In the Year 1023... (Frozen Princess x RainK

Goldie nodded with a smile. KC had indeed figured everything out. Goldie expected nothing less from a goddess after all, Greek or otherwise.

They heard Angie yell at April's character, as well as spout off a few more McCoyisms, causing Goldie to shake her head and follow KC. "And let's hope our nothing is everything..." She shut the door behind her in the corridor, but the area of the game Goldie pixelated, returned to normal before any of the others could see the path out.

She frowned, "Uh. KC. Try now." She motioned to the invisible VR glasses in game. "Because, I can see your goggles." She successfully removed hers, and suddenly she was quoting another classic line of literature as her goggles easily came off, and they were STILL in the corridor that seemed part of the game. "Curiouser and curiouser." Not to mention another, which was also in a classic movie. "Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." The corridor looked like as Goldie had predicted; something right out of Star Wars! KC could use this to both lighten the mood, and re-center Goldie by reminding her they were never in Kansas to begin with, seeing as they both live in Littleton, Colorado.

Meanwhile, in game, a feline smile came across Catra's face. "Now, THAT'S what I'm talking about! Thank you, my queen, now gimme, err, please." She even did a little excited cat dance, proving more how much the game had messed with their minds.

Robin tutted at cantankerous Angie and clapped her hands for attention. "Thank the good people of Nottingham, my merry ladies, and let us away to Sherwood Forest, where we make plans to rescue our comrades!"

It wouldn't take long for them to reach the campsite and blazing fire. A giant of a man stood with a jovial smile. "Robin! Huzzah, you're still alive! Last we saw you, you were in the midst of battle between the Deputy Sheriff and his lot! Who are these with you? Hold, the queen of the cat people and another princess? However did you manage to convince THEM to join our crusade?"

KC would be wrong, as canonically, Little John was a big man. In fact, because Zara couldn't be any taller than seven feet, she and Little John would literally be eye to eye. Unfortunately, John wasn't a player, as he had no box, but there was no mistaking Little John of Robin Hood mythos.

Despite everything KC closed her eyes and stepped through the door before reopening them when nothing happened and she heard the other girl behind her closing the door. She raised a brow as she looked around before nodding at Goldie and mirroring her as she removed her goggles but nothing changed. She shook her head and crouched down messing with the feeling of where they were as she ran her hand along the ground. "Well I don't know about Kansas but we're def still somewhere digital because while this corridor feels cold and metallic there's something off about it ya know. Like my body knows it's not real or something." She shook her head before standing back up "Yea I'm not sure why you snagged me hun Polly is leagues smarter than me....well in school at least hehe"

Zara raised a brow at the girl while she did enjoy her cute eccentricities this was a bit much, but there was little to nothing she could do about it at the moment given their situation. She held them just out of reach of the smaller woman before smirking "Mmm ah ah not until you've paid for them." She smirked leaning forward with her lips pursed in an obvious desire for a kiss. Once satisfied she would gladly hand them over before joining the other girls and heading into the woods. After a bit of a trek, they found themselves in a well-worn camp with plenty of tents and plenty of people mingling here and there and the largest man Zara had ever met standing right in the center of it all. She raised a brow at him but quickly discovered he was an NPC and she shook her head "Greetings sir Little John and yes she managed to beguile my lovely squire so of course I had to follow along." She chuckled giving a nod to the smaller cat woman.

May glanced up at the call from Robinhood and while she was concerned they were leaving the other two girls behind she was sure the other would find her way back. So after a few minutes of debating she finally decided to head off after the other girls, although not without testing her flail along the way

Goldie nodded. "KC, If I wanted booksmart, I would have grabbed your girlfriend. I need street savvy. Although a working knowledge of science fiction lore would be greatly appreciated, I don't see that as the priority. I've heard how KC, that Mermaid volleyball player, uses her head, like a detective. A Sam Spade, or I guess a closer example might be Ace Hart if you saw Dog City. You study your surroundings. You just did, by describing how your body is still reacting to a digital world even though we're seeing this without our VR goggles. I'm sure I picked the right smart person to get to the bottom of this." They continued walking along until they came to two doors. Goldie stopped cold and her eyes bugged out. "Umm, if Polly doesn't know how to read Greek, she wouldn't have been any good. Since you chose to be a Greek goddess... You might understand that, are you reading what I am?" In a language, Greek, only Goldie could have read in real life, but KC could as her character, a sign clearly said Welcome to the Labyrinth of the Minotaur. They were in a maze! The surprise later, would be, the Minotaur would be mechanical, clearly science fiction, instead of mythology.

