Welcome to Atlantis Academy! (Lia && Chokuro)

He went back to cooking, trying not to think about why everyone would be there shortly, just that they would be. Calder knew that neither he nor Rune were anywhere near okay yet, but maybe this was the first step towards being okay? He shook his head and tried not to think about it as he pulled the roast from the oven and basted it one more time.

Rune came back twenty minutes later with Relic hanging off of him and babbling about somtehing or another. Rune groaned and walked over to Calder, whimpering as he tugged at the man's shirt. "make him get off." He pouted, really just not wanting his brother to be so clingy. Which was quite ironic, but he was not up for it right now.

Shaking his head, Calder gently pried Relic off of his brother and patted his bum playfully. "We're going to go to Avalon for a little while. Why don't you make me something to wear while we're there?" Perhaps clothing would distract Relic? It usually did, anyway. "Or you can be my taste-tester since Rune is just itching to go make small talk with your mother." The blond smiled at his husband, amused with himself.

Relic looked over at Calder, lips pursing into a pathetic pout as he stared at the man. "Can I just string a chocolate bikini together and have the ravenous one go at it?" He smiled before stepping over to Calder and kissing his cheek. "I'll taste-test."

With his parents gone, Lucifer giggled happily as he looked around the empty house. His ice-blue eyes traveling from one side of the wall to another before he leaped out into the hallway, spinning on the toes of his bright red heels, landing gently on the stiletto and then sauntering down the hall. A very lovely black dress clung to his hips, waist, and lack-of chest. His blond locks flowed to the middle of his back in layers, framing his face and making his eyes sparkle even more. He had ordered a pizza and was currently waiting for it. That and one of hte friends he made at school. Theyh ad a project to work on and well, he needed to do something.

They had been on Avalon for nearly three weeks. The sun and sand and ocean were doing him good, too. While the blond suspected there would always be an ache in his heart for their sons, he was now able to push it away a little bit more. He had left Rune in their little cabin to stroll along the island's south beach as he often did when he needed a little time to think. As he dug into the sand with his bare feet, the blond whipped his head up when he heard a sharp...giggle? Calder raised an eyebrow and moved closer to the shore, and was soon greeted with the most adorable toddler toddling towards him. The kid had two fists full of sand, holding them up and out towards him, babbling nonsense.

Calder moved closer to the child and scooped him up (the last thing that he needed was for the kid to fall and hurt himself) and rushed towards the water. Who was on their island? What the blond saw shocked and infuriated him: a yacht, probably private, heading back out to sea at full speed. He turned on his heels and raced back towards the cabin. "RUNE!"

AT his name being shouted, Rune literally fell off the couch with a loud groan. He slowly stood up, rubbing at the back of his head and he turned to look at the other. "Yeah?" he mumbled, walking toward his husband and pausing at the child within his arms. "You have some explaining. Did you make that out of clay or something?" he asked, poking the toddler's head.

The child in his arms giggled, dropping the sand down Calder's front and latching onto Rune's finger. He moved it into his mouth and happily chewed, big eyes looking up at the both of them. The blond sighed, knowing he was done for. "I was walking and heard him. When I went to the water to see who was here, the yacht was pulling away." Looking down at the little boy in his arms and back to his husband again, Calder pleaded with his eyes. "What can we do, Rune? Maybe...maybe it's what we need..."

"TO beat hte shit out of pitiful human beings?" He then pulled the little boy into his arms, turning and walking to the kitchen, grumbling and cursing about idiots and how they should all be neutered like the animals and worthless things they were. He rested the toddler onto his hip while beginning to get some milk for him. "Can you eat solids?" he asked, looking the boy over and nodding. "Pureed stuff. Got it.'

Calder moved into the only spare bedroom that the cabin had and rustled through the drawers and closet, hoping they'd had the foresight to store some of the kids' baby clothes. He was in luck, and while looking at the triplets' clothes made him incredibly sad, the blond knew that they didn't have a choice. Sighing, he laid the items out on the dresser and went back out to where his husband was. "You're okay with this?" he asked. He knew that they had choices, Calder just didn't like any of them.

Rune looked over at the other and nodded "Yes. I named him Cal already." he took the bottle and held it to the boy who instantly began to drink from the nipple, chugging it He turned to look at his husband, adjusting hte boy a bit. "They abandoned him. And I will fight anyone to tell me that I cannot keep him. Besides, he didn't come from me, so i'm happy."

"If they dumped him on an island that, from the south, looks deserted, I doubt they're coming back for him." He reached out and tickled the boy, raising an eyebrow to his husband's name choice. "Don't you think that might get confusing?" No one ever called him Cal...anymore. But it had been a common nickname for him as a young child and he still found himself answering to it when there was someone with that name around.

Rune pouted and looked at him a bit more. "Fine. then Liam." He stuck his tongue out and bounced the boy onto his hip. "See that? I try and give him a junior and he just shoots it down." He shook his head to the boy, walking with him past Calder to go find the bedroom where he knew his husband went and got baby clothes." Let's get you cleaned."

He stuck his tongue out at his husband's back before turning to make them both lunch...with some pureed carrots and apples for Liam. Calder also made up a quick (very small) batch of chocolate milk as a treat for the boy. It was only fair since his new mother had a tray of brownies waiting for him, right? It didn't take him long to prepare the food and call both out to the kitchen to eat. "Maybe after lunch, Mama can help you build a sandcastle..."

