Thousand-year Curse (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

Amaya peeked out from under her arm, smiling softly. “Well, at least I wasn’t terrible..”

Megohime had been called into the school on assignment- which wasn’t unusual, but uncommon -leaving Masamune with no friendly allies, but it wasn’t like he really needed them anyways.

Megohime would have to put it at the back of her mind for now, she would take whatever job the students couldn’t handle, finish it and be on her way.

When she arrived at the location said to have housed such a terrible curse, but there wasn't anything there from what she could tell. At keast for now.

Megohime found it strange that she couldn’t detect any curses nearby, thinking perhaps it had run? Maybe it had already been dealt with and they had forgotten to tell her? Still, she started to scout around, figuring she would be sure the curse was gone.

Megohime’s eyes widened and she quickly jumped back to give herself a bit more distance, yanking the zipper of her coat down to release her own Shikigami. What was a Shikigami doing there? She was told it was a curse.

It lunged at her, teeth beared for her throat. At the same time, a boy with white hair rushed at her from her blond spot wielding a cursed weapon in his hand.

Megohime barely had time to react, having just enough time to raise her arm to shield her throat before the dog latched onto her.

Megohime clenched her teeth when the dog bit into her arm, but used the momentum of the dog to her advantage. She grabbed ahold of its neck with her free arm and spun with the force of the dog jumping onto her, using the dog as a shield against Mitsunari’s attack. She was still unable to free her Shikigami, it trapped under her coat that hid her skin.

He was forced to desummon his shikigami so it wouldn't slam into him, trying to keep her from revealing her shikigami by keeping her hands and arms busy with a flury of attacks.

Megohime didn’t recognize the sorcerer, but he was no novice. She could barely keep up with his quick attacks, having to dodge and parry his attack with her hands; she had no chance to go on the offensive.

He would land a few blows with his sword or occasionally his fist, but Megohime was still holding her own. Her only problem now was that while she was fast enough to defend from his attacks, she didn’t have the stamina to do so for very long.

He didn't appear to even be remotely tired, fueled by some kind of deep seeded rage. What was this about? Why was he here? Was this a trap? Obviously, but for what? And why?

Megohime kept trying to retreat, needing to put distance between the two, even for a moment. Yes, if she could widen the distance between them, then she’d have the time to release her Shikigami.

“Yeah right.” Megohime dodged the dog once again, being pushed further into the building. She had to retreat backwards, but as she did so, she reached down and tore the leg of her tights, exposing a red tiger tattoo. The tiger pulled away from her skin and came to life as it leapt from her body; she’d prefer to use her dragon, but so was unable to get her coat off to release it.

Was he a hitman? Or perhaps it was a the school itself who had told him this information?
“What makes you so sure of that?” She asked, finally getting the chance to move onto the offensive.