Catra leapt into Zara's arms, flung her arms around her neck and peppered her face with kisses, before getting her new 'claws' and snapping them in place. "Like a pair of gauntlets. But for cats!" She remarked happily, before following Zara to the camp, foraging here and there, without falling too far behind.

Polly, with her girlfriend off on some side mission with May's girlfriend, she decided it would be best if she just stayed close to May, and followed through, like May, with practicing with her diamond sword.

Little John only grinned, clapping Zara on the shoulder. "Then well met, I say, well met, indeed!" The smile was as warm as any Catra had ever seen, and hardly ever on a man, not even one as kind as her own father.

April cleared her throat, and then in typical Robin Hood fashion, began the meeting and welcomed input from everyone, in fact, she encouraged it. "Ladies and gentlemen, we only have until dawn on the morrow to rescue Friar Tuck and Maid Marian. I implore you to give me plans, routes and entrances into the castle and exits, that give us the best chance of success."

Polly shrugged. Why not use the plan in the novel?" Not realizing, where and how they were, the novel hadn't been written yet. No thunder warned her, and she didn't get outed from the game.

Little John, standing near Zara, turned to Zara and asked, "To what novel does young princess refer?"

April shook her head, it finally dawning on her, Polly didn't get punished. "Queen Zara wouldn't know, but I have an inkling. Probably the one she plans to write of our adventures, Little John. Prithee, princess, explain your plan you seem to think we all already know."

Polly gulped, also realizing her faux pas. "I... Uh... Can only tell you what I remember, err, writing, since I don't have it with me." She then gave a detailed account of Robin having to split the group, and her, Little John and a small party, one with lock picking abilities, go to rescue Friar Tuck and Maid Marian, while the rest run interference and distract the Deputy Sheriff and the guards to allow Robin and her team to escape into Sherwood Forest with the freed prisoners. She left out how in the story, Robin Hood wouldn't just rescue Friar Tuck and Maid Marian, but ALL the prisoners as they were all being held unlawfully, figuring April would do that without giving it a second thought. After all, she WAS Robin Hood!

KC stretched some as she glanced around listening to the other girl talk although as she did she couldn't hide the blush at all the compliments being thrown her way. "Oh hush what can I say when you're surrounded by geniuses and whatever you wanna qualify my best friend as you learn to adapt." She chuckled and followed her on down the hallway stopping to look at anything that caught her interest, but eventually catching up with Goldy in front of the door. She shook her head unable to read what was there, but it was as if the game sensed that and as soon as she was about to say as much the letters shifted and changed until they spoke with clarity at least to her mind. "Welllllllll shit"

Zara groaned happily as she was attacked with affection by the smaller girl scrambling across her peppering her cheeks with sweet kisses the entire time. Zara chuckled her eyes watching the road but always on the lookout for wherever Catra went when she stepped off to forage. Eventually, they settled into the camp she found herself next to Little John with Catra on the other side as they listened to everyone else talk. At the large man's question, she gave a shrug, she did know the story of Robin Hood but it had been a hot minute so she was interested in hearing this plan as well. "Whatever it is I doubt we're just gonna go rushing in there like last time so let's see what's what" She gave a nod to Polly encouraging the girl to continue. Zara chuckled after a moment before leaning into the man once more "I stand corrected seems we'll be making a lot of noise haha"

May settled in on a small stump as she listened to everyone talk about the plans flying this way and that until they got to talking about breaking in and picking locks then she perked up and an exclamation point appeared above her head before her fingers started to work and the words began to form up above. "Ooh ooh me me I can do that, the lock on my tower was magic but that doesn't mean I didn't try getting it open. And if I do say so myself I got pretty good at the whole endeavor." She smiled and nodded her arms crossing and a series of burglary emojis emphasized her words up above.

