"Lets get out of here..." The words were whispered. Calder didn't want to hurt Severus, but being in the room wasn't going to help anyone, and he could feel the extra tension in Rune. The blond herded them all out into the hallway, carefully setting Severus into a chair that was outside the door. He looked to Rune, tears still flowing. "I... I need to say goodbye." He choked on the last word, his heart constricting painfully. Calder kissed the top of his son's head and then his husband's lips before disappearing back into the room for only a couple of minutes, his heart breaking the entire time.

Rune pulled Severus into a tight hug. Kissing the top of his head and then pressing his face into the top of his head. He huged him, rocking their forms back and forth and he kept his features pressed into the dark locks of his son. He oculd not believe this happened. How could this happen? It should not have. It really should not have.

Calder emerged and wrapped himself around both men, kissing over his son's face while trying to comfort him and knowing there was nothing he could say that would. "Come on" was eventually whispered and they were guided towards the door. In the back of his mind, Calder knew it was Jupiter trying to help. Really, Calder was dreading leaving. Leaving meant facing the world without Lucius...it meant telling Draco.

Rune made sure both men were in the car, giving a brief 'thank you' glance to Jupiter before he slid into the driver's seat. He drove through the town, his speed actually slower than normal. He did not want to do this. He did not want to face this at all. He wanted to turn back time. To save Lucius and save the heartache.

Sitting on the front porch, tears already in his eyes, Draco waited for his parents to come back. He knew it. He knew the moment that his brother's heart stopped beating. The last breath he took. He felt it. He felt the guilt. The lonesomeness within his bones. Within his whole being. Seeing the car pull up, his head lifted and his teary eyes stared at the three figures, heart sinking further.

Despite being in the back seat of the two door car, Severus was the first one out of the car. He flung himself into his brother's arms, sobbing uncontrollably yet again. Draco was the only one who had any clue what he was feeling. True, Rune and Relic were twins but both were living. They didn't know the pain of losing the other. Calder moved up the walk slowly, holding onto Rune as he moved, to give the boys time to find even the smallest bit of comfort between them. The blond guided them into the house softly, setting them on the sofa while he sat on one side of them and extended his arms around them both.

Draco instantly sobbed into Severus' form. His face pressed into his neck and his breathing instnatly became more difficult. He could not handle this. This could not be happening. It should not have happened. He stifled a few more sobs as he and his parents were herded into the room. He curled up beside his brother, pressing closer and gripping him tighter to his form. He took in a few shuddering breaths before giving up on attempting to breathe. He just pressed right back into him, sobbing into his neck. There was no need for words. They both knew what the other felt. Severus slightly different, yes, but there was still that loss.

Calder pulled himself up and wrapped himself around Rune, knowing that despite his tough exterior, he was slowly breaking. The boys needed each other more than they needed either of them at that moment, even though that was a hard pill to swallow considering the circumstances. "How?" The question was whispered. "They...they're yours. How?" Like the rest of them, Calder knew that this should have been impossible. None of them were supposed to be able to die, not with Rune's blood coursing through them.

Rune pressed his face into the crook of the other man's neck, taking in a few deep, shuddering breaths. "I ... I think it's the drowning." he whispered, having been thinking about it the whole ride back. He bit his bottom lip while he thought, trying to put it into words. "The way or works. With the blood. It ... I've never drowned before or not been able to breathe. I bet ... He lost the connection from his brain to his heart. The two could not connect and the cells couldn't fix it... something like that...."

His arms moved more tightly around Rune's waist, though he knew neither of them would be able to provide the comfort that they were both seeking. The blond pulled back to look at his husband, not liking that he didn't know when the other man would lose it. In Calder's mind, it was only a matter of time really. No one could feel what he was feeling and not break down. After a few moments, his attention turned to their sons. "Lets get them to eat and then to bed. We'll deal with the rest of the kids tomorrow." Even then, he wasn't sure if he would be able to handle those conversations...

Rune nodded a few times. He walked over to the two and picked the boys up, hugging them and then leading them toward the kitchen. "Sit and eat. I'm going to go get Travis and Jade." He whispered and then turned to make his way to the other side. He figured distracting himself would be the best decision. He had to find something else, right?

He wanted to follow Rune, but Calder knew that his husband needed a little time by himself. He sighed a little and watched the man leave the house while he shuffled around sluggishly to make some sandwiches for the two boys (who weren't really boys anymore, were they?). He set plates in front of both of them, encouraging them to eat. "You can both sleep after you eat." Calder picked at his own sandwich, listening for distress signs from Rune as he did.

Draco looked down at the sandwich, poking at it with a finger before turning to Severus. He pressed his face into the other's shoulder, shaking his head a few times. "I'm not hungry." He whispered, hugging his brother tighter to his form and he could feel the tears welling up again.

Rune made his way to his son's house. Finding his way inside and seeing the very beautiful man sitting at a table, reading a book. Sighing softly, his eyes slipped closed and he walked over to him. "Trevor..." He whispered, sitting down beside the other. "Lucius...." He began, taking in a deep breath and he shook his head. "He died.... Today..."

Trevor froze. His crimson eyes to the man in front of him as the words slowly processed. His Mama never would say something like that unless it was true. he took in a deep breath, eyes closing and he shook his head a few times before looking back at him, smiling lightly. "It... Oh Mama." he leaned forward and pressed his head into his form, crying into his chest.

