SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Matsunaga grabbed some papers and set them on his desk before grabbing a pen and offering it to Akihime, "If you would be so kind?" She hesitantly moved closer, reaching and taking the pen.
"Is Sasuke here, as well...?" She asked weakly. Matsunaga made a noise.
"Sasuke is here, yes."
"Where?" She asked, "I want to see him, too."
"Another time. Please, sign your transfer papers, Otani-sousakan."

Was Matsunaga also the one behind Amaya’s disappearance? It was no coincidence on how things turned out the way they did with Yukimura’s group- everything had been calculated and executed with almost perfect precision.

Akihime swallowed roughly and signed her transfer papers numbly, like she was signing away her soul. When she finished, Matsunaga smiled warmly.
"Thank you so much. I will inform your father and Mitsunari as soon as possible. If you want to return to your pet, you may." He said. Akihime left quickly, tracing her steps back to Yukimura's room.

Yukimura was still laying on the modified operating table, silent as death with only the sounds of medical machines beeped softly around him. It was hard to tell if he was awake or not with his eyes being obscured by his kakuja, his breathing painfully slow and shallow.

Yukimura stirred a bit, leaning into her touch the best he could manage with his head restrained. He let out a soft noise of pain again, tears dripping down his face from beneath the kakuja armor over his eyes.

"I know, it must really hurt...I'm so sorry..." She whimpered, "Don't worry, just be brave for me a bit longer, ok...? I'll get you out of here soon.."

Akihime wasn’t with Yukimura long before a few lab assistants entered, moving to Yukimura’s side. “Otani-sosakan, we’ve been told we’re to prepare this subject for expedition, please step aside so we can prepare him properly.” One man said.

“If you wish to know more about the expedition you’ll have to ask Hisehide-sousakan yourself.” He shook his head. “All he said was to prepare the specimen for travel; you will want his midsection closed up before we sit him back up.”

She made a weak noise and looked down at him, "I'll be back soon, ok? They're going to fix you up and then I'll be right here with you the whole time." She told him gently before slowly moving away and going to find Matsunaga. She moved to his office and knocked gently.
"Enter." He called and Akihime stepped in, "Ah, Otani-sousakan, welcome."
"What expedition are you sending Yukimura on?" She asked. Matsunaga made a noise as he flipped carefully through his papers.
"We are going to test his capabilities as a weapon against ghouls."
"You can't be serious!" Akihime argued.
"As serious as a car accident, my dear." Matsunaga replied, "Don't you worry, you will be going with him. We can't have him going rampant." Akihime shifted nervously; she had only seen him as a full kakuja once, and she recalled how barely in control he was then. What good could she do if he was completely lost to his base impulses?
"If...If you think I'll be any good?"
"He seemed to respond quite well to you. I can only assume he'll be a well behaved pup if you come calling." He replied. Akihime frowned heavily but nodded.
"Of course..."

This was a huge risk, a massive one in fact. Taking a leashed Kakuja for a walk? Even if he listened to Akihime here in the lab, there was nothing that guaranteed he would do any such thing out in the field.

It made her extremely nervous, "I'll need suppressants...just in case he doesn't listen."
"Oh, yes, every precaution will be taken. Don't you worry."

It felt like ages before Yukimura was ready to be loaded up into a van to be tested, a heavy muzzle made of quinque steel locked around his mouth. His wrists and ankles were also shackled, but those were only for the car ride so he could be more easily controlled. His kakuja armor had been peeled away by the lab workers, allowing for his eyes to regrow so he could regain his vision. Yukimura looked tired, but he also looked not all there, his eyes unfocused and dark like a tired wild animals.

Akihime didn't sit far from him, only an arms reach away. She lifted her hand and slowly rubbed his arm, wanting him to know subconsciously that she was there like she promised. How could this happen? And Sasuke; she had to find him soon and get him out. He had to get help to free the family that was surely being held captive as well.

There was so much Akihime didn’t know, and Matsunaga wouldn’t tell her- and Yukimura couldn’t. Sasuke was the only option left to get any answers about the situation. Yukimura sat silently beside Akihime, not reacting much at all to her touch.

Akihime received a few disgusted glances from the other members of Matsunaga’s team, but no one made a noise as they drove, not wanting to irritate Matsunaga. Soon they arrived at their destination, where everyone unloaded first, saving Yukimura for last.

Akihime stood and gently took Yukimura's arm, "Come on, follow me. You're doing great, Yukimura." She said gently as she walked out with him. She felt heated and disgusted glares on her again and she made a noise, keeping her eyes on Yukimura.

When they got out of the van, one of the other team members approached Yukimura, for the first time eliciting a response from him. He turned his gaze on them, making them hesitate before looking to Akihime. “Make sure he’s kept under control.” He said before removing the shackles around his wrists and ankles.

"He won't bite until I tell him to." She replied flatly, keeping her hands on Yukimura's arm.
"Be nice, Otani-sousakan." Matsunaga said, stopping a few feet away from them as to not agitate Yukimura. Akihime frowned and lowered her gaze, muttering a soft apology.

The one unlocking Yukimura looked anxious when Matsunaga spoke up, pressing his lips firmly together as to keep himself safe from Matsunaga’s anger.
He unlocked Yukimura quickly and moved away, leaving only the muzzle on over his mouth.

"You said we were testing him against ghouls...? How can we test him if he can't devour them...?" Akihime asked. Matsunaga hummed before he nodded.
"You'll have to remove the muzzle, he might take a finger from anyone else." He said. Akihime frowned more and turned to the one with the keys before holding out her hand.

The man glanced nervously at Matsunaga, but obeyed without question. He handed Akihime the keys before taking a step back for safety, eyes glued on Yukimura, who seemed to be wholly unaware of the conversation.

Akihime moved and unlocked the muzzle before moving in front of him to pull it off carefully. "There we go..." she whispered, "I bet that feels better, huh?" She rubbed his jaw slowly to ease any soreness, whether he was aware of it or not. "Are you hungry, Yukimura...? Do you want to eat...?"
