SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Megohime let out a soft breath, ending the call before looking back up at the door. Maybe she had simply stepped away from her phone? She was short on time though. Steeling herself, she reached for the handle to let herself in.

As soon as she opened the door, she was met with a mess. And not a typical 'I've let my home get away from me' kind of mess. This was a struggle, plain and simple.

Megohime scowled softly at the sight before her, pressing the button on her quinque case as she stepped inside the house, silently drawing her weapon from its case as she scanned the room.

It was a nightmare in the apartment, furniture broken and thrown about in a wild attempt to keep something away. Before Megohime knew it, a ghoul rushed up on her and slammed her into the wall with his kokaku, another coming out of the hall with an unconscious Akihime.

Megohime only had time to raise her blade, but was still slammed hard into the wall. “Dammit! I should’ve known!” She hissed, trying to push the ghoul away.

Megohime struggled to shift the weight from her sword to one hand, trying to reach for the firearm hidden under her arm in her jacket. She had no idea who these ghouls were, or why they were targeting Akihime, but she had to do something.

Megohime grunted as her head hit the wall, feeling like her brain was bouncing around in her head, vision blurring and tasting copper.

Megohime’s body went limp this time, and as she lost consciousness she could feel her blade slip from her grasp.

Akihime felt awful by the time she regained consciousness, and when she did she had no idea where she was. She looked around with bleary eyes and groaned before stopping to rub her head.

The room was dim, and Akihime could feel a large plush chair beneath her, and though the lights were off in the room, Akihime could start to see that she was in what looked like a high end sitting room. Beside her, just across a small wooden table, Megohime sat slouched in a matching chair, unconscious and dressed in a black cocktail dress, her hair now down around her shoulders and her bangs partially covering her eyes.

Akihime wasn’t bound, but found that she too was in clothing she didn’t recognize- a red gown with a slit up the leg. Megohime wasn’t bound either, but she was slow to wake.
Her head was still spinning from having her head bounced off the wall, but Akihime calling out to her stirred her awake. “What..?” She was confused as to where they were, but quickly remembered the ghouls that had been hiding in Akihime’s apartment. “Where are we?”

"I don't know. I was waiting for you at my apartment but I was ambushed. I didn't mean for them to grab you, as well." She said, "Are you alright?"

“You were also in the middle of being kidnapped, not much you can really do about something like that.” Megohime held her head as she stood. “Has anyone been by since then?”

Megohime gave a small nod and looked around the room for a moment before moving to the window. To her dismay the window was fake, hidden mostly by heavy curtains, only leading to the wall. “They didn’t happen to leave anything on you did they?” She asked softly, looking toward the only door in the room.

“Wishful thinking..” Megohime muttered. “Either way, we shouldn’t just sit here and wait for someone to come back.” She looked to the door again. “It doesn’t sound like there’s anyone in the next room, what do you say about getting out of here?”

Megohime nodded and moved toward the door, reaching for the doorknob before carefully opening it and peeking outside. She was surprised to find the door unlocked, but it only put a heavier sense of anxiety in her gut as she stared down the empty hallway. “No one’s here.” She said softly before opening the door fully.
Outside he room was a long corridor, well lit and lined with nice decor and closed doors, yet not a single noise was heard. “I really hate this.” She muttered to Akihime, nothing about the situation sitting well with her.

She nodded in agreement, staying as close to Megohime as she could without hindering her, "Me neither. Who knew there was a place like this besides the Tsukuyama household." She whispered.

“Snobs with bad taste like them come in the dozens, trust me.” Megohime said, rather glad to have Akihime at her side- she felt completely vulnerable in the situation, from the clothes she was forced into, to the fact that she had to navigate through some empty maze.
