SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Megohime could feel the irritation radiating off of Sasuke; and the fact that his electronic mask currently had an angry emote on it helped some too. She crossed her arms and turned back toward Akihime. “That can work for now, but we need to get our stories straight before hand,” She cleared her throat. “There are a few things I don’t really want getting out either.” Did that mean that Megohime wouldn’t rat Akihime out about Yukimura?

Megohime nodded. “We should head there as soon as possible then- we still don’t know if anyone’s noticed yet or not.”
“It’s probably best we part ways here then, I’m sorry. I wish I could take you both to the hospital myself, but it’s probably better if I just follow behind.” Yukimura said.

"Ah...!" Akihime moved over to him, "You've done enough...and you still have all those suppressants to work out of your system...! We'll be ok from here..." She took his hand gently and smiled, blushing faintly, "Thank you for everything tonight...I just wish I could do more to show my thanks.." The emote on Sasuke’s mask changed to one of annoyance, arms crossing tight over his chest as he turned his head away.

Megohime looked away out of courtesy, feeling like she was suddenly intruding on something.
Yukimura’s face flushed when Akihime took his hand, glancing down at their hands. “Please, you do not have to thank me Akihime, and I won’t in good conscience let you travel unguarded!”

She shook her head, "No, don't worry about us. Tsukiyama will leave us be for now, and I'm sure Masamune will have eyes on Megohime for the next 48 hours anyway...we'll make it safe...you get some rest..." She rubbed his knuckles affectionately with her thumbs, "Words can't express my appreciation and gratitude to you..."
"Christ..." Sasuke muttered bitterly.

Yukimura’s face flushed even darker when Akihime started to rub his knuckles, and it almost felt like he was dizzy. “Pl-Please, there’s no need for such things, I would have done so regardless!” He sputtered out.
Megohime hated that Akihime now knew of Masamune and his relationship with her; the idea that someone knew something that could get her executed making her anxious.

"Still...thank you so much..." She said gently before she moved to kiss his cheek gently, "I'll message you when the coast is clear, I promise..."
Sasuke turned his head toward Megohime, hearing her pounding heart, the glowing eyes of his mask squinting in a gentle scowl.

Yukimura looked cooked, steam practically rising off his head as Akihime kissed him. “O-Of course!” He nodded quickly.
Megohime felt his gaze on her and glanced at him, seeing he was now watching her with an angry little emote on his mask. She made a face, getting even more uncomfortable, turning her head away again to avoid looking at him.

"Sasuke, can you make sure he gets home ok?"
"What kind of friend would I be if I didn't." Sasuke replied, moving to Yukimura's side. Akihime smiled and squeezed Yukimura's hands before letting go and moving to Megohime, "Let's get going.."

Megohime gave a nod, glad to be heading home, but dreading dealing with explaining what had happened.
The walk back was uneventful, the two of them only occasionally getting weird looks from passerby’s, but otherwise nothing stopped them along the way.

Akihime didn't seem to mind the staring, it was normal for a Dove to be covered in knicks and bruises, she figured.
"I won't say anything...about you and Masamune..." She spoke quietly after a long time, "Your love life is none of my business...I just hope you'll offer the same courtesy for me and mine..."

Megohime blushed and coughed at Akihime’s words, fighting to not to look as embarrassed as she felt. “Agreed.” She gave a short nod; of course she would keep her mouth shut, if she opened it it would only come back to bite her in the ass. “Just pretend like you never heard anything to begin with.” She said with a soft sigh, brows knit lightly.

Akihime nodded, knowing full well if she caused anything to happen to Megohime - indirectly or not - Masamune would come knocking. And she would like to avoid that.
When they grew closer to her apartment, she was horrified to see all the police tape. The area was crawling with investigators and police, and her heart sank into her stomach. This just got a whole lot harder. She looked herself over before looking to Megohime and panicked even more; what a mismatched pair they were - her in a set of Amaya's old lolita style shirts and shorts and Megohime in a yukata.

