SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

"You know me. Ja." He replied and hung up his phone befire slinking away.

It was deathly quiet, aside from the cicadas that screamed outside. It had been a rather uneventful day for Ren and he was glad for the rest. Bedtime was probably his favorite part of the day. There wasn't a sound anywhere in the apartment, and when Ren turned to head back to his room, he was greeted by a familiar pair of glowing eyes in front of him.

Ren jumped almost a clear foot off the ground, and if he wasn’t awake before, he certainly was now. “Fuck!” Fear was quickly replaced with anger and irritation as he recognized the person standing in his kitchen as Sasuke. “What the hell are you doing in my house- and how did you even get in here?” He asked, setting down his half finished cup of water, walking over to him.

Ren’s brows furrowed in confusion and unease when Sasuke didn’t say anything, making him uncomfortable. “Just go home, I’m not doing anything else tonight except going back to sleep- you need something that bad, come back tomorrow morning.” He said firmly, taking another step closer to shoo him toward the front door.

That was when Ren felt something sharp pierce into his gut. Not quickly either. It was slow, meticulous. Purposeful. Sasuke inched closer, the small quinque dagger digging deeper into Ren's skin, so much so that he could feel the base of the handle and where Sasuke gripped it.

The blade slid easily into Ren’s stomach, not giving Sasuke any resistance at all- like stabbing a human. Ren looked confused at first, blinking before looking down at the blade Sasuke had buried to the handle in his stomach before looking back up at Sasuke. “Shit.” Was all that came out of him as he stumbled away from Sasuke, the blade being pulled from his gut as he did so.
The pain was immediate and immense, hurting so deeply that it hurt to breathe, but even so Ren’s fight or flight kicked in, both his Kagune and kakugan activating as blood splattered on the ground at his feet.

Sasuke just moved after him before reaching out lightning fast and grabbing him by the throat, pulling him closer and driving the dagger into him once more, just below the first wound.

The second blow was like getting punched hard in the gut, blood bubbling up Ren’s throat and causing him to choke. Fear flashed in his eyes, and he tried to shove Sasuke away, his Kagune swinging hard for Sasuke’s head. “What are you fucking doing..?!” Ren barely managed to choke out.

He had to let go of his throat to block the kagune with his forearm, still not saying a single word. His ukaku burst out in shimmering mockery of raven feathers before shards pierced along Ren's bikaku.

Ren clenched his teeth as his bikaku was impaled, limiting its movements- still, he swung his Kagune as hard as he could, trying to bat Sasuke aside as he broke away once again. Ren fell back against the floor, blood spilling from his lips as it forced its way up his throat and into his mouth, scrambling to try and flee from Sasuke once more. Had he gone insane, attacking him like that, not saying a single word as he attacked him brutally. He had to run, he had no other option- he wasn’t a fighter, not in the least, and not when his opponent was Sasuke.

Sasuke’s foot connected with Ren's bikaku, pinning him in place before moving over him, holding him down by his throat as he drove the quinque into Ren over and over again.

Ren was too panicked to think rationally, to try and release his Kagune and try to break free again. All he could feel was the blade entering his abdomen again and again. He tried to defend himself, tried to shield himself with his arms, but it didn’t do much other than get his arms cut up. He couldn’t stop the blood that kept forcing its way out of his mouth, coughing and choking on it as he struggle to breathe. He was covered in blood now, shirt cut up and stained a dark red, his mouth and neck covered in the blood he kept vomiting up; Sasuke becoming more and more splattered with Ren’s blood. “Sasuke, stop!” His voice came out garbled, his fighting becoming weaker the more blood he lost.

Sasuke’s hand froze mid downswing, the red fading back to blue. The emote changed to something akin to regret before he stood up from over Ren and left quickly.

Ren lay wheezing on the floor where Sasuke had left him, hearing the front door open and close, only the sound of the cicadas with him now. He was too weak to keep his Kagune active any longer, it crumbling apart beside him as he gasped for air, vision steadily growing blurry. He tried to roll onto his side to push himself up, but only ended up collapsing to the floor again, watching the dark red blood slowly pooling beneath him on the kitchen floor. It felt like his intestines were on fire, his limbs cold with numbness and head being overtaken by deafening ringing in his ears as he lost consciousness.

Mitsunari had gotten Akihime checked into the hospital and called Yoshitsugu to inform him that she had been found and was safe. The old man was beyond relieved, thanking Mitsunari for bringing his daughter back alive. The praise was hollow but it was praise, and Mitsunari ate it up. After ending the call, he decided that he would be selfish, heading off to visit Ren. It was late, but the younger mam never minded if it was Mitsunari.

When Mitsunari arrived, the apartment was dark, like the young man either was already asleep, or simply wasn’t home. Still, approaching the door made Mitsunari’s gut churn uneasily despite things looking seemingly normal- something felt wrong. The front door to Ren’s apartment was closed, but outside was a single smear of blood- a partial bloody foot print leading away from the otherwise seemingly peaceful apartment.

Mitsunari could smell the blood as he made his way to the door, his nerves firing in anxiety. He tried the knob and it was unlocked, which made him even more anxious. He pushed the door open and was immediately smacked in the face with the stench of rot and iron. Ghouls never smelled good once they started bleeding.
"Ren...?" He called out, "Ren...!"

There was no response from Ren, or anyone for that matter, but it was very clear now something horrible had happened. The foul smell only worsened the closer he got to the kitchen, and he soon saw why. Blood was splattered across the room, the only real thing out of place in the otherwise normal looking apartment. Large amounts of blood were already drying on the floor, the biggest one having drag marks that led around the corner and into the hallway, where he saw an unmoving body halfway down the hall. It was Ren, covered in his own blood and unconscious from his injuries. Had he dragged himself there or had someone been trying to move him?

His whole body grew cold and he moved over quickly, "Ren? Ren!! Wake up!!" He rolled Ren over carefully to assess the wound, bile pooling in his throat at the extent of the injury.

Ren was almost cold to the touch, skin clammy and pale from blood loss- and for a brief moment it seemed as though he was dead, Ren gagging on his own blood again showing he was at least still alive, but just barely. His stomach was a mess of violent stab wounds, all of them deep and in vital areas, but it wouldn’t be fatal for a ghoul if addressed soon.
Judging from Ren’s state, and the state of the blood drying all over the kitchen, it was clear the attack had only happened about an hour ago, meaning that whoever had attacked Ren was long gone.

Ren was completely out cold, only the shallow rise and fall of his chest showing he was still there. It wouldn’t take very much suppressant to be affective, as not only was Ren thin, he had lost a lot of blood.

Ren’s body felt painfully heavy and cold, but that wasn’t the pain that stirred him awake. Again and again he would feel a deep burning pain shoot through his massacred gut. Peeling his eyes open he found himself laid out on his back, someone looming over him. It took a while of staring at the person leaned over him before he recognized Mitsunari- his face was set with concentration as he pulled the needle in his hand through Ren’s skin once again. Unfocused eyes watched him, too tired to even react to the pain of being sewn shut. “Y’know… this isn’t really how I pictured you’d be inside me tonight..” Ren croaked.
