Pantsless Pirates [OOC]

Yippee! Ty :D
Now I just need to communicate it to the rest of the group. good thing I have telepathy.. I'll probably get to it tomorrow, bloody late.

I keep getting reminded that Damnation very beeg.
Righto, gonna sleep hopefully. Hmm.. we'd probably make great friends if we told the captain about this conspiracy

Is working with the sahuagin a taboo for sea-faring kindred? Something aking to cultists working with demons and devils?

Sahuagin are fiendblooded, far moreso than tieflings or similar. While not incapable of redemption, they're generally quite murderous and rapacious.

Given that their ritual implements include a skull, these sahuagin fit the stereotype.

That is an interesting take and one I wholly endorse.

Cambions are half-fiends, who are usually the people expected to be siring tieflings. I think it is a fun way to think about tieflings not only being sired by cambions, but also other half-fiend half-mortal races, like Gnolls, Barghest or Sahuagin in this setting.

Quick reminder for everyone: the task of the group was to confirm for themselves, by sight or hearing, that some if not all the crew of the Damnation were in league with the Sahuagin and conspiring with fiends.

In all regards, we have confirmed it and we have witnessed a confession that expounds on the motive of these actions.

By all accounts, we are one hundred percent successful, unless I missed something about the assignment?

Extra Credit would be to stop it entirely! :p
But confirmation and a good chunk of names is complete success, yes.

The intrusive thoughts that ask me 'what if the group had to fight all the baddies on the Damnation starting now?'... The murderboning leaves traces in every dnd player, I feel

Sorry, out of town on a job and internet and time off is spotty. Kept putting off posting while we were settling in.

No worries: I just wanted to make sure things were still green at this metaphorical crossroads. @Penny we also need to hear from, whereas L1zaT, if I am inferring correctly, does not have further in-character questions at this time.

At this point, I'll preface that Zahn will go along with Joy and vote for not splitting the party. It's easy to infer from his stance on things that he has no further questions at this time and he's ready to head back to base-boat to report their findings, advising the captain for a pow-wow with the opposite captain so this incident can be resolved swiftly. Since the group has obtained the names from the guilty party in the first place.

He is game for tormenting these peeps for more answers that his comrades might have, though: which is why he is being the heavy hand of Joy at the back of Henry and whoever is being interrogated.

Helena basically assumes that Henry was the ringleader of this whole shebang. (i believe we were told as much?)
Anyway, with that in mind she wants the remaining names that Orin might not have told or known about. Beyond that, she wants to report this planned coup d'etwats to the Damnations captain.

Now that you say it though, probably makes more sense to get back to the Highwind and let our captain handle it.

Hah! A good epithet as any for these ones, if the sahuagin are as barbaric as the standard ones in the average dnd setting

So, I don't have an exhaustive list of the crew written up. Considering how many people that would be... Yeah, not doing that.

As such, would there be any objections to moving on to reporting this to Captain Sasha, and/or members of the Damnation?

Joy would also like to know just what they're doing with the rituals, which I guess would boil down to who they're consorting with and for what. If you don't have that information or it doesn't matter, though, feel free to move us on to whatever or wherever or whenever.

Down to report this to captain Sasha and let her figure out what to do with the info. Captains orders are absolute after all.

The ritual sacrifices the people trying to take over are performing are to strengthen their faction and the sahuagin that they have consulted with. Said sahuagin convinced the group that the sacrifices will make their faction strong enough to take over, if they do enough of them.

At least, that is what Orin explained when pressed

Joy's asking about the specific ritual steps and who they're sacrificing to because she's a very religious character and
  1. Might be able to infer new information from those details
  2. Takes these things very seriously for their own sake
Penny the player doesn't care as much as Joy the character. Penny the player is just trying to stay true to Joy's motivations.

I agree that knowing more about this may be helpful: I only felt it was good to poke and ask about what everyone's thoughts were so we did not stay silent indefinitely and the game stalled for longer than what is good for its pacing.

And I wanted to get my continued interest in what is going on and what might happen across

Btw in terms of evidence, there's also the room with all the ritual stuff helena broke into earlier

That's a less pressing issue, as there's no one actively imprisoned there.
But it was told to the officer by one of you. I assume competency from PCs.