Rune walked over to Calder, kissing his cheek softly. "I love you." hje whispered before boosting the boy onto his hip a little more. "Let's eat!" He grinned, sitting down and beginning to feed the boy the pureed food that his Papa made. "Eat Papa's food. It's yummy." he smiled, kissing hte boy's head and sighing. Perhaps this really was what they needed?

His heart fluttered a little with the feeling of being a brand new family yet again. Sure, Calder always had this feeling when they had a baby, but this was different. Liam was mending something inside of both of them that the blond had been sure would never be healed. He knew that this little boy would hold a very special place within both of their hearts. And Calder knew it even more when he heard that first, very distinctive, word come out of their new son's mouth.

"Ma! Ma ma ma ma ma! Ma!" His hands were outstretched to Rune's clearly wanting the food that the man was holding.

Rune went wide-eyed as he heard the boy's words. His eyes stayed with the toddler before they welled with tears. "oh God!" He instantly pulled hte child into a hug, crying into his shoulder and holding him, being sure without squishing, and whimpering softly. "I ..." He shook his head a few times and only held the boy for a bit more time, getting a hold of himself. Taking in a deep breath, he wiped away his tears and nodded. "Yes! Mama will feed yo." he then offered some apples, eyes staying with the boy.

The blond smiled, and unable to help himself said, "You know that your mother and brothers will be hearing every minute detail of this moment, right?" He was teasing...sort of. But the scene before him was so sweet. He couldn't remember seeing his husband like this ever, even when he first brought home Jade and Ella and Trevor, Rune was never this in love with a child before. "We'll have to go home sooner than we thought," he mentioned quietly as he began to eat his turkey sandwich. "He'll need socialization...and clothes. And, apparently, Promethius..." The blond giggled a little as a blob of the carrots flew from the bowl onto Rune's cheek.

Rune looked down at the carrots on his cheek then back to the boy in front ofh im. "Oi! None of that. I'm feeding you apples. Not carrots." he stated, popping another spoon-full into the boy's mouth and childishly sticking his tongue out at him before he looked over at his lover. "Apparently." he smiled, just far too bappy about this whole thing right now.

Liam simply laughed and reached up to smear the orange blob over Rune's face, being sure to smoosh some up towards his eye and into his nose, too. "Quite talented. An artist, maybe..." The blond laughed and stood, getting a wet paper towel to wipe both the boy's hands and his husband's face. Calder stood behind Rune and wrapped his arms around his shoulders, head resting against his lover's. He was happy, and he was sure that this little boy would bring them much joy in the coming years. "We should surprise everyone with him."

"only if I can tell them he was a tumor. or perhaps a gollum." He looked behind him at his husband before turning back to hte boy in front ofh im. Feeding him more of the food before handing the milk back to him, smiling warmly. Very cute little boy. He leaned against Calder, eyes staying with the boy. "We can head back in a couple days. How does that sound?"

He smiled, kissing Rune's cheek. "A week sounds better..."

Before he knew it, the week was up and they were packing to go back home. They'd only told Tanner, and only because they needed someone to pick them up at the airport in a reasonable car, with a car seat. Sitting on the plane with Liam in his lap, Calder was leaning into his husband's side with his eyes closed, thinking about their newly brightened future.

"Relic!" Tanner grabbed the keys off of the front hall table. "I'm going to pick up Rune and Calder! I'll bring back dinner, okay?"

Relic perked up and looked over at the other. "What?! Why? why are they coming home so soon?" he asked, following the other man to the door. "Did something happen? Oh gods! WHat did Rune do? Did he murder someone again?" He rested his hands on his hips, fretting like quite hte mother hen.

Rune smiled, kissing Calder's head and then looking down at the sleeping child in his arms. Such a precious little thing. How did they manage him anyhow? He really had no idea what to do with himself anymore. He was happy, but also felt a little guilty. but oh, he really was just excited about this child. Beautiful child.

Shit. Tanner sighed and looked back at his husband. "Nothing happened. He didn't kill anyone. Just. They're fine and I'll be back." The blond smiled and pecked Relic's lips before rushing out the door to avoid anymore questions. Rune hadn't killed anyone, but Tanner was sure that his brother in law would kill him if he let this secret slip out!

Calder hummed softly and snuggled closer to his lover, leaning up to kiss him. "They sent him to us." The idea that his three sons had drowned themselves and then this precious little thing, sort of, came out of the sea to them was not lost on the blond. "Think about it. Those monsters picked that day, out of all the years we hadn't been there before this month, to drop him on our island. They wanted us to have him."

Relic huffed as he stared at the door, cursing his lover quite a bit as he did so. "cocky little... " he trailed off, going to pout in his sewing room.

Rune smiled warmly. "I like to think that." He admitted, turning to look down at his lover and he leaned down to kiss his lips once more. "I definitely think so." He groaned and sunk against the other's form, sighing heavily as he did so. He really was happy, but he still felt a bit of guilt at being happy. But then, the boy would smile, and honestly, all would be forgotten.

Tanner was cursing himself, too, and stopped at a fabric store to pick out some very pretty, expensive fabrics to bring home to Relic as a peace offering. Of course, the child that the two were bringing home would distract him for a bit, too.

As they stepped off of the plane, Calder stretched his legs out and groaned a little as he did so, glad that Liam had slept most of the way home. He was now wide awake and ready to charm the pants off of anyone he met. Tanner was a goner, in love with the little boy when he first set eyes on him and was barely able to look away in order to drive them home.

They pulled into the driveway and Calder began to take Liam out of the car seat. "I'm surprised Relic isn't out here to greet us." Tanner had told them about his almost-slip on the way home.
