Welcome to Atlantis Academy! (Lia && Chokuro)

Raphael kept his eyes to the other, heart fluttering when he came closer. He closed his eyes and leaned forward into the embrace. His arms slid over his waist and he pulled him closer to his form. He kissed him passionately, eyes closing as he did so. Slowly, his fingers lifted up to get caught within his blond locks. He leaned closer to him and let his heart flutter. He did not know just how far this was going, but he definitely was not going to pressure or assume.

It took a lot of self control to back away just enough for their lips to no longer be touching. Caden brushed Raphael's hair out of his face with a tender touch, the blond truly studying the other man's face. "I think I'm falling in love with you." The words were whispered, and before the other could answer, Caden's lips were pressed back to his once again, his eyes closed more tightly this time and his grip around Raphael's waist a little more desperate.

Raphael could have died right then and there. He was falling for him again. He loved Caden so very much. His hands gripped his hips, pulling him up and into his arms. Long arms wrapping beneath his rump and he began to lead the way through the room and toward the man's bedroom. Lips not leaving his, not wanting to, not able to.

Pressing kisses into the mass of sweaty red hair that was plopped on top of him, Caden sighed softly. His arms were wrapped around Raphael's waist as they laid side by side with the sheets pulled up to their waists. Even if he'd wanted to the blond knew that he wouldn't be able to wipe the grin off of his face. The sex had been so intense and emotional, and it was something that he'd never experienced before. "Don't think this means you can let up on the chocolates and roses," he teased.

Raphael laughed softly and looked up at the other, barely seeing him through the sea of crimson hair that he did not feel like moving. "Mm. You get them for every day I was not with you." he whispered, leaning up to kiss his lips before falling back into his side, hair falling around his form once more, fanning out over his lover's chest. "And I'll give you more special things when I make up for the time."

"Roses and chocolates for 73,592 days... I could live with that." So what if he'd been keeping count? The blond didn't think twice about revealing that he had because, by now, it was the most natural thing in the world. He smiled down at Raphael and pecked a kiss to his lips before settling back down into the mattress, eyes slipping closed in a blissful tiredness that only a really good round of sex could bring on.

Raphael pulled him tighter and kissed his lips once more. "I love you, Caden. I love you so much." he whispered, pressing into his form and he nuzzled into his chest with a soft little sigh. He closed his eyes and fell into his form with a yawn.

The next few months slid by as easily as the first twelve, and Caden was really grateful for that. Raphael really did seem to grow-they spoke more now instead of argued and Caden felt less like he was the redhead's father or parent and more like they were in an equal relationship. Maybe, just maybe, something good came of Raphael leaving him all those years ago. Still, that didn't mean that he didn't hurt while thinking about it still...or that it didn't scare him still, too. There were still some days where he woke up and was genuinely surprised that the redhead was still lying beside him. The blond felt bad about feeling that way, but...the feelings were justified, right?

Raphael planned the night out perfectly. Every hour, on the hour, a red rose was delivered to Caden. He left a trail of rose petals from his love's classroom all the way to the man's house. Leading the way to a candlelit dinner. The lights dimmed with crimson candles shining brightly. Sitting at the table, Raphael was in a beautiful pin-striped suit. His eyes stayed with the door, waiting for his lover to enter. His heart raced rapidly within his chest, waiting to have him step in so that he could speak his mind.

Classes really had been brutal. Did the students communicate so that the later classes could beat him while he was down? Caden sagged into Uriel's side as they both exited their classrooms, until he saw the petals. "Huh?" The blond cocked his head to the side a bit and gave a questioning look to his friend before shrugging and moving to follow them. Even if they weren't for him, as a teacher he had a right to know where they lead to.

His curiosity grew as the trail of petals lead to his own door. What was Raphael up to? Caden entered the room, confused by the dim lighting. "Raph?"

Uriel actually wound up following, checking the room and he grinned. Closing the door behind him, he made sure he did not make too much noise and stepped away to go tend to his own room.

Raphael waited for the man to get closer. Taking his hand, he moved to one knee, eyes fluttering up to his as he popped open the ring box, revealing the ruby-and-diamond ring within. "Caden. You are the love of my life. I want you with me forever. I do not want to see you with anyone else. I never want to see you frown. I want to be the reason you smile. I never want to leave you ever again. Caden, the man I love, will you do me the honor of being mine forever and ever until death does us part? And potentially even past that point." He smiled at the last bit, showing that he still had a bit of his humor.

He was gobsmacked, to say the least. The blond looked down at his boyfriend as he spoke and his mind was reeling with thoughts. The humor, though, broke through and he shrugged after Raphael was done. "Why even add the 'death do us part' bit?" he asked, going into rambling mode. "I mean, we're vampires for God's sake...neither of us are going to die because...well because no one hates me enough to stab me through the heart and you're just not stupid enough to piss off someone who can run as fast as you can...usually... How have you not been killed yet?"

Raphael looked up at the other, eyes remaining to his while he kept silent. He sighed heavily. He slowly stood up from the ground and pressed his lips to his, eyes closing and he grinned a little more. "Sweetie. I'm proposing to you. I want you to be mine forever and ever, and death will not do us part, okay? We will forever be together and you always mine." He kissed him once more. "Will you say yes? Or have my crimes been too horrendous and you do not want to be with me?"

