SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Yukimura’s unfocused eyes stare fixed on Akihime for a moment, looking right through her blankly before they shifted off of her and back to an unfixed position beyond her.

She frowned softly and took his hand, "Let's go, I think there should be some ghouls around here somewhere...no humans, ok? Let's build that kakuja up, to protect the family better. Doesn't that sound good, Yukimura? Let's keep everyone safe."

Yukimura’s eyes became the recognizable red and black of a kakugan, but again, he never spoke. He followed where Akihime lead him, giving no resistance at all.

She hoped silently that they wouldn't run into anyone they knew; she didn't know if she could handle such blood on their hands. Matsunaga and his men followed behind them, keeping their eyes and ears open.
"Draw out some prey. He isn't going to stray from her until something catches his eye." He ordered softly.

“Yes sir.” The others broke off from the group, disappearing down alley ways to flush out any ghouls that might be hiding in them. It only took a minute or two for the first ghoul to scramble across the alley in front of Yukimura and Akihime. He acted instantly, breaking into a sprint after the ghoul in silence, eyes trained on the ghoul in front of him like a dog in chase.

Akihime wrung her hands as she watched, hearing the screams of terror from the alley next to them, watching as a couple more came rushing off to get away.

Yukimura’s Kagune burst forth, illuminating the alleyway in a low red glow as he skewered two ghouls trying to run by, grabbing the third with his bare hands. He used his teeth on the poor ghoul he caught with his hands, tearing into him without killing him first, devouring him on the spot as he held on tight to the dying ghouls skewered by his tails.

"You're a monster..." She muttered, voice quivering.
"He's your monster, Otani-sousakan." Matsunaga replied. She glared back at him, tears in her eyes.
"Not him. You."
"Do not speak to him that way." Hana hissed. Akihime turned her glare to Hana.
"I'll speak however I like, I hold Yukimura's leash."
"We hold his life. Please choose wisely." Matsunaga said.

All eyes were on Akihime, no one in the team happy with her cutting words. It wasn’t like the team was unarmed, each member equipped with a quinque case and a side arm- likely equipped with suppressants. No one dared to speak over Matsunaga, but it was clear they all held animosity for Akihime in that moment.

She lowered her gaze to glare at her feet, "Forgive me, Matsunaga-sousakan..."
"That's a good girl." He smirked, and her face flushed an embarrassing shade of red.

Only the weakening cries of ghouls and the awful sounds of ripping flesh could be heard in the alleyway, Yukimura devouring each ghoul he had caught with little care. Whole limbs fell to the side as he crouched in the alleyway, eating to the bone.

"Are you satisfied with him? Is he enough of a weapon for you?" She asked. Matsunaga made a face before shaking his head gently.
"Not nearly. He's a good tracker, but I need to see him fight." He replied. He turned to his children with a smile, "Otani-sousakan and I will be heading off alone with him. We'll draw out more ghouls that way."
"A-Are you sure?"
"You could get hurt...!"
"I'll be fine, don't you worry." Matsunaga assured. Akihime frowned and moved slowly to the entrance of the alleyway.
"Yukimura? We're leaving, it's time to go." She called gently.

Yukimura froze where he was on the ground, blood dripping down his face and covering his shirt and hands. He tossed away the dying and dead ghouls impaled on his tails and dropped the half-eaten flesh in his hands, standing slowly and moving back toward Akihime. He looked agitated to have been interrupted, but obeyed without making a fuss.

Yukimura felt like he was in this dark haze, like being submerged in a dark thick ooze that was as thick as tar. Occasionally he could hear familiar voices- smell familiar smells, but lately the one he took comfort in was Akihime’s. He didn’t know how Matsunaga was managing it, but Akihime’s voice kept calling to him, he just couldn’t understand it.

They walked for a long time it felt before Matsunaga became a little bored.
"Otani-sousakan, why don't you go act as bait?"
"H-Huh?" Akihime looked to Matsunaga with slightly wide eyes, "Bait?"
"Yes. Bait." He confirmed before waving his hand. Akihime looked to Yukimura worriedly before she hesitantly moved away.
"Stay right there, ok? Don't come until I call..."

Yukimura stared blankly at Akihime, almost like he could actually understand her, obeying and staying just a few paces away from Matsunaga. It was a disturbing sight, Yukimura drenched in blood standing at Matsunaga’s side with lifeless hungry eyes.

She bit her lip nervously as she kept walking, keeping her eyes open for ghouls. She got rather far from them by the time a ghoul found her. Two purple rinkakus swayed and flicked as he advanced, and Akihime took a step away.
"Don't be like that, sweetie~" He taunted. Akihime whimpered softly, not liking this at all. She had no means to protect herself besides the suppressants she had in case Yukimura went rampant.
"Y...Yuki..." She could barely manage to call him, tears blurring her vision, before the ghoul rushed on her. She screamed, running as fast as she could away from him, "Yukimura!!"

His name barely left her lips a second time before she felt a strong gust of wind behind her. There was no noise as Yukimura managed to cross the distance between them in mere seconds, pouncing on the other ghoul like a cat to a mouse. The sound of the ghouls bones breaking was audible as Yukimura slammed into him, grabbing him by the shoulder and his midsection, slamming him into the brick wall behind Akihime and pinning him there with all six tails. The scream that erupted from Yukimura covered up the scream of agony from the other ghoul, Yukimura sinking his teeth into the meat of his throat before tearing a sizable chunk out with ease. Angry veins spread further down his face, tearing into his neck and shoulder until only a gaping hole remained, illuminated dimly by the glow of his Kagune.

Akihime tripped when she looked back, falling on her ass as she watched Yukimura tear into this poor ghoul. She didn't dare interrupt him this time, even as the ghoul dying beneath him tried stabbing him with his own rinkaku.

Yukimura didn’t bother to block or dodge, letting himself be impaled as he continued to feast on him, like the wounds didn’t even bother him in the slightest.

"Rather resilient." Matsunaga noted as he stood beside Akihime, "It's like he doesn't even feel it."
"Please tell me you're satisfied. I want to get him back to rest." Akihime said, looking up at him. Matsunaga exhaled gently.
"While I would like to witness more, this was only a test run. Once he's finished, we can leave."

Once the ghouls struggling died down, Yukimura made quick work of his Kakuhou, tearing it out and devouring it whole. The flesh- although a ghouls -still helped his wounds heal quickly, keeping him from bleeding out.

Yukimura took a few more minutes to cannibalize the dead ghoul before returning to Akihime’s side. Already the stab wounds he had endured were nothing but shallow cuts, healing before her eyes.
