Megohime followed Masamune out, hating how stifling the atmosphere in the room had become, a soft scowl on her face as she left with Masamune.
Yukimura was once again right on Akihime’s heels, a soft frown on his face, and once the two were out of earshot of Matsunaga himself, he spoke up. “He can’t be allowed to speak to you that way!” He protested to Akihime, brows furrowed in frustration.
Matsunaga seemed to be the only one left in a good mood, a soft smirk on his face as he sat alone in the meeting room, finishing off his glass of whiskey before he looked to the attendant at the door. “Find Ren and send him here.”
“Right away.” The man said with a nod before going to find the prostitute.
He wasn’t gone long before returning with Ren, who seemed a little nervous when Matsunaga dismissed the attendant. “Leave us.”
“Yes sir.”
“You wanted to see me?” Matsunaga snuffed out his cigar in the ash tray, standing with a soft grunt before loosening his necktie.
“Yes, come.” He motioned for Ren to come closer, only further making the man nervous. Once Ren was standing in front of him, Matsunaga punched Ren hard in the stomach, a displeased look on his face. Ren wheezed as the air was knocked from his lungs, legs giving out beneath him but Matsunaga caught him by the front of his shirt, forcing him to stay on his feet. Once more he punched Ren hard in the stomach, and Ren had to do his best to not vomit, seeing stars.
“You neglected to tell me some very important information, Ren.” He scolded, finally letting the younger man crumple to the ground, looking down at him with distain. “The names, Ren. You failed to bring me the names of the people involved in the attack on the Colony.”
“I-I didn’t hear them..!” Ren wheezed, holding his throbbing stomach and fighting the urge to vomit, tears of pain in his eyes.
“Save it.” Matsunaga sneered, sitting back down in his chair, watching Ren on the floor with little sympathy. “You have one job; to bring me information by any means necessary, and I don’t care how you get it.”
Ren lowered his gaze, knowing better than to argue with Matsunaga even on a good day. “Yes sir..” He said quietly. “It won’t happen again.”
“I do hope you’ll keep your word, Ren.”
Ren kept his head down, waiting to be dismissed, but he never was, instead hearing the sound of Matsunaga’s belt buckle being undone.
“Come, make better use of your mouth than placating me.” He ordered, and Ren could only obey, crawling forward to sit between his legs on the floor in front of him.
