The River Queen

Basically she's a dedicated.. smuggling/ blockade running ship. 2 decks, 5 rows of oars, full crew of only ~23 people, and most of them are only there to work the oars, because these are the big bastards that you need 2 people to row. Her main mast actually folds down so she's harder to see if needed. I'm not sure if she'd have 1 or 2 masts, probably just one, but maybe there's a way to work 2 in there.

If you've got the wind, she can be crewed by as few as 2 people. Without the wind, 5 would probably do the job. No weapons at all, though she has a slot/turret to mount a single ballista near the prow if need be. That spot could also be replaced by a crane to lift heavy things on to the ship.

Also, due to being a 'stealth' ship, she looks, at least from a distance, like a fishing boat basically.
 
Did the captain want the whole group to be there, to discuss this? I didn't know if the whole group was supposed to weigh in on this and stuff
 
Right on: I am ready to move on to the next scene if you are. The free time afforded to Zahn during the voyage, he will spend trying to fish and catch stuff for the crew to eat.

Here's hoping he doesn't hook a Leviathan or a Kraken!

Yeah i'm ready to move on. Helena probably wants to take a bath if possible. Prestidigitation's useful but no substitute for a long soak.
 
As per the rules, Prestidigitation can only clean objects, not creatures. So, while you can reliably clean yourself with a wet towel or somesuch and clean the towel with prestidigitation, rinse and repeat by using the towel over your whole body, you can't use Prestidigitation to clean your own body. Similarly, you can clean stains and dirt from clothes that are worn, but not the skin beneath and all that.

Though, of course, Prestidigitation might work different in the setting of the Pantsless Pirates.

So, Helena's got a +1 str, but expertise in stealth, and water vehicle prof. So if i were to do it would that make it a +10 to the check?
 
Don't have any expertise in stealth nor proficiency in waterborne vehicle navigation: I'm happy to help Helena!
 
I don't think anyone else can beat a +10. I'd be happy to help, too, but I don't think that provides any more benefit. :)
 
Do we agree on the whole 'Jump on deck and attack the peeps on the enemy ship hard and fast to take over control of the vessel and ram it into the other one'?
 
We might be able to do it stealthily, it's the middle of a storm, visibility is low they're probably running around like headless chickens to keep the ship in place and do their jobs. Those sort of conditions could make it quite hard to notice new people, and we could take advantage of that to get into good positions.

However I doubt we'll be able to clear the whole ship sneakily. Jumping on the deck and hitting hard and fast is likelier to succeed. Could have Helena sneak up first and see if she can take out the captain or someone in command, to slow down coordinated resistance once we do start hitting them. (Idk how Nanbako's stealth is, she could also do that)
 
That is absolutely something you can do.

DC 10 Strength (Athletics) to climb up to the deck-normally I wouldn't call for one, but it's storming. On a 4-, you fall into the ocean, on a 5-9, you fail to make progress, and on a 10+, you're good.
I'd also like a Dexterity (Stealth) check to see how sneakily you manage it.
And finally, a Wisdom (Perception) check to see if you can peg the leader.
 
I want to have Zahn be the last to climb, so that he can grab any teammates who might fall while climbing. Also, I want Zahn to give his teammates a boost up: would that be enough to get advantage on the Athletics climb check?
 
Perfect: Zahn's going to do his best impression of a sneaky snake and climb up after whoever wants to go up there, since he has both stealth and perception on top of Athletics and all that good stuff!

I am going to wait for anyone else to post before I go and do the same, since only Penny posted after my last action.
 
Just for your information: things are supposed to get stormy for a couple days over where I live, so I might need a half-day or a day more to post, since I won't know if my connection is going to be stable for stuff and all that.
