Forward: I don't know how many Star Trek fans there are on the site, I guess we'll see how this goes. But, if you see this and you like Star Trek in any medium (ToS, TNG, VOY, DS9), then I hope this becomes a melting pot of ideas and creativity. I understand science-fiction can be difficult to write, even though I've written over a dozen manuscripts comprised of hundreds of thousands of words--I still find it difficult to write. But, my hope is that won't dissuade you from trying. That you'll keep attempting and push forwards through the challenges and difficulties and leave your mark. Star Trek is about exploration, moral and ethical obligation--as much as it is about space battles. It's about overarching character stories, and it's about deep, personal issues. And these are the kinds of things that interest me the most at times. Things that me stop and think about what my character is or should be doing. I hope to make a story that is diverse, fun and memorable. Thank-you.

Rules:

1.) Be polite and respectful to fellow members and guests.

2.) No 'flaming' the Star Trek brand. If you don't like Star Trek, that's fine, just don't come into my request thread and fuss about it.

3.) No spamming messages; you only need one post per message. If I don't answer your question, I may be deliberating on it. Either way, I will tell you definitively 'yes' or 'no' in due time.

4.) You can create a Maximum of 2 characters to start--this might be increased as the storyline progresses.

5.) We will be using the Starship 'Eclipse' Cruiser as the cast's primary vessel. Though classified as a long-range intelligence-gathering vessel, the USS Valkyrie in this instance, is a highly advanced battlecruiser-class starship.

6.) This roleplay will be in the mid-24th-early 25th centuries in the Star Trek landscape so there have been some major improvements and upgrades to ships, systems, weapons, and shields.

7.) Write 2 paragraphs per post; 5-10 Sentences each. If you feel you can write more--feel free. But no one is obligated to do more than that base requirement. Just write plenty of description--if you're having a dialogue add personality to your character.

Aye. Its a Symbiote to a Trill. But, those were refrences. I dont want series characters. I want new ones to flesh out and help watch them grow

I thought about being a trill but decided against it .. terry Farrell who plays day was awesome and gorgeous . Love the thought of being empathetic

"The warp cores aren't responsive!" "Try telling them they're doing a great job. A little encouragement goes a long way." Lmao

*Applauds*

Klingon response: "Punch or kick it! That usually works!"

Well, thought of playing 7 of 9 herself, but seeing that she would appear in the new Picard series, I would rather not. :)

But Dax is not Jadzia or Ezri, but the symbionte... with hosts: LelaTobinEmonyAudridToriasJoranCurzonJadziaEzriYedrinVerad

If you choose Vulcan or a female Trill, she could have some Drama with the Admiral. :^)

Move away from my warp core and Stop picking on Herlol

*Chuckles* But its so funny when she pouts! :p

So, after dinner and a movie and skimming later messages..

Is the tone really going to be like a caste system of who knows more obscure trivia or is it going to be fun? Cuz, I'm really put off to an Andorian, right now, and doing a research project isn't something I'm interested in. I watched most of the various series years ago, and that's my knowledge base. I don't think that what I do or don't do with a marriage system my character isn't participating in is really any kind of qualifier for "how I play". Not every member of every culture follows every rule and tradition irl, so I don't know why it would be expected in sci-fi.

Relax, we're not going to lose ourselves in stuff like that. She was just putting it out there if anyone wanted to do it.

Learning about different cultures is also apart of Star Trek.

For example the Admiral know the hand to hand combat of both Vulcan and Klingon cultures.

I'll have the layout of how I want the bios and such up later today. Imma get some sleep. Just save it in word pad or something until I get all that put up.

Don't know where obi got that impression from. I've poked fun at my lack of knowledge in ST and it also states in the intro;

"I understand science-fiction can be difficult to write, even though I've written over a dozen manuscripts comprised of hundreds of thousands of words--I still find it difficult to write. But, my hope is that won't dissuade you from trying."

No one has to be pressured or stressed. Just have fun right?

Exactly.

I think me giving @obieblu the option to make a normal Andorian family somehow went through as me wanting to tell how to play. No, I just said a little bit later, that I do consider Star Trek trivia a part of any Star Trek game I play. And if Andorians - or any other species - would be played contradicting what could be considered canon, I do not want to be part of that species in this game. Because while it is possible to have someone like Worf, it still means that other Klingons (or really, anyone knowing Klingons) would have to react canonically to that exception.

Basically there is no need for me to bring another Andorian, if there is already one, unless they are a family group.

Also, @Dark Country , I do not do only F/F, but more along F(Fu) x anything. But seeing that you said this would be less smut more plot, I have no problems with technologically uplifted masturbation. :) (I mean, Holodecks, replicators, countless alien toys... and then the medicaland technological possibilities)

Ok just putting this out there but if my human character makes this rp he's gonna try and bang an alien... jus sayin...
