SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Megohime felt absolute crushing dread at the sound of Shuu walking closer- a stark reminder of her impending doom. Tears swelled in her eyes- she had just witnessed Akihime’s final moments alive, and now she too was about to die. Megohime spun on her heel, swinging her fist to punch the ghoul- a desperate last attempt at fighting for her life, but it felt hollow even to her.

The sharp tips of his tails threatened to pierce into Akihime’s skin, the sound of Yukimura panting heavily being the only response he gave her before the tails slowly started to unfurl. As carefully as he could he released her onto the ground, his heavy breathing turning into heavy wheezing as he struggled to hold onto himself. “I need you to shoot me.” The request came out of no where, the strain clear in his voice as he shakily pulled a gun from his waistband, holding it out to Akihime with a grotesque arm.

Shuu took the hit full force with a wicked grin on his face, her attack knocking his mask clean off. He grabbed her wrist and applied slow pressure, feeling the bone strain in his grasp.

"Sh..." Had she not been trained in ghoul dealings, the request would have horrified her. But she took it from him and pulled back the hammer, firing half the cylinder full of suppressants into him, hoping it would be enough to get her Yukimura back.

Megohime tried to pull her hand back, but it was like fighting a brick wall. She only lasted so long before she was dropped to her knees in submission, feeling like if she moved even slightly her wrist would snap. “Fuck you, you fucking fuck!” She spat at him, hand trembling in his grasp, teeth gnashed together.

He only grunted from being shot, but the suppressants were quick to work, the body armor slowly withering up and falling away from Yukimura. He looked exhausted and in pain, sweating and still breathing raggedly as his face slowly came into view. “I’m sorry.. did I hurt you?” He asked, looking to Akihime- he vaguely remembered hitting her, but his head was still buzzing.

"Such vulgar words from a pretty mouth. I think I'll take your tongue first." He said, releasing her wrist only to smack her straight into the floor.
Masamune's skull felt like an angry hive of bees was trapped in it, his body hot with rage as he watched helplessly. Why wasn't she asking for his help? Did she want to die?

Her shoulders dropped before she let the gun slip from her hands gently.
"A little..." She said softly before moving to hold his face gently, "I'm more worried about you...you could have gotten hurt..."

Megohime cried out when he hit her, and for a moment her scared eyes met Masamune’s again, but she quickly tore them away and forced herself back up. She felt pathetic in her flailing, but she refused to call out to him, refused to say his name or ask for his help.

Yukimura let out a weak laugh, smiling tiredly as he fought to stay on his feet. “I could have lost part of my family, I couldn’t let that happen..” Her hands felt good on his face, his skin still feeling feverish from the armor. “Forgive me for hurting you..”

Watching this was eating him alive, but he had to be good. No matter how much or how badly he wanted to try and defend her, he couldn't fight for her until she commanded him to.
"No one is going to help you, mon cherie. In fact, they're all waiting their turn to have a bite." Shuu said, he had caught her wandering eyes.

She shook her head gently before she kissed his cheek, lingering for a moment before pulling back, "You're forgiven..." She replied.

Megohime reached for her dropped blade, grabbing it numbly as she got back onto her feet to face Tsukiyama again- a meaningless act. She was no match for him, and that much was painfully obvious to all involved. She stared at the ground between them, lips pressed together, looking like she was on the verge of blurting something out. Gnashing her teeth she gripped her blade tightly, raising the point of the blade to Tsukiyama, glaring hatred at him. “Then I hope I hurt just as much coming out as I do going in.”

Yukimura gave a nod. “I want to take you back home before I leave again, I’ll do what I can to bring home your friend.” It was like his memory was on a delay when he used his kakuja armor, needing a moment for the memories to catch up before he could grasp what had happened while using it.

Masamune smacked his fist against the railing before biting hard into his knuckles, drawing blood as he did so.
Shuu's kokaku wrapped around his arm languidly, forming a razor sharp point at the end, his kakugan burning as he grinned.
"We shall see, my dear!" He said before rushing at her quickly.

Yukimura saw the fear flicker in her eyes for a moment before she grabbed onto him firmly.
"Take me to the safe house...please...I don't feel safe in my own home..." She told him weakly.

He was fast for being a koukaku wielder, and Megohime knew he would tire quickly, but she was already worn from fighting and her weapon gave her little protection. His blows were even heavier than Yukimura’s, each deflection with the small blade making her stumble a bit as she was pushed back, jaw clenched tightly.

Yukimura nodded, retrieving the gun and tucking it back into his waist band before moving back to Akihime. “We have to hurry- can I carry you?” He asked, struggling a bit to bring out even a single tail of his Kagune to help hold her with.

Shuu didn't hold any punches, hitting her with the full weight of his kagune behind the strikes. He managed to catch her in the side, forcing her guard to drop before slamming his forearm hard into her face.

She nodded, moving closer and holding onto him tightly. He could hear her heart pounding as she pressed into him, trying to make this as easy for him as possible.

Megohime felt a sharp pain in her ribs when he hit her, and she saw stars as he struck her in the face, knocking her to the ground again. Blood dripped steadily from her split lip and from her nose, struggling to get back to her feet before rushing Tsukiyama with the blade. Her head was swimming now, and the pounding in her head was worse from before, hearing a dull ringing in her ears.

Yukimura’s tail wrapped around her waist, this time much more gently, and even after being given such a large dose of RC suppressants, Yukimura was rather fast as he carried her back toward the hideout.

