He smiled softly, "Yeah, I guess..." He mumbled.

After the week had come and gone, the Four Families gathered together for the meeting Mitsunari had called. Akihime pressed Yukimura's jacket smooth with her hands gently, wanting to make sure he looked good as Claudia took them to Bastard.

Yukimura was still adjusting to wearing a suit, getting much better at tying his own tie, but still occasionally needing help. He tried not to think about how close Akihime was, a little flustered, but he didn’t try to stop her from smoothing out his jacket. “I thought Tags weren’t allowed inside the brothels on this side of Ergastulum, are you sure it’s fine I go inside?”

Megohime sat in the back seat with Masamune as they were driven to Bastard by one of Masamune’s other attendants- a normal named Bunshichi, Megohime glad she didn’t have to drive this time. She wore a white blouse with matching black pencil skirt and heels, something she usually only wore when accompanying Masamune on official business.

"As my right hand, you go where I go. You're allowed, and even if they made a fuss, they wouldn't dare tell me no." Akihime was dressed rather professionally; she wore a white button down that seemed to hug her body more than it should have and showed a bit more of her chest than Yukimura felt modest. She wore a black knee length mermaid skirt and stiletto pumps and wore her jacket over her shoulders, "There, all crisp." She smiled warmly before sitting back against the seat.

Masamune wore a dark blue two piece with a black dress shirt underneath, his hair pulled half back to stay out of his face. The drive was quiet and comfortable.

Yukimura gave a nervous chuckle, resting his hands on his lap. “I’ll keep that in mind.” He said with a nod, still not used to being allowed to do things most Tags weren’t.

Megohime perked up when they turned onto the street Bastard was on, always hating that the meetings were held in a brothel- it made her uncomfortable. It wasn’t her place to complain though, just to keep her mouth shut and follow Masamune no matter where he went.

When Claudia pulled up to Bastard, Akihime glanced to see Masamune step out with his Twilight guard, Megohime. Claudia parked and came around to let Akihime out, who moved to the young Date.
"Ohayo, Masamune."
"Ah, Aki. Lookin' good, yer doin' well." Masamune greeted. He looked when he saw Yukimura climb out and ge glanced at Akihime, "Finally caved?"
"Bernardo wouldn't get off my dick if I didn't." She replied before smiling at Megohime, "Hello, Megohime. I really like that blouse, it suits you. Fills you out very well."
"I tend to agree." Masamune smirked.

Yukimura moved to stand behind Akihime, bowing his head to Masamune and Megohime, and despite this being his first time meeting another clan head, he seemed rather calm.
Megohime bowed her head to Akihime, hands clasped together in front of her, doing her best to not let Masamune’s flirting get to her head. “Thank you, Lady Otani, you look well yourself- is your skirt new?”

"Do you like it?" Akihime smiled kindly, giving a twist this way and that to show it off, "I felt a little bold today instead of my usual slacks."
"Gonna introduce us er what?" Masamune asked, nodding to Yukimura. Akihime stopped and cleared her throat.
"Yes, forgive me. Masamune, Megohime, this is Sanada Yukimura, my new right hand."
"Not a guard?" Masamune asked. Akihime made a face.
"That's his main job, yes, but it makes me sound like an invalid. Right hand sounds better, considering his rank."
"Rank?" Masamune stepped closer to Yukimura, "May I?" He gestured to his tags and Akihime nodded to Yukimura gently.

Yukimura had never really been asked to see his tags before by anyone other than clients and buyers, blinking but nodding. “Of course, Lord Date.” He agreed, feeling it unwise to decline such a powerful man. Bernardo had made sure Yukimura was properly educated on all the people who would be attending the meeting, both the heads of the respective big four families and their attendants that accompanied them.
Megohime stood by while Masamune made friendly with Yukimura and Akihime, giving a quick glance around. “Are we the last ones to arrive?” She asked, looking back to Akihime.

Akihime looked away as Masamune looked over Yukimura's tags, "I do believe so. Mitsunari likes to be early, so I imagine he's already here." She replied.
"Damn, an S rank? Not a bad find, Aki." Masamune grinned, letting the tags rest against Yukimura's collar once more. Akihime smiled softly.
"I liked the qualifications more than the rank. Anyway, we shouldn't keep the others waiting." She said.

Yukimura gave a nod in acknowledgement of Akihime’s words, moving ahead of them to open the door. It was mainly for Akihime, but he wasn’t about to close the door in Masamune or Megohime’s face either.
The usual rules of Bastard were that no weapons or Tags were allowed inside, but those rules didn’t apply to family heads going inside on meetings. Many prostitutes, all in varying degrees on undress milled about, chatting with clients or amongst themselves. A few looked to see who was entering, but upon seeing who was coming inside, chose to keep their distance.

"Lady Akihime! Lord Masamune!" The Madame smiled, "You know where to go, I trust?"
"Of course, thank you so much." Akihime smiled, bowing her head gently as she walked down the hall to the basement, Masamune waving politely. When they reached the room where the meeting would be held, Mitsunari and Matsunaga were both already there and waiting. Akihime sat in her seat and crossed her legs gently, Masamune sitting in the chair across from her.

