Unravel (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

Megohime hadn’t even smelled anyone, hadn’t heard a thing. She spun to face the voice, scowling heavily as she flicked her cigarette away. “Don’t talk about him like that, he’s-” If she wasn’t careful, she’d give away that Masamune helped a ghoul.

Megohime clenched her fists, keeping her eyes glued to him. “Doves like him are strong; respectable. They aren’t toys.” An uneasy feeling settled on the back of her neck, like the tip of a blade resting lightly on her skin- this guy was dangerous.

He was pulling words right out of her mouth, she had to keep it short or he’d find things out she really didn’t want him to. “What difference does it make what I did with him?”

Megohime couldn’t stop her Kakugan from flaring angrily. “Yeah? And you aren’t about to either.” She knew he was a Dove, he carried the same smell they all did, but she didn’t care. She was hurting, and he was just poking at her wounds; she would tear him limb from limb.

The name made her blood run cold, and without thinking, her Kagune erupted from her body, shooting forward to spear the investigator through the gut.

“You just don’t shut the fuck up, do you?” She growled, the weight of her own Kagune something she wasn’t used to just yet, forced into a crouching position as she swung her tail hard to connect with his side again.

It was infuriating to watch, him deflecting her Kagune so easily when it was a struggle to even move it -and with such a small weapon no less. She focused on attacking him, knowing he’d be the type to use words to get her to lose her cool.

Her tail split into three barbed segments, trying to wrap around Sasuke, Megohime pushing herself onto her feet, moving closer to attack. She just had to keep her mouth shut about Masamune, that was all she had to do.

Megohime could already feel her heart beating hard in her chest, expending energy she didn’t have. She would have to run, she had no choice; it made her angry. She clenched her teeth and swung for his head, hoping to use the small diversion to try and flee.

Megohime didn’t have the strength or endurance to keep this fight any longer, but even worse was that she couldn’t quite control her Kagune fully yet either. Try as she might, she couldn’t release her Kagune, it was stuck out. She had no choice but to fight. She put all of her strength into yanking Sasuke forward off his feet, trying to throw him off the edge of the building, or at the very least, shake him free.

The weight of her kagune pulled him forward, but he kept his blades locked despite her effort. He regained his footing and decided to try the same; he twisted his sai's and yanked hard, pulling her forward and slamming his foot into her chest.

He felt and heard something snap as his foot planted firmly into her chest, Megohime wheezing hard as she staggered back, trying again to yank him off balance.

“Shut your mouth.” Why wasn’t she just releasing her Kagune, it wasn’t like she couldn’t detach it- or maybe she couldn’t?
Megohime knew that fighting with her full strength would mean broken bones, but she had to if she were to break free from him. She closed the distance fast, feeling her ankles flare with pain as she did so, aiming a punch for his head.

What was wrong with her? It was like she had a human body with the abilities of a ghoul; she was far too fragile for a ghoul. Megohime bit back her cry of pain, kicking Sasuke as hard as she could in the chest. She saw white, feeling her foot break, but shouldered through the pain, launching off of him and making a break for the alley below.