"Rather persistent." Shuu remarked, dodging her strikes before hitting her to the floor again, "Can't batter you too much, though. No one wpuld want you~"

She felt safe with him like this, relaxing against his chest as he took her home. Was it home now? He called her family, so maybe it was. She blushed softly and hid her face in his chest; they weren't a couple, at least she didn't think they were. They had sex once, but that was about the extent of any real affection or intimate focus he gave her. She understood, though, he had a whole colony to take care of, and he couldn't let some girl he brought in distract him. Still...her heart ached a little at the thought of there being nothing between them.

Megohime was much slower to get up this time, barely able to keep a hold of her blade as she struggled to her hands and knees, watching the blood dripping from her face splatter onto the floor in small droplets. “Wouldn’t want that, huh..?” Megohime muttered, mostly to herself.

Yukimura instinctively put a hand on her back when she leaned into him, as if holding her protectively. “Are you okay?” He asked as they moved from rooftop to rooftop, glancing down at her briefly. “Am I moving too fast?”

Shuu stood before her and watched her, anticipating another attack, "Do you need a break, mon petite~?"

She jerked slightly at his touch and looked up at him, cheeks flushed, "O-Oh, no! Y-You're ok! I'm fine! I-I just have a lot on my mind!" She replied, heart skipping.

Megohime wanted so badly to wipe the smug look off his face, to cut him to pieces, but all she had the strength for was to try and stab him in the foot. She wondered if they would kill her before eating her, or if she would be eaten alive like her parents.

Yukimura nodded, keeping his hand on her back for extra stability. He was starving now, all his energy zapped, but at least his instincts were no longer screaming to tear Akihime apart. It scared him- though he had saved her, he had still managed to hurt her. Still he had to keep going, he had to get Akihime to safety before returning for her friend, he only prayed that he made it in time.

"I suppose I should sell you, like any good meal." Shuu said, keeping his nice shoes away from her weapon. He turned to his guests with a smile, "We'll start the bidding at 50,000,000 yen!"

When they arrived at the safe house, Sasuke was there waiting with a scowl. He glared at Akihime and she avoided his gaze, shame burning in her chest and face.

Megohime couldn’t move, she didn’t want to. She didn’t want to watch people bidding on her with the intent to eat her. She held her breath as she sat on the floor, holding tightly to the knife in her grasp, but making no move to try and attack Shuu again.
“55,000,000 yen!” Megohime heard a woman call from somewhere out of sight, making her throat squeeze tight.

Yukimura noticed Sasuke’s sour look and gave him one of his own, carefully unwrapping his tail from around Akihime’s waist. “I have to go back- will you treat her wounds while I’m gone?” It wasn’t really a question, but Yukimura still extended the courtesy.

"65,000,000!" Another ghoul yelled, and Shuu gestured to acknowledge the high bid. What was happening? Why was this happening? Why her? Why couldn't the kakuja take her to eat, too? Why leave her behind?

"Go back?" Sasuke repeated, scowl deepening. Akihime turned to Yukimura and shook her head.
"Y-You don't have to put Sasuke out like that, I can take care of it...!" She told him.

Megohime turned her gaze to the blade still in her hand- it would probably be the only humane death she would get. It probably wouldn’t change her fate of being eaten, but at least she wouldn’t suffer as much.
“80,000,000 yen!”
Megohime hardly thought she was worth such a price, but knew that such money probably meant nothing to folks like them.

“Sasuke is knowledgeable in medical treatment, and we don’t leave family to treat their own wounds alone.” He said, keeping his gaze on Sasuke for a moment longer before turning around. “I don’t have much time if I’m to retrieve your friend.” He said to Akihime. “Rest here.”

"100,000,000!" Masamune shouted without a second thought and Shuu smirked at him.
"Quite expensive taste, Dokuganryuu~"

"Please come home safe." Akihime pleaded softly, "I'll be waiting for you, so don't take too long." Sasuke looked away, eyes sad.
"I'll get her patched up, dana. Good hunting."

A few murmurs moved through the room at the price, it looking like no one wanted to really go any higher for a single meal.
“150,000,000.” A calm voice called out- a man in a golden mask with long blonde hair and a cane, hand raised limply like he wasn’t really all that interested in the bid he had just placed himself.
Megohime looked up, eyes flicking from Masamune to the other man- why was Masamune bidding on her? Why did he care what happened to her?

Yukimura gave a firm nod to both of them before leaving quickly, hoping to find Megohime still alive and in one piece.

"200,000,000!" Masamune sounded panicked, kakugan agitated and angry. How could he let this happen to her? He should have gotten her out, no matter how mad it made her.

The man in the gold mask made a soft noise, expression hidden behind his mask as he silently shook his head, backing out of the bidding.
Megohime kept her mouth shut as she looked back to Masamune in disbelief, why spend so much money on her? Did he plan on hurting her? Was he still that angry at her?

"Sold, to Dokuganryuu!" Shuu announced amd the room filled with soft clapping, "If you so desire, you can come collect her now, or I cam have her cleaned."

Megohime turned her gaze away from Masamune, looking back down at the blade in her hands, but she didn’t get the chance to think about taking the blade to her throat again. A gloved hand reached down to take the blade from her grasp, another ghoul in a black suit with a plain white mask- one of Tsukiyama’s servants. He collected the blade before taking Megohime’s upper arm to help her stand, keeping a grip on her arm to keep her in place. She was bleeding and beat up, but she wasn’t missing any limbs and she was alive.