“It is so wonderful for you both to join us.” The oldest man in the room, Matsunaga spoke up, and although his words may have come across as irritated, his tone and pleasant smile showed not a single bit of animosity. “I trust you both managed to find this place ok?” He asked, folding his fingers together in his lap. Megohime said nothing, moving to stand beside Masamune, Yukimura doing the same, taking the place Bernardo used to stand beside Akihime- the old man’s health starting to catch up with him, making it harder and harder for him to get around.

"Of course, thank you kindly, Matsunaga. My driver has always been quite capable in getting me here." Akihime began, "I do apologize for any tardiness, Masamune and I were catching up outside."
"Yes, please forgive our lateness." Masamune said gently.

“Mm, I suppose it can’t be helped, youngsters are bound to be tardy.” He reached into his breast pocket, fishing out a lighter and a pack of cheroots.
“Shall we begin the meeting then? Ishida, I hear that your colony was attacked a week ago.” He said lighting the end of his cigar and puffing on it lightly as he sat back in his chair to get comfortable, his gaze trailing over the three other heads before falling on Mitsunari.

Mitsunari nodded, "Yes, by two characters who have the strength and abilities of Twilights."
"Superhumans?" Akihime asked, looking to Mitsunari. He made a sort of unsure face.
"Perhaps, but I'm unsure." He replied.

“And did you happen to identify these two characters outside of their capabilities?” Matsunaga asked, waving to one of his own attendants silently. The man at the door gave a small nod before leaving quickly, returning shortly with a tray of drinks, setting each persons preferred drink before them on the table. Matsunaga was always one to remember the small details, and someone’s favorite drink was no exception.
Yukimura’s eyes flicked over each person in the room, watching their meeting in silence.

"Yes, they were foolish enough to use their given names. I've done some digging and only found obituaries: Chosokabe Motochika and Nanahime."
"But obviously they aren't dead." Masamune remarked, reaching for his iced cola with coffee.
"Obviously." Mitsunari agreed flatly.
"So then, we only need to know if they're Twilights or not." Akihime said, ignoring her drink for now, glancing at Matsunaga, "You wouldn't happen to know anything, would you, Matsunaga?"

“Mm. I do.” Matsunaga took his drink, a whiskey on the rocks, gently swirling the drink in the crystal cup. “Those were the names of missing children from some fifteen years ago.” He said, looking to Akihime. “I remember when they first went missing, terrible really. Sadly that is all I know at the moment. Why or how they resurfaced is something I’ll have to look into. If they are the same children from back then.” He said, taking his cigar and placing it in the ashtray so he could sip on his drink.

Her eyes were sharp as she watched him, looking over every detail before reaching for her gin and tonic, "Do share if you come across anything."
"Missing kids?" Masamune asked, "The Twilight children, right?"

“I’ll be sure to send my findings to all of you once I’ve completed my own investigations.” Matsunaga said, looking to Masamune. “Twilights and normals.” He corrected. “I know you bleeding hearts have eyes only for your wretched dogs, so it’s easy to overlook normal children that also have gone missing.” He replied sharply. “There was a string of disappearing children for about five years, children between the ages of three and fifteen, both normals and Tags, not a single one was safe. Eventually things seemed to die down with little reason as to why, but none of the missing children were ever recovered- even their remains.” His gaze turned on Akihime. “Surely you have information on the matter, Otani? One can only accuse another if they have something they wish to hide- redirecting attention was something your father was fond of, and I see you’ve picked up on his little habit as well.”

Akihime did not appreciate the remark regarding her late father, eyes burning with a poorly controlled rage despite how calm her expression was.
"That is not why we're here." Mitsunari stated firmly, stopping a fight before it could start.
"Yeah, we just wanted to see if anything regarding those two was known; maybe there are more of them?" Masamune added. Akihime exhaled gently to calm herself.
"I will see if the names are in any of my father's past files, and call everyone together should I find anything."

“Then we have a plan, wonderful.” The edge in his tone was gone, picking up his cigar once more. “I won’t speculate if there are more or not until I’ve gathered more information. No use in making up things in my head that aren’t solidified yet.”
Yukimura watched the exchange between Matsunaga and Akihime, keeping his hands behind his back, fists clenched.
“I am surprised that you’ve brought along a Twilight today, Akihime.” Matsunaga remarked. “Did Bernardo retire so soon? I will miss having his company.”

"Bernardo, sadly, has fallen into poor health. This is my new right hand, and he will have the same respect shown to him as his predecessor did." She answered, "Thank you for your kind words, however."

He puffed on his cigar as his eyes scanned over Yukimura, making Yukimura a bit uncomfortable, but he still bowed his head regardless. “A pleasure to meet you, Boss Hisehide.”
“Mm, I see you’ve at least trained the thing.” He remarked, turning his attention back to his drink.
