SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Akihime gave a soundless nod of agreement as she followed Megohime, wishing she had some kind of weapon. She didn't even have the phone Yukimura trusted her with anymore. She spotted some stairs in thr far corner and gestured to them, signaling that they should try that way. They looked like they went down, maybe they went toward the foyer.

With the windows in the room being fake, and finding no windows along the hallway, it was hard to tell what floor they were on, or even what time it was. Megohime nodded to acknowledge Akihime, moving quickly to the stairs and moving down them to the next floor. At the base of the stairs was a set of double doors that were closed, but with any luck it would lead to the front door, and with amazing luck, no one would be on the other side of those doors.
Unfortunately the two of them had neither such luck, and when Megohime opened the doors the two of them were blinded by a bright light that was shone on the both of them, the sound of what seemed like party chatter greeting them as well.

Akihime winced at the harshness of light before her eyes adjusted enough to see. The room was full of people, all dressed in fine clothing and the like. She had grabbed Megohime firmly to keep her from going further when they were met with such sudden brightness, and her grip only seemed to tighten at all the eyes on them.

The smell hit Akihime and Megohime at the same time; the stench of blood. Megohime’s anxiety spiked at the smell, knowing it was the smell of ghouls. She instinctively put her arm out as if to shield Akihime as she took a step back, but their exit was blocked now. Two large masked men in black suits stood behind them- presumably ghouls too -keeping them from retreating from the room. “Shit!”

"Ah, it would seem our guests have made their own way to the party." Shuu said, smiling behind his mask. Masamune had to struggle not to move; what the fuck was Megohime doing here?

Megohime couldn’t make out a single ghoul in front of her, the combination of the light and the masks keeping each one obscured. Akihime was shoved forward by the large men behind her, Megohime following suit as the two of them were forced further into the room.
All eyes were on them, each ghoul watching silently or whispering amongst themselves. For what reason were they there, were they the entertainment or the food?

"I know we all wanted dinner before the show, but I suppose our entertainment couldn't wait~" Shuu said before snapping his fingers. The ghouls behind Akihime and Megohime grabbed them roughly, causing the two to struggle. Masamune took a step forward, his half reptile skull mask far more menacing with his kakugan activated, and Shuu noticed immediately.
"Something wrong, Dokuganryuu?" He asked. Masamune bit back a snarl.
"Just itching to fight them myself." He forced through his teeth.

"Dana," Sasuke was still out of sorts, but he never wanted to disappoint Yukimura if given a task, "I found her."

Megohime stumbled as she was yanked away from Akihime, feeling the grip she had on her arm be pried away. Deep panic set in as she was separated from Akihime- they were going to die. No one knew where they were, and she had no idea how long they had been missing. Kojurou was probably still at the office she had left him at, and Mitsunari was still waiting for those files.
Her head whipped around when she heard a familiar voice, one she didn’t expect to hear. She said nothing, but the fear on her face was clear.

Yukimura had been in a panic for hours since he had received the alert that Akihime’s phone had shut off. Each phone given to the members of the group had a safety feature that would alert Yukimura if they were destroyed or turned off- a sign that something had gone wrong.
As soon as he got the alert he went looking for her, but when he couldn’t find her, he turned to Sasuke for help. “Is she safe?” He seemed like he had been holding his breath, his stress clear on his face.

"Always the most eager to gorge~" Shuu remarked before turning to his guests, "Everyone! If you would all be so kind as to make your way to your seats! The show is about to begin!"
"No!! No!! Megohime!! What's happening?! What do I do?!" Akihime screamed, voice shrill with panic.

Sasuke’s expression to the question was not the one Yukimura wanted.
"It would seem..." he tried to pick his words carefully, but there was no real way around it, "that The Gourmet has shown interest...and has taken action for said interest."

Megohime had the same amount of experience as Akihime, and didn’t know what to do herself. “Fucking fight!” She didn’t know what else to do, what else to say.
The ghoul holding her by the arm then easily lifted her from the ground, throwing her hard across the floor before tossing a small blade after her- a quinque blade no longer than her forearm. Megohime didn’t know whether to laugh or cry that they had given her a blade that could actually harm her opponent, as if they would let her live even if she did defeat her opponent.
Akihime took a solid hit to the side of her face, the ghoul holding her backhanding her hard to the floor before dropping a similar quinque blade before her.

