Apologize to a ghoul? That sounded silly, but maybe stranger things had happened, maybe if things were just explained to him, he would understand.
He wouldn’t get the chance to try though, for when he arrived at the address, all he found was an internet cafe. It wasn’t a home or apartment at all, had she been living there?
Maybe he could scrounge up an email address, or a phone number- try some of her study spots? Maybe it was better this way, letting her disappear from the ward entirely- or maybe he could turn her in?
She would be safer at the CCG, at least there she wouldn't be at risk of being hunted again. He pulled out his phone and did some digging as he headed to one of her usual spots.
Motochika was scrolling through his phone contacts when her name caught his attention. Her name and phone number were right there, the whole time they were there- had she put her number in, or had he?
He didn't remember if he had or not, but he decided to give it a try. Worst case, she blocked his number or it was disconnected.
"Can we talk? Just talk?"
The message sent and went through, reading delivered showing that she hadn’t blocked him yet. Several minutes went by before he received a response. “What’s there to talk about, you already know.”
Oh, shit, that's right. The quinque he stole, no wonder she was so scared.
"You probably won't believe me, but I stole it from a dead Dove I found...I don't work for the CCG...never have, probably never will.."
“There isn’t anything to talk about.” Nana was terrified, sending her responses quickly. She had left the cyber cafe she had been staying at, moving her location to a different one across town in the meantime, wearing sunglasses and a hoodie to keep herself covered.