In the corridors of the inside of the virtual world, Goldie watched KC for a minute, just long enough to no doubt read the sign.Watching her shake her head and finally uttering her explicative, Goldie sighed. "Indeed. Was afraid you were going to say something like that. Looks like we're fighting the boss so they won't have to, maybe I should have grabbed a few more of our friends after all. Like Zara. Too late now." She took a deep breath. "Well, as King Henry the Fifth said in Shakespeare, 'once more unto the breach.'" She opened the door and stepped in, beginning the maze.

Meanwhile, April nodded enthusiastically with a jovial smile. "Of course! Should have thought of it myself!" She glanced at May reading her closed captions since she personally didn't know sign language and needed an interpreter to understand Will Scarlett. "I was hoping you'd volunteer. If nothing more, just to keep an eye on me, like you swore." She said with a laugh. "A small party, then. Little John, I'll be needing you for the muscle, we can let our other large friend lead the distraction. Allan A. Dale, I definitely need you in the distraction. Your stories can be best used as part of it." She thought about it and finally picked only two others, including an 'unnamed scribe' to account the rescue for the princess writing their adventures (which she assumed was Polly, due to her blunder). "Let's away to the woods around the castle, and wait for dark." With a quick look around, she said. "And godspeed to us all, my friends, I'll see you on the other side."

Polly gulped. She suddenly remembered why the chapter was 27.The following chapter was Robin's supposed death and Richard finally arriving. "Robin. Please. Don't take an unnecessary risk. Just rescue. You heard the blacksmith. King Richard will be here sometime tomorrow, but after dawn. We just need to rescue Friar Tuck and Maid Marian. Please."

April frowned for the first time since the gang met her. "Princess.Unless you make it an order, I cannot promise that." She stated, hands on her hips.

Polly just shook her head, sadly. She already changed the story once. No use pressing her luck.

"Then, likewise, I cannot promise you I won't take advantage beyond the rescue." A sigh. "Now, off you go. Diversion afore we sneak in."

Her friends would see Polly about to cry, as they started for their fated rendezvous.

KC stood back up shaking her head again before turning her attention back to Goldie and informing her on what the words actually were. She raised a brow at her calm demeanor and then she smirked "Yea well as they say hindsight is 2020." She chuckled some before stretching her arms out over her head and gave the other girl a nod as she entered first this time with KC following after her in quick succession. "Well at the very least we might should have told one of the others, but since the door just closed as soon as I let go of the handle I don't think that's an option." She nodded back at the now-closed and rapidly disappearing door they had just walked through.

Zara smiled at the plan standing tall next to the other overly massive character she turned to him and slammed her hand against his upper arm in a Spartan handshake before she broke off and moved over to those who would be part of her squad. As she did she managed to catch the end of Polly's discussion before the other girl shook her head and stepped back although as she did Zara caught sight of some telltale tears. She sighed, she was shit at this kind of stuff but that's what friends were for especially friends who were her best friend's girlfriend. After a moment she stepped over to the girl and squatted down in front of her so they could be eye to eye.
"I'm gonna assume you've read the original as well." She waited for her to answer before nodding "Well we've already messed things up, plus while she is playing the main character I think she has some sort of power over the story. I mean just look at all the other stuff we've already done that wasn't canon haha." She smiled and patted her shoulder before standing back up "Now then let's get going we've got some noise to make."

May was off following Hood, she was very excited to be trying out her skills and tools she had acquired having managed to snag a set of thieves' tools while they were at the market. Plus at the same time, she was able to follow the girl who seemed to be far too interested in her sisters well being mmhmm far too interested.

As Robin was giving last minute instructions to her part of the team, including asking May what supplies she would need to pick the locks. She didn't see everything everyone grabbed at the market, but mostly because it was hard to miss the princess's very shiny sword that practically glowed, May's new mace, and the cat Queen's new armour.

As the sunset began to happen, Allen A. Dale seemed to know that it was time. He tuned his lute, nodded once to Zara and strolled out of the cover of Sherwood Forest, strumming it and singing the praises of the little Hamlet of Nottingham. He immediately got a following.

As a bunch of guards tried to start breaking up the crowd, Catra and Cinderella were next out of hiding, Cinderella jumping on a guards back, and Catra defending Allan A Dale, both her clawed gauntlets and her own fangs glinting in the waning light.

