SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

“I’m just as aware of the rules as the both of you, I don’t need either of you speaking down to me.” Amaya shot back. “How long have you been aware of me?”

“I didn’t realize you had the time to follow me online, I’m honored.” Amaya reached for the blade in her coat. “So, did you only come to chat, or should I send you after Ango?”

Amaya’s mouth went dry, a look of fear flashing in her eyes, hand freezing around the blade at her waist. “He.. wants me to come back..?” She echoed quietly.

Amaya felt frozen in place, staring down at the ground like she was considering her options. “How much does he know?” She asked softly. “Regarding me… how much is he aware of?”

Amaya’s breath caught in her throat, hand dropping to her side. “If I agree to go back, to do as he says, will he look the other way and ignore the ghouls I’ve been living with for the last few years?”

“I’ll do it, I’ll come back, just- just leave the ghouls there be, they’re just families, they’re weak.” Amaya said.

The words made Amaya’s guts twist in anxiety, but she nodded numbly, stepping forward to walk with the two investigators. She would fight to keep the others safe, even if it meant turning herself in in return.

Amaya didn’t seem to be interested in looking at either member, watching the city roll by out the window. “Yeah, just needed a change of scenery.” She said flatly.

“Yeah, sorry about that.” She didn’t sound very sorry, sounding more like she was reading something off a list.

Amaya knew things wouldn’t go well for herself, but if they already knew so much, her only option was to sell herself back to Matsunaga whatever the price- if only to keep everyone safe.

Amaya felt her skin crawl as she entered the building, the one she knew so well, she was raised there after all. It was impeccably clean inside, just as she remembered, and as always it was almost entirely silent.

"Ah, Kenzo. Hana. I'm so glad you were able to find her and convince her to come back." His voice alone made sick with anxiety. Kenzo and Hana bowed as Matsunaga approached, smirking at the three.

Amaya turned her gaze from Matsunaga, finding herself bent at the waist bowing to him the same way without even realizing. Her entire body felt cold with anxiety, limbs heavy and feeling as though she had lost her voice.

"She wants to bargain." Kenzo said. Matsunaga's smirk didn't waver for a moment.
"Bargain? And what does she have to bargain with? To bargain for?"