Megohime knew this wasn’t going to be easy, but didn’t think it woils actually be so hard right from the start. She was painfully aware of how they both looked, but at least they weren’t in the revealing dresses that they had been placed in before. “Well, this was expected.” She said softly. “Just stick to the story we talked about, and don’t give away any extra details.”

Akihime nodded and moved closer to the scene with Megohime. Kojurou was on the ground floor with a couple junior investigators, documenting things that they had found, when he saw the movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and his eyes widened, Akihime putting on her best exhausted expression.
"Otani-sousakan! Megohime!" He moved over quickly, "Someone get Ishida!"
"Hai!"
"Ah, of course Mitsu-nii is here somewhere..." Akihime muttered nervously.

“He’s your brother isn’t he?” Megohime asked quietly, keeping her eyes on Kojurou as he rushed over.
“Sorry about the scare, Kojurou..” Megohime said, giving a soft laugh.

Akihime nodded briefly as Kojurou made his way toward them.
"What happened?! When Ishida didn't hear from Otani, we came looking!" Kojurou asked. Akihime gave a sheepish smile.
"I was reckless during a patrol, let the wrong ghoul go free...he came back to try and get rid of me." She replied, "I'm sorry we worried everyone.."
"Akihime!" Mitsunari was rushing down the stairs as soon as he heard she and Megohime were on scene, and when he reached her, he grabbed hold of her to look her over, causing her to wince.
"Where have you been...?! Do you know how worried Gyobu was...?!" He demanded. Her chest ached and her disappointment showed in her eyes, of course he wasn't worried about her as his sister. Only worried about what their father thought.
"I was abducted, Tamura-sousakan as well...we barely managed to get out with our lives..." She replied.

Megohime bowed her head a bit, both to Kojurou and Mitsunari. “I’m sorry, I should have called for help when I first felt something was off, but I entered Otani-sosakan’s home when I got no answer and was ambushed inside.” Megohime noticed the disappointment on Akihime’s face, and the panic and anger on Mitsunari’s, but said nothing about it, knowing it was more than likely a family affair.

"Are you badly hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Kojurou asked. The difference between him and Mitsunari was stark, Kojurou only showing concern where Mitsunari showed anger.
"My chest and head hurt from the attack. Perhaps the hospital is best." Akihime replied. Mitsunari let her go right away, now keenly aware of the bandages on her body.
"Good work doing a field patch.." He said, tone back to its usual monotony, "Let's go."
"Hai..." She replied and followed her brother closely. Kojurou looked Megohime over carefully, she was not like lucky enough to get the chance to dress her wounds.
"Are you doing alright, Megohime...? Did you see the ghoul who attacked you both?"

Megohime shook her head. “I’m fine, none of my injuries are too serious.” She reassured him, briefly watching Akihime and Mitsunari leave. “And no, he had his mask on the entire time, so I never really got a good look at him.” Though she didn’t have her wounds tended to, she was clean like she had bathed.

Kojurou thought it was a little odd, maybe she was wounded in the struggle and they cleaned her after they transported her. And Akihime found her in time. He didn't question it, only helped her to the car so he could take her to the hospital.
Sasuke watched from a good distance away, the eyes of his mask flicking with his eye movements, before he pulled out his phone.
"They're safe, dana. You can rest a bit easier now." He said.

Yukimura had stayed up just to wait for Sasuke’s phone call, no longer having the strength to tail someone, having Sasuke follow them instead. “Thank you, Sasuke.” He sounded exhausted, like he was ready to pass out at any moment. “We can leave the rest to the investigators, you can come home.”

He heard Yukimura make a low noise on the other end of the phone. “Alright, be careful.” He said, concerned to leave his friend by himself.

It was getting late, almost midnight now, and Ren had been sleeping rather soundly until he was woken by his body telling him he was thirsty. Groggily rolling out of bed, he made his way to the kitchen half asleep, not bothering to turn on any lights as he easily made his way through his small apartment to the sink to fill up a glass of water.