It was starting, time to distract the rest of the guards posted near the door, so Robin and her team could sneak in and to the dungeons to pull the rescue.

May waved her off quickly flashing the set of toys she had picked up all the little sticks and spindles one needs to break a lock were sticking out through her fingers. She smiled and some text appeared above her head as her fingers quickly signed. "Not to worry I managed to break a few locks open with just a fork using actual tools should be a breeze."

Zara stood up and gave the bard a nod as he made his way from the woods onto the road and soon enough had a small crowd around him. Zara waited until she was sure the guards were properly distracted before letting loose the next two girls. And then finally when they decided to call for back up that was when she herself entered into the fray slamming her mace into a guard before sending another one flying the whole time letting loose a ferocious war laugh.

"Forks, eh? Cumbersome things, but if they work, they work." Robin nodded as she watched the action and Zara attack a guard at the door who didn't want to leave his post. "Guarded the prisoners to the end, it's clear for us, let's away, quick as ye can, now."

Once down in the dungeons they would find Friar Tuck and many other wrongly imprisoned villagers in many cells, all with hands and feet chained, and arms above their heads. Maid Marian, played by Kim, across from Tuck, stared in disbelief as she saw her own sister among the merry men and women. She let Tuck say his line first. "Glory be! Robin! I knew you wouldn't leave us here! Saints be praised!"

Kim shook her head, "May! Is that you or am I hallucinating?"

Robin looked over and saw Maid Marian, chained, her arms above her head. "Marian! My love, I'm so glad you're okay, relatively speaking. Tis no May here, tis Rapunzel who wishes to help break you all out of here." She gave a wink to May, "Take special care of this one, she's King Richard's very niece! I'll leave you to it then, with Little John as your bodyguard. There's something I must do, we'll all meet back in the woods." With that she was off... For Prince John's treasury of ill-gotten gold from Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Kim as Maid Marian. Not as red as I'd have liked on hair, but close enough.

Also, forks in Western Europe are about 20 years old at this time, and mostly used for cooking, it would make sense Rapunzel's captor would have them, and maybe even threaten Rapunzel with them.

May couldn't help but be distracted by all the commotion at the front of the castle the larger woman her girlfriend and several others were causing quite a bit of mayhem it was very impressive. Shaking her head she nodded at Robin when she got them moving and off they went deeper into the castle until they found the dungeon. As she was looking around a text box appeared above her head with an emoji of a number with several plus signs after indicating there was more here than she thought there'd be. At the sound of her name, she smiled although that smile dipped at Robin's words but she rolled her eyes and made her way to her sister's cell and set to work. As she did another box appeared above her head "Sooooo you and the woodsman hmmm? Do I need to say something" After the words came several emojis of kiss marks and the like. Soon enough with a few twists and turns there was a click and the door swung open after that it was fairly easy to undo Kim's binds and then set about releasing everyone else as well. Satisfied her hands started moving and more words appeared "Aright people lets get a move on we got to get outta here and quick" Then an image of someone running with clouds behind them appeared above her as she grabbed Kim's hand and dashed the way they had come.

On the outside Zara was quite enjoying herself it was fun having another larger than life character to fight with as they pulverized poor guards between them sending them reeling this way and that

Kim rolled her eyes. "Archer woman, more like. Apparently I'm not the only one who fantasized a Yuri romance between Maid Marian and a female Robin Hood. I mean men. Yuck. Too abusive. Guess they all can't be King Richard." She commented, mussing May's head before giving her a proper sisterly hug. "Wait... Did anyone see which way she went...?" If Kim ever read the book, seen some of the movies including the Disney one, she would have seen and known where Robin went.

Friar Tuck tutted her, "Never ye mind about that, milady, let's just get out of here like Robin asked!" He waddled (due to his weight) pretty quickly after May as Little John led them to the safety of the woods.

"Merry men and women! Retreat! Back to the forest! Hup! Hup!" Little John hollered, backhanding one guard into another in his escape, glancing quickly to meet Zara's eyes. The villagers didn't have to be told twice; they were the first ones into the safety of Sherwood Forest.

Polly and Cinderella, once they were safe, slid down nearby trees to each other, and panted trying to catch their breath, before Polly got up again, getting her second wind and sneaking quietly back to where she could watch the castle for Robin Hood.