Caden snickered. "Doesn't feel nice to be tortured, does it?" The blond wrapped Raphael into a tight hug, his face buried in the other man's neck as he gave his answer. "Yes, sweetheart. Yes of course I'll marry you." He kissed his now-fiancee, grin spread so wide on his lips that his cheeks were beginning to hurt.

Raphael scooped him up and placed the blond onto the counter. Pulling back, he kissed his lips softly and then took the ring from the box. Sliding it onto his finger and he leaned into him to press another passionate kiss to his lips. "I love you, Caden. I love you so very much." He whispered, arms sliding around his hips and he pulled him closer. "You'll be mine forever. And I will be yours."

"Mama? Papa?" Severus was in shock by this point, and he blindly moved through the house. Even if he wasn't in shock, the tears that wouldn't stop streaming from his eyes were blinding him physically anyway. He called out again for his parents, more frantic this time and louder, sending out thoughts to his mother as well. Who knew if they were even home? He had no sense of what time it was. For all he knew, the house could be empty and they could both be at work. And if that was the case, Severus didn't know what he would do. Driving was out of the question and so getting to the school would be impossible. He tried once more before letting the desperation flood over him.

"Mama?! Papa!"

A groggy Rune quickly rushed down the stairs. His pajama pants hanging barely on his hips and his hair askew in many differnet angles. He quickly spotted the blond and rushed to him. "Severus?" he questioned, walking to him and he gripped his form, holding his shoulders and looking into his eyes. "Severus. What happened?" He cupped his chin, keeping their eyes together while he waited to hear just what the sudden visit and despair was about.

Calder followed his husband downstairs, in a similar state of dress and disarray...and concern. The blond moved over and took his son's hand, guiding him to the sofa in the living room. Severus looked like he would collapse at any moment.

In a way, he was glad for the seat but knew that they were just wasting time. "Lu-lucius." His brother's name was hard to get out. "He...he was helping and..." Severus couldn't get the words out. He shook his head and leaned into his father who had sat down next to him. "He's at the hospital. They...they..." He couldn't bring himself to say "they don't know if he's going to make it". He felt like part of himself was dying, and that thought caused him to collapse completely.

Rune's form stiffened and he instantly pulled the male into a hug. His face buried into his hair and he gripped the blond tighter. "it's okay." He whispered, gripping him tighter. "It'll be okay." he added, more so trying to assure himself. He could not lose him. Lucius was their child. He oculd not be lost. He just could not. He ... NO. He was going to be fine.

He went numb. It was tunnel vision past that. The world was fuzzy around the edges and the only thing that Calder could think about was getting to the hospital. He stood, leaving their son in the care of Rune, and raced upstairs to gather clothes and to change. He worked at warp speed, bringing something for his husband to change into as well before taking on the task of attempting to comfort Severus. "Shush. It'll be okay." He hoped. Calder wrapped the male in his arms and held him tight, waiting for Rune to get dressed so they could go.

Rune was dressed quickly and was at the two's sides. He helped both up, hugging Severus tightly. "come on. Le'ts go to the hospital, okay? We'll go see him. See that he's fine." he whispered, kissing the other's temple once more. He then began to bring him off and to the car, making sure both men were in before soaring off down the road to the hospital.

Severus didn't wait for anyone to greet them. He used their connection to soar through the hallways of the hospital, ignoring and running over anyone who attempted to stop him. He didn't see that it was Jupiter, nor did the look on the man's face register. Calder, though, caught it, and collapsed. Nothing had to be said to him for him to know that after many, many years together, they'd just lost their first child.

Rune quickly caught his husband before he hit the floor. Looking up at Jupiter and quickly burying his face into the blond's neck. He gripped him tightly, keeping in his own despair and he hugged him tighter. "Shh shhh... It's okay." he whispered, gripping him a little more, hand rubbing at the back of his arm and he hugged him tighter to his form. He kissed along his features and neck and then leaned up to kiss his cheeks once more, just trying to calm him down.

Lying on the bed, Lucius was still. eyes unmoving. Skin cold. No pulse. It was clear what happened. He was dead.

He clung to his husband, hating him for being so strong yet grateful beyond anything he'd ever felt for that same strength. Calder knew, though, that it was only a matter of time. He took only a few seconds before gasping and turning, taking off after Severus. He skidded to a stop in the doorway, nearly collapsing again at the scene. One son lying motionless on the bed and the other flung across him, obviously having lost it. The blond moved closer to the dark haired man and pried him off of the bed, though with the added weight they both fell to the floor in a sobbing, hurting heap.

Rune quickly followed the others to the room. He slowly walked into the room and he knelt beside the two. Pulling them into a tight hug. Kissing their temples and closing his eyes as he did so. He hugged them. "It's okay... Everything will be okay." he whispered, kissing their temples and then moving once more to his husband to kiss his lips. He then pulled Severus into a tighter hug, pulling him into his form. He could not look at the bed. He truly could not. He closed his eyes and then leaned his head into the blond's head.
