“Then he too must’ve gone missing..” He rubbed his chin lightly. “But then why wouldn’t his disappearance be reported to police? Or perhaps his file is incomplete here?” He mused.

"Maybe...my father didn't complete much before his murder." She said, turning to drop Motochika's file on her desk, "No Nanahime, however."

Yukimura made a face, thinking for a moment. “Maybe she had a different name, or was even taken in under no name?” He offered.

Yukimura gave a small nod, not wanting to rely on such a man, but if they had no other choice then they had no other choice.
Two days after they started their investigation and they weren’t much further along. They had gone to the police to request any more records, which had proven Motochika had in fact been arrested for killing the Twilight child, but that he had immediately gone missing while being transferred in police custody. That was all they had, but it confirmed two things: Motochika was a Superhuman, and he too had been abducted.
Yukimura was going about his daily tasks at Akihime’s manor, doing regular patrols while periodically checking in with Akihime in her office, but their peaceful day quickly turned into a chaotic one. Gunshots rang out at the front gate, where a large crowd of people had gathered. Anti-Twilight protestors- all normals had gathered at Akihime’s gate, which was a common occurrence, what wasn’t within the norm was that they had brought guns this time. Never before had they done such a thing as escalate to violence, not in a long time.

Akihime had begun evacuations right away, instructing those with no combat experience to find the escape tunnels in the basement and retreat the manor until they were called home.
"What should we do, Lady Akihime?" Suzette and Claudia were both heavily armed, carrying heavy kevlar vests to protect themselves as best as possible. Akihime sat calmly in her chair, striking a cigarette and taking a long drag before looking to her two aids.
"Let us invite our guests, shall we?"

"Remember, Amaya, let them do the majority of the fighting first, then we go and get Akihime." Sasuke instructed quietly. He and his group of mercs stood in the back of the violent protesters, having been hired to visit the Otani household.

Yukimura had run across the entire manor just to reach Akihime’s office, one Baretta PMX in hand, the other one strapped to his back still. “Akihime!” He was relieved to see her unharmed in her office. “The left wing of the manor has been evacuated as per protocol, what are your orders? Shall I engage them outside?”

Amaya looked over to Sasuke with a somewhat bored expression. “I got it, let them lead the charge, walk right inside.” If it wasn’t for Sasuke already knowing she was a Tag, Amaya could easily pass as a normal, despite her albinism. Some jobs required her to hide her Tag status, but Amaya saw no issue in taking her tags off and hiding them. “Her office is upstairs in the right wing of the house, that window there.” Amaya said, nodding her head toward the window on the far end of the home. “If she’s still inside the house, she’ll probably be there.”

Akihime shook her head, "No. Do not engage unless your life is in danger. They're here for me, let them come."
"L-Lady Akihime, that's very unwise." Claudia frowned. Akihime took another drag before exhaling the smoke.
"They don't scare me, Claudia. I have full faith and confidence in each of you. But I want to avoid your deaths as much as possible, so only do what you can to keep yourselves safe." Akihime replied.

"Oh, she's for sure still in there." Sasuke said, watching the mob slowly pry the front gate open, "She wouldn't leave without a fight."

Yukimura frowned as well, looking worried. “Akihime, I’m going to have to agree with Claudia-dono on this matter, they’re armed with guns.” He said, moving further into the office. “I will do everything I can to protect you and your home, but we are only three people. Please,” He said. “I urge you to send me outside to intercept them.”

“That makes things a lot more simple for us then, huh?” Amaya said, an amused look on her face as the front gate went down. The loud crash of the iron gate hitting the ground was like a starting shot, the group of armed protesters surging forward and rushing for Akihime’s home. “Looks like the doors open.” She said, following behind the group, but not bothering to rush with them.

"Your orders are to wait." Akihime stated firmly. She looked when she heard her big oak doors thump rhythmically before another loud bang signaled the destruction of the doors. Claudia looked to Suzette and nodded to her.
"If we are to wait, get into an ambush position."
"Of course." Suzette said and moved to stand against the wall of the door leading in, Claudia on the otherside of the doorframe.
"Yukimura," Akihime was watching the door, flicking the ash from her smoke into the tray, "take your place at my side, if you please."

