What’s your go-to alcoholic beverage? [21+]

high abv stouts and ipas are the drink of choice, but lately I've been getting into cocktails. I infused some of my own gin and that made a great gin and tonic. I also steeped some tea in some other gin (I guess I like gin) to make a marteani (earl grey infused gin, simple syrup, lemon juice, eggwhite) which is probably the best drink I've ever had. Old fashioneds are, however, easier and very good.
 
Cider. They used to sell really strong cider cheap where I lived, so I drank it a lot in uni. These days I mostly drink it for the taste. There's a strawberry/lime cider that's divine.

I can't believe you guys can do porn at 18 and go to war even younger but can't drink till your 21!

Anyhoo, I like Scotch, Absinthe and Drambuie. Not together just my three faves.
 
Cheapest of the cheap..... Smirnoff Vodka--plastic bottle and everything. It does just what I want and blends effortlessly into whatever I may want to put inside it.
 
Vanilla vodka and coca-cola, mixed about half and half. Or cinnamon whiskey and dr. pepper, about the same kind of mixture. I’m not much of a drinker but these are my go-tos.
 
Anything that isn't beer, wine, or cider. Zombies are great and a good White Russian? Mmm, drinkable dessert that makes you toasty. Scooby Snacks are fun too.
 
Used to be a beer connoisseur -- loving Köstritzer Schwarzbier above all others. But, alas, times and digestive tolerances change ...

Now, my faves include good ol' Gin & Tonic with botanical gin, Bulleit Bourbon, and Laphroaig Scotch Whisky.

Gin mixed with Gatorade. It keeps you hydrated and gets you drunk 😁
 
I'd say the ones I've had have quickly become my go-to's during summer. Long Island Ice Tea, Mojito and Cuba Libre as well as Spritz (common drink w/ appetizers in Italy) were all solid.

Otherwise I can be seen drinking Heineken, Asahi, Corona or Ichnusa. I've had some Karlovačko cans/pints in Croatia or whenever my uncle brings some back home. I never really have more than a beer at once or outside of meals, really.

Wine-wise, I don't have a preference as that's mostly drank during holidays/birthdays, had some shots of Limoncello and Vecchio Amaro Del Capo on days off with my dad, though.
 
it comes and goes

in the past year, probably just bourbon - neat, or with a bit of whiskey sour (how much? who knows. it's all eyeballing) - because it's low-effort and convenient

otherwise, whatever i'm in the mood of mixing. usually a white rum or vodka base, with some kind of fruity juice (guava, peach, anything v. sweet), balanced with fresh slices of lime, and a dash or two of orange bitters

also really fond of rum + citrus red bull but alas, nowadays i value my sleep too much for that
