“What do you think of my godlike hands~?” Gyokko boasted holding up his webbed hands. “Anyone my fists touch turns into an adorable fish! And my speed!” He continued, looking delighted to have a captive audience to boast to. “My body is flexible and tough! And thanks to my flexible scales, I can bend in any direction I like! You’re both trembling, are you scared? My first attacks were just for show~”
“Even the most powerful attacks are meaningless if they don’t connect.” Muichiro had a smirk on his face Yuko had never seen before, mocking and cocky.

She didn't remember ever seeing Muichiro like this. It was almost like a switch had been flipped inside him. She shifted and winced a bit before gripping her blade.
"I'll give you an opening. I think we have him on the ropes." She said softly.

Muichiro slowly moved his body into position to move. “Don’t be ridiculous, your leg won’t hold up.” So he had noticed. “Only attack him when he’s focused on me.” He instructed.

Muichiro shot off again, swinging his blade for Gyokko’s neck, but the demon countered quickly. “Behold my magnificence when I get serious!” Yuko could barely track his movements, but could hear Muichiro’s blade connect with each hit.

It was impressive, to say the least. Sanemi was just as fast, if not faster, and she had a hard time keeping her eyes on him too. Hashira were incredible. She kept a close eye on the fight, or as best as she could, before she adjusted and used the second wind breathing form to deflect Gyokko's tail from piercing Muichiro.

Muichiro didn’t slow down, not even a bit, he moved forward at breakneck speed, targeting Gyokko’s neck once more as the demon attacked with all his might in each punch. He wouldn’t be able to land a single blow on the young Hashira however, seeming to disappear before reappearing just behind him.

Mist Breathing is so incredible, Yuko thought. To think someone as young as Muichiro was able to preform all forms of his breathing style and not look even a little tired doing it. He didn't need her at all! He was amazing!

Gyokko was struggling to keep up with Muichiro, the young boy flitting around easily, moving as fluid as water, and just as graceful. “Hey you,” He asked Gyokko, who spun to try and face him, but couldn’t seem to locate Muichiro at all. “Did you really think that you were the only one who wasn’t being serious before?” With one quick motion Muichiro stepped behind Gyokko, lowering his blade as he finished his cut, the demons head coming tumbling off his shoulders.

“This is he end, goodbye.” Muichiro said, watching the head bounce and roll a bit in Yuko’s direction. The young Hashira looked to Yuko as Gyokko’s severed head started screeching angrily. “Are you injured?”

Yuko winced a bit at the shrieking before shaking her head gently, "No, I'm alright. What about you, Muichiro-sama, you must have pushed yourself to the limit in that fight!"

Muichiro swiped his blade a dozen times, cutting Gyokko’s head into tiny pieces. “No, I’m fine, I feel great.” He said, looking to her, the marks on his face fading away.

She could see he was starting to shake a little, his expression slowly turning to one of someone on the verge of collapse. “No, no, really, I’m fine.”

The poor boy looked like he was about to drop, barley standing on his own two feet. “I told you I’m fine, so go tend to Kotetsu.” He said, and no sooner did he say so, did he start to foam at the mouth.

“You should lie him on his side.” A voice piped up from behind Yuko and Kanamori, Kotetsu standing there behind the two.

"Ah! That's right!" Yuko was the first to settle, despite Kanamori still screaming in terror, before she turned to calm Kanamori down. She rolled Muichiro onto his side to keep him from drowning as his lungs rejected the water, "I forgot about Rengoku-sama's hilt.." She muttered.

“Eh?” Kotetsu perked a bit, looking to Yuko. “How did you know?” He reached into his shirt and pulled out the Flame Hashira’s hilt he had hiding inside for safe keeping. “Tanjiro-san had given it to me to put on a new sword for him.”

"You were in shock at the time, but I stopped your bleeding after that demon attacked you..." She told him as she tried to help ease Muichiro as he coughed up the water, "I found Rengoku-sama's hilt when I checked the damage to your solar plexus...he was always so kind, Rengoku-sama. Always doing everything he could for others." She wiped her eyes quickly, missing the Flame hashira immensely; he trained Mitsuri, after all and when he was with Sanemi and her during her time as Tsuguko, he always complimented her cooking skills and how quickly she learned her master's breathing style.