Yukimura obeyed without question, but being cornered in an office didn’t feel great, even with each of them heavily armed. Standing beside Akihime, he faced the door to the office, listening to the chaos outside. He could hear people running about, going from room to room and tossing Akihime’s home on its head trying to find her.
The gunfire started before anyone reached the office doors, and things became even more chaotic. Confused yelling and angry screaming came from outside the office in the hallways, and it wasn’t long before things quieted down. No more destruction or rapid footfalls could be heard, only a deafening silence that left a ringing in the ears, then the doorknob to the office turned. A lone woman stood in the open doorway, but she wasn’t armed with one of the large rifles the protesters were seen with, only a single large blade dripping with blood, an exotic looking one- a kukri?
“Yeah, she’s still here, boss.” She said, speaking to someone else out of sight, keeping her eyes glued forward.

Akihime scowled gently at the newcomer, eyes moving when a new face appeared.
"Good afternoon, Lady Otani." Sasuke greeted. Akihime didn't seem as happy to see him as he did to see her.
"Sasuke. I should have known." She said before nodding to Amaya, "Who's this?"
"This is Amaya, she's my new favorite, you understand." Sasuke smiled. Akihime flicked the ash, her scowl firm on her face.
"My heart is breaking in my chest." She muttered, "Why are you in my home?"
"We were hired to talk."
"Why are there bodies in my foyer?"
"Ah. Well, we had to get in somehow." Sasuke grinned.

Amaya stood aside as Sasuke spoke with Akihime, her eyes moving over to Yukimura- who held his Baretta level with the intruders in the room, then to Claudia and Suzette. The rest of Sasuke’s outfit remained outside the room, making sure the scene stayed secure for Sasuke while he made negotiations with Akihime.

"You need to stop being so nice to Twilights, Lady Otani." Sasuke said, "It's making some concerned normals real nervous."
"Those concerned normals are more than welcome to submit their complaints through Yukimura here." Akihime said, gesturing to the young man beside her, "He would be happy to take whatever concerns they have."
"Ah, I think they'd be happier taking them to you personally. Considering how many I had to clean up for you." Sasuke said. Akihime snuffed her cigarette and got comfortable in her chair.
"You can tell Matsunaga that I will not pull my support, and if he wants me to stop, he'll have to kill me with his own hands and not someone else's."
"I never said who hired us, my Lady." Sasuke smiled.
"You didn't need to."

Yukimura glanced down at Akihime briefly before turning his gaze back to Sasuke, his gun trained on him. There was no telling how many casualties there were on Akihime’s side, not until they stepped out of the room and checked.
“Surely there was a better way of getting into contact with us than this?” He asked, tone sharp.

"You don't know how the Families work, do you?" Sasuke asked. Suzette was no longer content standing and listening to this lowlife speak to Akihime. She moved with purpose, pulling her rifle forward to take aim at Sasuke, only to have him point his gun at her.
"That's not very polite." He said firmly. Akihime became tense.
"Don't you dare, Sasuke." She hissed. Sasuke looked to her with raised eyebrows.
"Don't dare I?" He asked, "Alright..." he dropped his gun and holstered it, "Amaya, take care of her please."
"No!!" Akihime shot out of her chair, eyes wide.

Yukimura turned his gun to where Amaya had been standing, but found she wasn’t there anymore, already across the room and on Suzette like an obedient hunting dog. She used her kukri to first remove Suzette’s hands at the wrists to keep her from shooting, then cutting deep into her neck and shoulder where the Kevlar vest didn’t cover.
“No!” Yukimura watched in horror as Amaya killed Suzette with two blows, turning his gun back on her and raising it. He shot at Amaya, who barely managed to dodge the bullets, moving behind Suzette and holding her up by the back of her vest as a shield, which stopped Yukimura from shooting again.
“If you wanna keep your other man over there alive, it’d really be in your best interest to order her to drop her gun.” Amaya said lowly, nodding to Claudia, eyes glued on Akihime as she hid behind Suzette as she bled out.

"S...Suzette..." Claudia looked horrified, seeing her best friend murdered before her very eyes. Akihime stood frozen in horror, eyes wide as she fought tears.
"Claudia..." she struggled to keep her voice level, "move away from them, please...lower your weapon..."
"B...But, my Lady..." Claudia looked to Akihime in shock but when she saw how distraught her master was, she obeyed. She took careful steps back, making her way to Akihime and keeping her gun pointed down.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this, Lady O-"
"Yukimura." Akihime's expression twisted into such a dark look of anger that it actually scared Sasuke a bit, "Get this garbage out of my house."

