She couldn’t see his face, but the awkward silence told her what she needed to know. “Jin desu..” She said softly. “Kawabe Jin.”

“Checking on my wounds can’t be the only thing you’re here for... Is there any thing I can do for you..?” She asked softly.

A confused look crossed her face and she shook her head. “I don’t understand.” She said. “Why would you wish to know more about me..?”

She blinked in confusion, not knowing who this Megohime-dono was, or why they would even want to hire her. “I don’t know what you think an injured tag can do in a fight..” She lowered her gaze; she knew she had been left behind, that Gastou no longer had use for her, so what use was she to this man? “Forgive me, but I am not a prostitute if that is what you’re looking for.”

"A-Ah, no! Not at all! You're a Tag, and we need as many capable bodies as we can! You still have use, and we would like to have you on board!" He stammered, clearly embarrassed.

Jin felt a small frown tug at her face. “Please let me consider your offer.” She bowed her head slightly.

Yukimura and Akihime had been going out on dates more and more, each time Yukimura finding himself even more lost than the first time- he loved her, but what was he supposed to do? She was a prostitute and he was a gang leader, and now more than ever, he was busy trying to put his house back together after the murder of Shingen.

They were supposed to go on another date today, Akihime did her best to try and take Yukimura's mind off the pain and stress. But, for some reason, she didn't show up.

Yukimura waited in their usual meet up spot for almost two hours, eventually getting a call from someone back at his estate and needing to head home. Had she forgotten they were supposed to meet up that day?

After getting what he needed done, he decided to go check on her in Bastard. Maybe she was just busy? Akihime was never the type to forget. Perhaps a client took longer than she thought and she didn't have the time to let him know? It wasn't uncommon, she did have some appointments that went over the allotted time sometimes.

It was late when Yukimura showed up at Bastard, letting himself up after making sure Akihime wasn’t with a client with the front desk. He noticed some of the girls seemed nervous, glancing at him as he ascended the stairs to Akihime’s room- were they afraid of the recent gang activities surrounding him?
“Akihime?” Yukimura knocked on her door, listening to hear if she was inside.

He heard a gasp and some soft glass bottles clattering, "D-Don't come in! I-I'm very plain looking!" Plain looking? What kind of excuse was that?

Yukimura frowned, brows furrowed. “Akihime, is everything alright? You never showed up today.” He said through the door; what was she talking about plain looking?

“I’m coming in.” Yukimura said, after having paused for a moment, turning the doorknob and pushing the door open.

"N-No!!" When he came in, he was met with an awful sight. Akihime was covered in angry red and purple bruises on her upper arms and her sides. Her neck even had a dark bruise around it. She was in the middle of trying to hide them with make up when he came in, her cheeks stained with tears.

Yukimura’s eyes slowly widened, and he was frozen in place for a moment before rushing to her side. “Akihime, what happened?! Who did this to you..!?” He asked, looking her over, shaking slightly.

“You aren’t fine! Look at you!” Yukimura seemed beyond upset. “Who did this? Tell me what client did this to you..!” He looked almost like he was going to.. cry? Why would he shed tears over her, did she really mean that much to him?

She shook her head, "I-It's alright, really...I'm sorry I missed our date, I promise I'll make it up to you." She said gently. Why did he care so much? She was just a whore, nothing more than that.
