He groaned contently as the healing magic washed over him and closed the large gashes upon his chest, sealing his injuries and relieving the pain they were giving him. It seemed to take multiple uses of the wand to do the job but he didn't care, his life was worth it in the end after all and Talmera was still a potential threat should she get loose. "You say it like I should be excited. Yeah, I survived but it wasn't easy." Draven spoke in response, less happy with the situation if only for the fact that he felt they had come close to ruin. Still, they were yet alive and he had a better sacrifice than he could have hoped for. To add insult to injury he planned on saying a line of thanks to this Ashava when the time came to complete the ritual; Jezelda should enjoy that little touch.
Once they had returned to the chapel and tied the werebear down upon the altar, a jolt from the wand was enough to wake Talmera up so it would seem. Misaki's quick thinking with the rope around the woman's neck seemed to help prevent her from trying a daring escape; then again, the strength ebbing away from the wake of her rage also seemed to help ensure that she was securely held for the time being anyways. For his part, the werewolf simply stood there with arms crossed as he shook his head; unimpressed with her anger and incapability of accepting the simple fact that she'd lost. That just meant the sacrifice would be more enjoyable for him, though they had plenty of time left before the moon was at its peak.
"You wounded me, certainly, and you might have won if I had been alone. Of course, werewolves understand that there is strength within the pack. Even if all I currently posses is an omega." There was an edge to his voice that was cutting in regards to Misaki, perhaps more dismissive than she deserved at this stage, but he hoped it would serve to subconsciously push herself to submit to him even further in hopes of earning true praise in the future. "My tribe is too concerned with the fey and the war for the Worldwound. It's a pleasurable existence, constant fighting and plenty of soft prey to rip apart with fang and claw, but someone with true potential like me isn't satisfied with a simple life."
The irony being that he spoke of his past like that of a farmer's life, simple toil, when his views were so otherwise skewed compared to anything that Misaki likely knew before their meeting and joining of fates as it were. His yellow eyes darted to the kitsune for a few moments as he debated how much he should share but, ultimately, she'd know the truth by tonight's end one way or another so there was hardly any point hiding it from her. "Your goddess, this...Ashava, sent you to try and kill me before I could complete my task for Jezelda. Good, I can sense the fear behind the desperate actions and this tells me I'm on the right path. Your failure gives me a better result though, just as I said before. Beneath the full moon I will say the rites of sacrifice, I will surrender your body and soul to the Mistress of the Hungry Moon, and I will tear out your throat and consume your heart while you are still aware in your last moments of consciousness. Of course, until then, there's nothing saying I can't have a little fun with you."
