He nodded slightly before turning his attention upward when he heard movement. Not soon after, a corpse dropped beside them; the body was nearly stripped of all flesh and muscle, like some sort of carrion had gotten to it.
Megohime’s whole body went rigid, staring down at the corpse in horror before turning her attention quickly to where it had fallen from. She had to take a step away from the body, face pale. “Fuck!”
"Found him~" Masamune's voice rang, before his head poked out from over the roof of the building beside them, "Took me a minute, but he won't be bothering you anymore~"
Bothering her? What was he talking about? Megohime looked down to the corpse again, and only then did she fully see the face- about he only flesh left on his body. “Oh, fuck!” Megohime stagger away from the body even further, bringing her hand to her mouth as tears formed in her eyes.
Megohime tightened her grip on her quinque case, fighting the bile that threatened to pool in the back of her throat. “Why the fuck would this make me happy..?!”
Masamune's whole persona changed with his quickly growing anger and hurt, "Because he was raping you. I had to put a stop to it. I needed to protect you."
"You murdered an investigator of the CCG!" Kojurou snapped. Masamune's eyes moved to him, kakugan agitated.
"I took out the trash."
Megohime was mortified to have her sex life dragged back into the light, but it was overshadowed by the fact that the corpse of her fellow investigator lay beside her. “He wasn’t raping me you asshole!” She snapped at him.
Masamune didn't like that at all, she could see that it only served to anger him further.
"You...liked it...?" He asked quietly, voice shaking with tenseness. Kojurou opened his case immediately and brandished his quinque.
"Stay behind me, Megohime." He ordered.
Kojurou heard another familiar click and hiss as Megohime opened her own case. “I’m not a civilian Kojurou, I can fight too.” She said, a soft scowl on her face.
"You're still recovering." He stated firmly, keeping his eyes on Masamune. Said ghoul's bikaku slid out from behind him before smashing into the concrete, cracking it largely beside him.
"Tell me you're lying!" He snapped, "Tell me he forced you!"
Megohime hated having to be protected by Kojurou once again. She clenched her teeth, staying behind Kojurou as she looked Masamune in the eyes. “I won’t.”
Masamune burst forward, kakugan wild and angry as his bikaku moved to swipe Kojurou away, only to have the investigator use all his weight to keep Masamune back.
“Kojurou, be careful!” Megohime took a step forward, raising her blade only to stop when she noticed a masked figure stand up from behind Masamune, like they had appeared out of thin air. The figure reached out and grabbed Masamune by the back of his neck before throwing him hard against the wall.
The person wasn’t done with him yet, chasing after Masamune and punching him hard in the back of the head, causing his head to bounce off the wall again.
Megohime stood frozen in shock, watching as they grabbed Masamune by the hair and slammed his face into the bricks again. “Is that a ghoul..?”
Kojurou was stunned, watching Masamune fight fruitlessly against the masked assailant. What were they doing here, fighting for him again? This was twice now, wasn't it? This couldn't be coincidence.
"I...I'm not sure..." Kojurou muttered.
“Should we stop them?” Megohime sounded unsure as to what they should do, seeing as moments ago Masamune was attacking them.
Jin scowled angrily behind her mask, grunting with effort as she swung Masamune around like a rag doll. This was the same man that had supposedly killed her before, and now she found him attacking the man she couldn’t get out of her head- she was angry to say the least.
"Get the fuck away from me!" As Masamune swung and spun, hitting every surface Jin threw him against, his bikaku twisted and slammed into her gut, trying to buy himself time to put enough space between them.
"I...I don't know...they seem to be doing well enough.." Kojurou didn't really know what to do. He was just as confused as Megohime was.
Jin took the hit to the gut with a small flinch, but she only grabbed his Kagune and pulled hard, like she was trying to rip his Kagune from his body.
Megohime was frozen watching Masamune fight against Jin, a mix of emotion leading to conflicting feelings.
He had to try and keep as far from her as possible, scared for his life for the first time ever. He used all his strength to lift her with his kagune and hurl her into a wall, trying to get her to let him go so he could run.
Jin seemed prepared for his attack, tearing his Kagune in half before her own Kagune erupted from her shoulder, wrapping around her arm and ending in a thin blade. With one swipe she cut across both of his eyes, then kicked him hard into the wall, cracking the bricks in the process.