Sasuke could see the horror dawn of Yukimura’s face, could almost see the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. “What do you mean? Are you saying that he took her?”

Akihime scrambled for the blade and immediately moved to drive it through the ghoul's chest, only to be slammed hard into the ground by the ghoul's bikaku.
"Wrong opponent, mon cherie~" Shuu smirked. The panic and confusion was clear on her face before her eyes moved to Megohime.

"Her apartment was trashed," Sasuke said carefully, "there wasn't any sign of forced entry, but there was definitely a struggle..." the more Sasuke spoke, the more Yukimura's ears rang.

Megohime felt cold fear grip her heart- was she meant to fight Akihime? She looked from Shuu to Akihime as she pushed herself back to her feet, blade in hand. “And what makes you think we’re gonna play your little game?” Not moments after those words left her lips did Megohime feel a sharp pang at her neck, blood spilling from the cut flesh of her throat. She stumbled away from the ghoul that had cut her, hand pressed over the wound, but found relief in how shallow the wound was.

“Where did he take her? Is she hurt?” Yukimura had that look in his eyes again, the one that said: “I’m about to go barreling off without thinking first.”

Masamune jerked forward, veins appearing under his eyes, but he forced it down as he sat back in his seat.
"If you don't, I'll kill your friend and we'll eat her first while you watch." Shuu replied.

"I don't know if she's hurt, I didn't see or smell any blood." He replied. Not hers anyway, he thought. "But, dana, you can't just go running off head long, she's a dove, she can take care of herself. I can keep looking, but my guess is Tsukiyama took her to his little dinner theater, like he usually does when he takes an interest." That look in Yukimura's eyes made him nervous, and he didn't want him to go jumping without looking first.

Megohime gripped her blade tightly, swallowing hard before looking to Akihime. Even if she killed her coworker, she would only meet a worse fate. Still she rushed Akihime with her blade, if only to get closer to her, having no real intent to harm. “Was Ishida supposed to meet you at your home?” She asked, trying to keep her voice hushed as to not alert others to their conversation. She was scrambling to find some sort of lifeline, to find some way out of this situation.

Yukimura barely waited for Sasuke to finish before turning to leave, only stopping to retrieve his revolver and RC suppressant bullets. It was like he had completely missed Sasuke’s warning.

Akihime blocked and tried to keep her composure, "No, I was supposed to meet him," she replied, "but he might just write my absence off as me taking on more work. He's most likely going to wait until tomorrow." Dammit. If Mitsunari wasn't going to show much concern for his own partner, then what else did they have? Masamune?

"Wh- dana, wait! You're going straight into a den full of ghouls, some of which could beat you easily! Let's plan this a little better!" Sasuke yelled as he moved after him.

Megohime pressed down on Akihime’s blade before taking a swipe at her, making sure to keep the swing shallow. “I don’t know how long it will take Katakura to realize I’m gone, but he’d end up chasing the wrong lead.” Once Kojurou realized Megohime was missing, he’d only have one person on his mind, and it would lead him away from where she really was. At best what remained of their corpses would be found weeks later- they were doomed.
Trying to appease to Masamune was not something she would lower herself to do, and even if she did, she doubted he would even save her let alone Akihime too.

“I’m not planning on staying long, I only have to get Akihime out, there’s no need for a fight.” Yukimura didn’t stop or even slow, his mind made up.

Masamune was bouncing his leg, eyes unblinking as he watched. Just ask, just ask, just ask and I'll get you out of there, he thought.
Akihime moved out of the way and made a few quick jabs at Megohime, doing her best not to connect.
"I'm sorry I got you swept into this, Megohime. If we can get the jump, we can deal with the two down here and bolt?" Akihime offered. That wouldn't get them very far, they would be grabbed the moment they reached the door.

"Why are you going through the trouble for some dove?!" He snapped, and for a split second his voice shook with his own grief, "What is she to you than just a free walk through the CCG's park?!"

Megohime wanted to scream; she only had one desperate option left, and even that didn’t guarantee Akihime’s safety. No, she refused that option, Masamune would only save her, and leave Akihime to die, and she couldn’t lower herself like that. “We aren’t close enough to the doors-” Megohime deflected the blows with her blade. “We need to be closer.” It was a suicide run, and even if she had been fully armed, she doubted she’d have a better chance.