Catra collapsed pretty much on Zara, and began purring (of course, because of her character).

Little John and Maid Marian, John after taking a head count, followed Polly to where she was watching the castle and muttering, "Come on, Robin, come on!"

Kim, knowing what her next line should be, found herself saying it without even thinking about it. "You don't need to worry so much about Robin Hood. She knows how to take care of herself. She sent the right people to rescue Friar Tuck and myself. She'll be here."

Little John nodded. "Just wish that dumb girl woulda let me in on her smart plan. I could have helped her."

Kim made a face. "Whatever it is John, trust the plan. And please, she's our leader, don't call her dumb."

John nodded. "Hmm. This is Prince John's castle, right? Meaning, not King Richard's and not having anything to do with King Richard?"

Kim frowned. "What's whether this castle is my uncle's have to do with tea in India?!"

"I think I know what the fool girl is up to. I just hope she doesn't get herself killed in the process." John said.

Polly immediately realized what Robin was up to. Clean out the treasury, hide the loot and then leap off the battlement near them into the moat amongst flying arrows. She gulped. John was the only one that was to see Robin's supposed death. "Maid Marian? Shouldn't, you know, check on the villagers that escaped with you and Tuck?"

"They're fine with the rest of the squad. Including your friends. If you're watching for Robin, I should too." Kim replied.

Polly tried to convince Kim to leave but Little John laid a big hand that covered her shoulder completely. "Let it be. When Maid Marian makes up her mind about something, it stays made up."

May rolled her eyes and a quick word popped up above her "Semantics" she chuckled and grabbed Kim's hand waving off behind them "She went that way to do something heroic I'm sure now get a move on like she said." She squeezed her sister's hand a little harder pulling her along to the woods fitting into the crowd of people running around them before finally stopping when they were safely in cover. She finally let go of the other girl's hand so she could take a moment to catch her breath however she couldn't stop the hiss that came out of her at Kim's words hoping she didn't notice the emoji of what looked like a pirate flag above her and meant death flag because stuff like that was just not something you said especially in a tense situation like this. She shook her head and settled down next to Kim for a moment to watch however she was feeling antsy so not long after she hopped back up and grabbed Kim by the hand once aiming to tug her deeper into the woods. "Come watched pot's never boil, besides you need something to eat and drink and to just relax the archer girl will be here soon enough so let's just wait in camp." She nodded at the others trying to use her older sister's powers to tug her little sister along.

Zara continued to beat back the soldiers that stood before her, but not without taking several cuts and jabs herself. By the end of their little diversion, her body was littered with all sorts of wounds but despite it all she was in good spirits and standing tall. Watching their retreat she made sure she was the last to leave the battlefield before joining the others in the little ditch they were calling cover. As soon as she sat down she felt the weight of her girlfriend flop on top of her and begin purring
"You are ridiculously adorable I hope you know that" She shook her head with a smile and leaned back resting her eyes for just a moment only to swiftly pass out.

Kim glanced the direction Little John and Polly were watching, sighed, and nodded. "Right then. I am technically third in command behind Robin and Little John."

She went with May to check in on the rest of the villagers they rescued that were imprisoned with her and Friar Tuck.

MEANWHILE:

While everyone was taking five and waiting for Robin Hood to show up again after giving a merry chase to the Deputy Sheriff and his men, and Prince John's guards, throughout the castle on her way to her fated dive into the castle moat, back in the inner workings of the game, and more immersed into a VR game than Goldie had ever been in before, she was studying the sheer walls of hers and KCs labyrinth prison.

A frightening sound that was very bull... If a mechanical echoed ahead of them, but seemed a few turns from what would have to be the center. She cast a wary glance at KC, who was for all intents and purposes, the only immortal of them both, being the Greek goddess of the hunt, Artemis.

"Well, your Most High Grace. Showtime. Any plans?"

Before KC could answer, the mechanical Minotaur burst into the opening, sounding like a steam engine, and roaring like thunder.

Goldie, showing fear for the nineteen foot bronze mechanical Goliath in front of them, grew wide eyed and mouthed, squeaked in a mix of alarm and genuine terror... And promptly hid behind KC, trembling. "Mommy! I'm not ready to face a steampunk Greek myth!"

