Unravel (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

Jin felt how the arm was, curling the metal fingers and rolling her shoulder with a nod. “It feels good.” She said.

Jin was glad to have her new arm, even though it would take some time getting used too, she at least wouldn’t be put out of commission.

She received a text from a number she didn't recognize at first before she realized who it was. Mitsuhide, whom she hadn't seen since the academy, was requesting her help with a ghoul. How odd, a single ghoul shouldn't be so hard for him.

Jin scowled at the text, reading it a few times to herself before sending a call to Mitsuhide. Things seemed off- a ghoul? Why was he contacting her and not the CCG itself?

Jin scowled more, this was ridiculous; did his lab fumes finally get to him? She punched the address into her GPS and set off from there. Surely he wouldn’t be so foolish to call just her for help? Perhaps he was desperate though, and couldn’t get a hold of anyone else? She didn’t like the feeling that settled in her stomach as she drove to the location given.

It didn’t take Jin very long to arrive at the address, parking her car and getting out with her briefcase in hand, trying to call Mitsuhide one last time as she approached the home.

Jin scowled at the smell, pressing the button on her briefcase as she stepped inside, bringing out her weapon and discarding the briefcase on the floor. She was on high alert as she moved silently through the home, following the smell of blood.

The smell grew stronger and stronger the further she went before reaching a door. She pushed the door open carefully and peered in, seeing a mangled body on the floor.

Jin looked around the room, not seeing anyone else besides the battered body on the ground, and moving closer to inspect the body, unable to see fully who it was.

Jin tried to catch herself, tried to stop herself from falling, but could only manage to catch herself on her hands and knees. She had the taste of metal in her mouth, ears ringing as she turned to see what had hit her.

Jin collapsed fully to the ground with a grunt as the object hit her again, and even as she started to lose consciousness, she struggled to get back up, but her body didn’t respond how she wanted it to. Even once she was unconscious, she hadn’t let go of her quinque, blood staining the back of her head.

She was out cold, blood trickling from the wounds he opened up on her head, but she was still breathing.

Jin woke with a soft groan of pain, ears ringing and head throbbing. Her mouth felt like it was full of cotton, tasting a bit of blood as she tried to get her bearings. What had happened? Had the ghoul gotten her? Was Mitsuhide dead?

Her vision was still blurry, but she fixed her gaze on the figure that came into view. “Akechi..?” She sounded confused, still looking rather dazed.