Yukimura stopped at that, turning to look at Sasuke, and for a brief moment a certain kind of anger flickered through his eyes. “She’s family, that’s why.” Now Sasuke couldn’t quite tell if he was still talking about Akihime or not, but regardless, he turned and left after that.

"Guide me." Akihime told her, "Take advantage, lead me where we need to go. We'll get out of this together." She was keeping on the defensive regardless, despite being taller and having a more muscular build, Akihime didn't want to risk Megohime more than she already had.

Megohime didn’t like the idea of pushing things any further, but it was their only plan. She gave a small nod, pushing Akihime back by speeding up her attacks, slowly starting their way toward the doors on the other end of the room. It took all of her focus to not cut Akihime while attacking her, hoping they could get close to the doors before being found out.
They were making good progress moving closer to the doors, but just after reaching halfway, Akihime felt a looming presence behind her for a split second before she saw Megohime’s expression change from focus to horror. Akihime felt like she was hit by a train as she was batted away from Megohime and further from the door, leaving Megohime to face the ghoul on her own.
“Otani!!” The rinkaku user slammed his heavy tail down on Megohime, who was barely able to keep herself from being crushed into the floor, unable to check on Akihime.

Akihime tumbled before catching herself, pushing up to look at what was happening. Her eyes widened, recognizing the voice right away.
"Yukimura..." She whispered before jumping up to rush over, "Stop! Get away from her!"
"Goddammit, Megohime, ask." Masamune hissed under his breath, his nails digging hard into his arms as he tried to keep seated. The whole room was buzzing with chatter now; a kakuja jumping in to save a human, and a Dove at that. It was quite the show.

The ghoul that stood over Megohime made her look like a child, red muscles wrapped over the ghoul beneath in, a mess of barbs and tentacles covering most of his upper body, leaving only his lower face and lower body exposed. The kakuja had no eyes, and despite covering the users eyes, it didn’t seem to impede him one bit.
The two ghouls in the arena with Megohime and Akihime rushed toward the ghoul, knowing he was an uninvited guest, but it only took an instant for Yukimura to deal with the two, slicing them both down the middle, two more of his tails sprouting from his back before they lashed wildly to pierce through Megohime who barely rolled out of the way in time. Yukimura hadn’t expected Akihime to be fighting someone, let alone another human, but he had no obligation to save that human, nor did he think he could.
His attention quickly shifted back toward Akihime when she came running back, his first instinct being to skewer her through the gut, but he fought the urge with every ounce of his being.
Megohime was back on her feet, a few new cuts oozing blood thanks to Yukimura, grunting with strain as she barely blocked another painfully heavy attack from Yukimura, who’s attention quickly turned back to her when she moved. She was still a threat to Akihime, and if he had to deal with her before they could leave, then he would.

Akihime snatched her blade and stood between Yukimura and Megohime, dead terrified but refusing to move.
"I-I don't know if you can hear me, but she's not my enemy! She's a friend! Don't hurt her anymore, aibou!" She tried to reason with him but how could she? He wasn't in his right mind.

Megohime stood behind Akihime, breathing heavily as she stared in confusion- did Akihime know this ghoul? Her thoughts were interrupted when all of Yukimura’s tails wrapped around Akihime in an instant, Megohime not having any time to react as Yukimura suddenly fled, taking Akihime with him. He tore easily through the heavy wooden doors leading outside, Akihime safely wrapped in his tails as he fled, leaving Megohime standing alone in a den full of ghouls. She was stunned into silence, watching Akihime disappear along with the Kakuja, the fight being zapped from her body, dropping her blade on the floor. Akihime was as good as dead. A full kakuja had taken her and would no doubt kill her and devour her body- the same of which would happen to her soon as well.

Yukimura had saliva dripping from his mouth as he slammed through the building, quickly making his escape from the manor and fleeing toward the city. He had to get somewhere away from there, but also somewhere secluded before he could release Akihime, but he didn’t have much time left before he lost his grip completely on himself.

"Well, well~ that sure was a fright, wasn't it~?" Shuu moved toward Megohime, shoes clicking against the floor, "And now, it's just you, mon cherie~"

Akihime wiggled and thrashed, dread sinking into every inch of skin.
"Yukimura, go back!! You have to go back, you forgot Megohime!!" She yelled, but with him holding her so tight, it was a wonder she could still breathe. She felt something wet drip onto her cheek and she froze before looking up at him, eyes wide at how much he was salivating, "Y...Yukimura...?"