May nodded forcing her sister to settle down on a log next to one of the fires before stepping away to snag some food and water. Soon enough she'd return with her quested items before joining Kim on the log content to just enjoy their time together and chat about small things.

KC continued to mark their path as they moved along not like Theseus unfortunately for she did not have any string but scratches on corners would have to do. She had just finished up making another mark with one of her arrows when she heard the mechanical whirring of what could only be the bull drawing closer. She was about to answer the other girl when suddenly the beast appeared and charged them
"One only Polly gets to call me that, Two stand up, Three throw something until it gets close enough then we dodge like matadors mmk. After that well we'll figure it out." She smiled down at her with a nod before turning back to the beast her arms tensing as she began to release arrow after arrow at it. Some just glanced off hitting armor others managed to stick but didn't seem to phase it. "When it passes look for a weak point"

Goldie didn't know Polly's relationship status with KC, who hadn't once even thought of referring to her girlfriend as "mommy", so as she began to trembly back out from behind KC, the stumped, yet terrified lady asked only of the first title she gave KC, "Most High Grace? But you're Artemis... Yeah... I must respect your authority."

Listening farther and seeing her fire her arrows, she nodded further. "Ah. Right. Distraction."She looked around for ammo and muttered "Wish this was Riddle of the Minotaur* We could use the Hand of Fate to defeat him!"

If KC saw the old Batman Animated adventure titled If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?, she could be sparked with an idea... She was the right hero for the job. Greek goddess definitely trumped Minotaur, especially since some of her arrows WERE sticking (You did say some were piercing the bronze 'skin')!

She did manage to become a moving target for the rampaging bull, and as the Minotaur would steam past them, roaring and puffing, Artemis would see the control panel right about where the temple would be. One well placed arrow there, and it would short-circuit, and they could get to the genius of this ingenious Jumanji type game trap.

KC glanced down at the girl with a quizzical look while still firing her arrows "No the other thing and its not really a thing yet but I mean if anyones gonna call me it, not gonna lie it would be pretty hot from my girlfriend." She chuckled nervously a blush spreading across her face as she thought about some things her arrows going wide for a moment. Before she shook her head and returned her attention to the battle at hand "Seriously though we both know where we are and who we are so don't treat me like I'm higher than you cause I'm not. You're like a super hot super smart archeologist I'm just a kid in high school who's kind of good at volleyball haha."

She smiled again before taking the sign from the other girl and dodging out of the way just in time her eyes roaming across the muscular body of the monster as it rushed past. She did manage to spot the control panel and nodded "Ok idea do you think you could trip it? Because if you can I can place an arrow in the perfect spot. If not, I might be able to ricochet it to hit the same spot, but it would be easier if you tripped it." She gave a small nod to her bag "Pretty sure I spawned in with rope."

Goldie sighed. "You DO know most archaeological work is digging up artifacts, and logging information, right? It's not Indiana Jones epic adventures. If that's what you're after, I'm game, but why use a weak hemplike fiber, when I have an honest to goodness Indiana Jones inspired leather bullwhip?" She pulled off her backpack and produced it. "My character is impossibly wealthy remember? I probably have a whole change of clothes in this thing." She smirked, patting it. She'd be wrong, she'd only have things necessary to defend herself and KC. She wouldn't even have a fedora, but would have a couple of daggers, sharp enough to tear into the bronze hide of the Minotaur if the tripping failed.

Tossing her backpack near KC (allowing KC to spy inside and call Goldie's bluff), Goldie looped one end of the bullwhip around one side of the wall, at a convenient outcrop, and pulled it taut across the other side of the aisle, approximately a foot off the floor. "Yeah, we needed a third person.... How are we going to get that thing to cross this way? I have to hold the handle end of the bullwhip, and you need to have an arrow ready!" She complained, which would draw the mechanism's attention.

KC raised a brow sarcastically as the other girl responded to her "Nooo archeology isn't like Indiana Jones it's boring....proceeds to pull out a bullwhip." She chuckled and nodded her head as the bag came sliding next to her and she couldn't help but snort at the sight of what was inside "Seems someone was patterned out hehe." She let loose another laugh before turning her attention back to what they were doing "Nah this should be fine he's already charged us for much less I'm positive he'll come for us again. Just do your best to stay out of sight while you hold it so his focus is solely on me k."