Yukimura’s expression hardened as he gave a nod, hopping easily over the desk and moving toward Sasuke. Amaya scowled and dropped Suzette’s body, moving quickly to intercept Yukimura before he reached Sasuke. Yukimura raised his gun, but Amaya used her blade to bat the gun away, Yukimura using the momentum to lock her blade and yank it toward him, kicking Amaya hard in the stomach and sending her flying back into one of Akihime’s bookshelves. The shelving broke and books fell onto Amaya, but Yukimura didn’t turn his attention away just yet. He was on Amaya in a second, just as fast as she had been when killing Suzette. He slammed his foot into her shoulder pinning her to the wall and pressing the muzzle of his gun into the side of her head, looking to Sasuke. “Call for a retreat now, or you’ll be leaving with one less man.” He said lowly, Amaya not moving a muscle as she looked to Sasuke quietly.

“Lady Akihime.” A familiar voice called from the doorway, Bernardo standing with two of Sasuke’s men behind him. He was bleeding from a wound on his forehead, looking rather roughed up but still alive.
“A few of the protesters had this geezer out back, figured he belonged to the missus, boss.” They shifted uneasily at the scene before them, their guns in hand as they looked from Yukimura, then to Akihime, and finally to Sasuke. “Sorry to interrupt.”
Yukimura kept his gun trained on Amaya, but glanced to Akihime nervously; should he keep his hostage or release her for Bernardo?

Akihime's expression shifted nervously for a brief moment, "Get out.." She repeated, voice wavering. Sasuke looked to her before looking to Bernardo.
"Last chance, Lady Otani." Sasuke said, not budging. Akihime clenched her fists tightly.
"I won't pull my support." She said. Sasuke exhaled and rose his hand, signaling them to kill Bernardo.

Bernardo looked to Akihime, knowing what his fate was to be, giving her a warm smile as he opened his mouth to speak. He never got the chance, one of the men putting his pistol to the old man’s head and pulling the trigger without hesitating. Bernardo crumpled to the group, blood spilling from the wound in his head, a scene reminiscent of Yoshitsugu’s murder.
Yukimura flinched slightly, but pressed his gun more firmly into Amaya’s head, keeping his eyes on Sasuke.

"F..." Akihime watched Yoshitsugu crumple to the floor, blinking tears and seeing it was actually Bernardo. Her ears began to ring so loudly she didn't hear Claudia's anguish scream over the loss of such a long time friend.
"You had every opportunity to agree, this could have been avoided." Sasuke said. Akihime placed her hands on her desk before flipping the heavy oak out of the way and to the side, moving so fast on Sasuke that neither he or his men had time to react. She punched him hard in the gut, nearly causing him to vomit before she punched him so hard thst she felt teeth come loose and his jaw fracture under her knuckles. From the impact alone, his nose busted and began to bleed and she swung again and caught him hard in the eye, sending him into the wood floor and breaking it. She picked him up and punched him again and again, eyes wide and wild with anger and grief, not hearing anything but the ringing.

Amaya only sat and watched briefly before acting. She kicked hard at Yukimura’s ankles, sweeping his legs out from underneath him, moving her head to the side as he pulled the trigger. The bullet dug into the wall beside her head, the hearing in her left ear instantly becoming muffled as the gun was fired right beside her head. She was up and hurdling over Yukimura in an instant, heading right for Akihime. “Don’t shoot her!” Amaya barked at the men at the door, who had raised their guns to take aim at Akihime, instead going for an unarmed takedown. She tackled Akihime off of Sasuke, the two tumbling to the ground as Amaya pinned her to the ground, sitting on her back to keep her down. She pulled Akihime’s arm behind her back, making sure not to dislocate her arm or break it. “You still breathing, boss?” She asked, but she wasn’t on Akihime for very long before several pops sounded in the room. Amaya grunted as the force of being shot nearly knocked her off Akihime, but she felt no pain. From where she felt the impacts she could tell she hadn’t been shot in any vitals, but her thoughts were cut off as Yukimura’s gun slammed into the back of her head. She hadn’t expected Yukimura to make a move with her holding Akihime as a hostage, but the Tag had moved quickly across the room to protect his master. He slammed the gun into her head again, this time knocking Amaya off of Akihime, but he was finished yet. He kicked her hard in the gut, knocking her further away from Akihime, Amaya trying to regain her footing but Yukimura didn’t let up. He smashed his gun into her face, knocking her back to the ground once more before sitting on top of her, bringing the gun down on her head again and again.
