place, but as Michael can attest I'm stubborn and tougher to get rid of than most would think." he replied with a shake of his head. As Mary moved close he was concerned, but her words had his confused for a moment. Nanoki knew they both had to try and survive, but survival in war depended on one's abilities and their skill most of the time. When he was told Aurora carried something greater than either side, and that it may end the war he was even more confused. He was not dense nor was he slow, but right now he was confused and did not understand. "I know we have to try and survive, but it may be harder than we think to actually survive. We face a host of angels unknown in number, and they all plan to attack at once from what you said. Even with reinforcements it's going to be a long bloody fight."

Mary sighed a little she knew he didn't understand. how could he. "You can not try and survive, you have to. You both have to. It not an option here, and if that means you two go into damn hiding until this is over, then guess what you two will damn well go into hiding." Mary seemed angry now but not at him more at the situation. "You have something greater to live for, you and Aurora both do. And i know there are demons out their that will want to protect the three of you. Just like there are angels. So you don't worry about the fight ok let us." She paced back and forth a little drawing a deep breath trying to claim down not knowing that maybe in her upset she let things slip out.