KC smiled and nodded at the monster before yelling at him "Hey mechanical wannabe get your butt back here I'm a prime target in need of goring or something like that." She struggled to think on her feet but apparently, that was enough as it roared and came rushing back down the hall towards her. She chewed on her lip as she patiently waited for it to get closer and closer then with a grunt it tripped over the line and slammed into the ground sliding towards her. Stopping just in front of her giving her the perfect point-blank shot into that control panel. The arrow sinking in and immediately set the whole thing to sparking she nodded and moved away from it just in case it wanted to blow "Boom monster slayed"

Goldie recovered her bullwhip and put it back in her backpack. As she watched the steampunk Greek mythical monster spark and sputter, she shook her head. "This nerd fella must not have seen these epics he's represented in making this in-between walkway a cross between Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Where's the big special effects explosion?"

"Krrtttssskkk! Pbbbtt!" The sparking Minotaur did as it finished off, and then acrid, sulphuric smoke, black as night, belched from it.

"Ugh! Stink bomb! Rotten eggs! Let's get out the door and to the next level, already!" Goldie whined, covering her nose and mouth with a monogrammed handkerchief. Her character's monogram though: GG for Goldie Gold, and burst through the exit of the maze.
------------------------------

Meanwhile, in the main game, Polly, who had returned to Little John's side, pointed quietly up on the castle wall. "There she is! Finally!"

They watched as Robin looked quickly behind her dodging flying arrows, before preparing to swan dive into the moat some forty feet below. John shook his head. "What is that fool girl thinking? Is she really going to dive into a ten foot deep moat from forty feet up? She'll ne'er survive that!"

And they watched Robin Hood, AKA April, do exactly that, among flying arrows, not making much of a splash when she hit the water. Little John put a large hand over Polly's shoulders. "Nothing we can do now but tell the rest. I'm sorry you won't have the happy ending for your story, Princess. I'll let you break the news to Marian. Girl to girl." He sighed and rubbed his face. "I'll handle the rest of the merry men and women."

"Little John, are you sure that's a ten foot deep moat?" Polly asked.

"Robin and I measured it ourselves. She dove from four times that height. Physics say she busted her head open when she hit the bottom of it." He shook his head. "You saw her straight arrow dive, head first, yourself."

Polly sighed. "I suggest telling Zara first. You're going to need the cat-people's queen on your side." It was a mumble. Robin had to survive that. She just had to! The story said she did, well Robin Hood the guy. April didn't even weigh as much, and she was playing Robin Hood! She had to survive that!

Little John nodded and patted her shoulder as he pointed to Marian near a campfire with some others. He went straight to Zara. "Majesty, I have some news. Please stay seated..." He then told of what he had witnessed. "I'm sorry. There's no way she survived that dive, not to mention those flying arrows..." He shook his head.

While John explained Robin's supposed death he witnessed to Zara, Kim as Marian got the terrible news from Polly.

"Nooooooo!!" She wailed and began bawling on her RL sister May, who was playing Rapunzel. Apparently, she really did love April after all.

KC smiled and shrugged at Goldies question only for the whole thing to begin frying itself from the inside even more. She coughed and covered her own nose as she followed the other girl out. "Gosh dang it, don't you know never say anything that can be construed as well it couldn't get any worse. Now we gotta deal with that because you toyed with the laws of I don't know something." She chuckled shaking her head as she ran.

Zara glanced up at the larger man as he stepped over to her, she was sure she already knew what he was going to say but she let him say it. She sighed and rubbed her face before looking at the fire, she wasn't sure how to game would treat all of this if it would follow the true story or not. Or if someone died to the story if they respawned like other deaths or if it was a bit more drastic. She shook her head and patted the bigger man on the back
"Thank you Little John, we must hold out hope stranger things have happened. But know this you do have my support should you need it."

May wasn't sure what she could do in this situation so she just held her sister and let her sob. Her feelings were conflicted on the whole some other girl dating her sister but well now wasn't the time and so she just squeezed her tight and one hand slowly drifted through her hair.