"I know, sweetheart. But you have to eat something." Calder reached over and squeezed Draco's shoulder softly. "Just half. Please?" He hadn't bartered with his children since they were very young, and that thought made the blond hurt unbelievably. He choked back a sob and took a minute to compose himself before urging his sons to eat once more. "A few bites. I'll go fix up a guest room for you." He was only assuming that they would not want to spend the night in their old room, though he knew that neither would be separated from the other quite yet. Calder pressed a kiss to both males' cheeks as he moved out of the kitchen and towards the stairs. He only made it halfway up them before collapsing, sobs and sorrow and pain taking over once again.

Draco looked at the sandwich, staring at it for a while before he shook his head. He did not want to eat. He just wanted to stay with Severus and sleep untilthe pain left. He closed his eyes and then pressed his head into Severus' neck, taking in a couple more breaths.

Rune soon left Trevor with his husband, kissing his temple a few times, letting him be the one - actually begging him to - tell the other kids the news. He walked over to his house once more, seeing his husband on the stairs and he walked up to him. Pulling him to his chest, he wrapped his arms around his shoulders and he hugged him firmly. Face pressing into his blond locks and he held onto him tighter. "It's okay, Calder. It's okay." He whispered, kissing his head and cheek a few more times before he sat down on the stairs. Pulling him into his form, he kissed him a little more

Calder leaned into the strong warmth that surrounded him, feeling guilty that Rune was forced to be strong for them all. He knew that his husband was hurting too. Still, the blond couldn't help but cling to the other and shake his head. "They're hurting. They're hurting and we can't help them." He didn't understand why this happened, and that made the pain worse. It took him a long time to calm down enough to stand under his own power. "I have to fix a room for them..." He held a hand out for Rune and pulled him up when he took it. Once Severus and Draco were asleep, then he and Rune could focus on their own pain.

Rune shook his head. "No. You are going to go to bed." He stated, standing up and leaading the other to their bedroom. He set the other onto the bed, kissing his lips softly. He cupped his chin, kissing him a few more times. "Stay here." He whispered, walking out of the room and instantly having Relic clingign to him and babbling about how awful this really was. "Not now." He gently pushed the other away and then went to get a room together. He then herded the two into the room, closing the door and allowing his brother to cling to him now.

He stayed put for about as long as he could. But there was too much running through his head to sit still. Calder left the room and found Relic clinging to Rune. He sighed a little, stepping forward and wiggling in between the two men. He knew that Relic was hurting-Lucius was his nephew and he felt Rune's pain-but Calder was going to be selfish. "Come to bed, Rune. Please?" He turned his head and greeted Relic softly.

Relic kissed Calder's cheek, pushing the two to the other room and closing the door behind them. He then made his way back to his own husband to sob into his arms. He knew his brother was hurting, but he also knew that the other would not last too long with the stiff upper lip. He knew his brother. He was not going to bother him.

Rune pulled Calder to his form, hugging him tightly to his torso and he kissed his lips once more. "Things will get better. They have to." He whispered and kissed him a couple more times.

He was thankful for Relic's understanding, and once the door was closed, Calder clung to his husband's frame tightly. Right then, it felt like the world would never be right again. He felt like his entire world was imploding in on him. But more than that, he was worried about Rune. The blond looked up and kissed him. "You don't always have to be so strong, Rune."

Rune pulled him tighter to his form, shaking his head a few times. "I'm fine." he knew he was not, but he did not really want to admit to it. Everything would be fine. It had to be. Their boys were fine still. Those two were still all right. He pressed his face into the blond's neck. "Lie with me, Calder." he led the other to the bed, laying down with him and being sure he was pulled closer to him and beside him.

The comment worried him more. They settled on the bed, Calder pulling Rune just as close as he was being pulled. "You can't lie to me, Rune." He was keeping his voice low, listening for Severus and Draco...just in case. He reached a hand up, fingertips tracing over his husband's cheek. "You're always so strong for me... Let me be strong for you, too."

Rune shook his head a few times. "Everything will be fine." he whispered, more so reassuring himself. He kissed his temple softly. "You need me strong. The boys need me strong. It's fine. Okay" He kissed his lips once more, pulling him closer to his form and trailing his fingers through his hair. He just wanted this to be over.

He didn't argue. Neither of them had the strength to argue with the other. Instead, Calder curled into his husband and tried to sleep. He supposed he dozed off here and there, but the night had been long and by dawn, he couldn't just lie there anymore. The blond slipped from the bed, letting his husband sleep, and moved down the hall to check on Severus and Draco. When he pushed the door open, though, his heart clenched. "RUNE!" Calder raced into the bedroom and shook his husband awake almost violently. "Rune wake up!"

Rune was up with his name first being said. He stood up and looked over at the man "What? What happened?" he asked, moving to his husband and taking his hands, looking down at him, concern clearly to his features. He kept his eyes to the other and tilted his head to the side, eyes staying with his. "What's the matter?"

"They're missing...Severus and Draco...I went to check on them and they're not there and...and...We have to find them!" He was talking a mile a minute and his thoughts were racing faster than that. They had to be somewhere. Downstairs. At Draco's. At the hospital. Taking a walk. Anything! But he was in panic mode and so when the doorbell rang, the blond nearly jumped out of his skin. Maybe they'd just forgotten their keys. He turned and raced off towards the door. "Severus! Draco!"
