GuardianAngel-Twist and shout-Fluffy

Blaire just watched for a brief moment in time and just watched as the cows took off running. Well that went shockingly well, which had her rising from where she was crouched, just studying the surroundings. Honestly she had to wonder what would have them venturing that far away from their home to hunt. Why not hunt what was around them? There seemed to be plenty of wildlife around them. It just seemed so strange since the city was so far away from where they were at now, which just had a small frown decorate her lips.
"Why hunt so far from your home?" Blaire questioned from where she was at. No she was actually genuinely curious. There had to be a reason to travel that far, something that they didn't know about. This was the first time that she had actually heard about the crocodile trip doing something like this.

Gazes snapped to Blaires attention as his voice rose over the hill. But Matts went quickly back to those of the croc as it replied. "POISONED. ALL MEAT TAINTED. TOO MUCH EAT WE HAVE DIED." Claws speed out behind the row of huts, many low mounds with rocks on them. "WERE GREAT, MUST RECOVER. BETTER MEAT FURTHER OUT." he said proudly as if hunting other sentient kind didnt bother him; the dead hiker bovine proof of that as the corral guards began skinning it again.
"NEED FOOD, YOU TOOK." He was the chief voice for them it seemed as the recovering lady croc came back to his side.
They weren't include in the peace treaties with the humans and they caught what they could out here when it was all well, but the animals were getting sickly out here but not because of the humans... something else were poisoning the beasts.

"You can't have the Princess though! What made you THINK that stealing royalty wouldn't go noticed?!" Doc yelled to the beast as he shifted back to human, snorting at the crocs face.
"EASY PREY, WRAPPED UP IN ROOM. STEER OUT LIKE HERD DEER. FOLLOW WHITE, ALL FOLLOW."

Blaire just listened before she was sliding down the rocks, and was walking over towards where Doc and Matt were at, slinging the gun over her shoulder once again. The animals around there were getting poisoned which is what had them deciding to go and take a royal, and those that were around her. This had the human shaking her head a bit before she spoke, "Still a stupid idea to go after a royal. Probably one of the stupidest ideas ever. That will just land you into more trouble than starving. As for the meat being poisoned.... have you or your people even attempted to try looking into how it was caused. Or what is causing it." Blaire spoke after a moment in time, although she just stood with her arms folded across her chest at that point in time.
Man this day had turned out to be rather annoying to say the least. Although she couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the crocodiles, now that she had heard what was going on. But she was going to be a bit annoyed if she found out that they hadn't even done anything to try and discover what was going on. Sure they didn't have the technology or anything, but they could still look into stuff.
Was there an area around there were there seemed to be more sickly animals than other areas?

The crocs eyes took on a fearful look as the soldier coming down the rocks had a huge shadow behind him and though he wanted to run he rumbled his throat loudly. "GET DOWN!!!!" the spear he had flipped in his palm, readied for a throw.
Matt almost barked in a startled state before it turned to a roar at the croc. How Dare he aim at his companion! He saw though seconds later as he rushed to try and block that thrown spear- it wasn't for Winters. Claws kicked up the grey rocks he twisted his newly sized body towards the terror behind the kid.

The Bird thing aiming talons at his back, had quiet in its approach from the trees until the spear caught a large chunk of its inner thigh. Screeching bloody murder as it crashed in to the dirt past them.

Blaire did listen when they mention to duck and was giving a slightly startled gasp when the spear flew over her head. She was looking behind her however to see what the hell the Croc had been aiming at. A bird thing it looked like. If she weren't apart of a supernatural group, she was certain that she wouldn't have to deal with this as often. Yet again life would get boring if that were the case. It was a win-lose situation.

She straightened up and looked over fully at the downed bird thing. ~I feel like... We should help... How we can to try and discover what is going on. what is resulting in the animals getting sick. To avoid the shifters that live around here from hunting in cities again. This comment was directed towards everybody in her crew, get their input.

Wings were caught in teeth and under hooves as it thrashed about, trying to stand back up. Ungodly screeches and beak clacks came from the beast as the smaller animals stayed back and Justin protected them. It still tried attack its original target though with its good claws.
"OWLS! THEY EAT OUR YOUNG!" the chief went to retrieve his spear and their original captive followed him like a shadow. Two snaps of the jaw and she shifted quite quickly to snap her jaws on its neck- stopping the noise.
A round of angered hoots and screehes rounded in the woods as the one in the sun went limp.
New meal for them to pluck.
~We can try to check it out Winters; but we will have to get back in a few days.~ Justin said to them all before not only all the crocs looked and their group as the cows came back out of the woods in a stampede- human and animal alike as they were attacked by the owls.
Matt didnt even need to say anything as they all shifted back and even the crocs came with their spears.
~Winters! Shoot them down!~

Blaire just looked towards the croc chief as he went to retrieve his spear before she was turning her attention towards the angered hoots and screeches that could be heard. She was looking over towards Justin as he made his comment before she shrugged then spoke, "Sometimes.... breaking the rules a bit is worth it. Especially if it is to keep people safe. In us helping them, we protect the innocent. Pretty sure that was one of our jobs as soldiers." There was a slight smirk on her lips before she was taking the gun from off her shoulder, yeah nope Matt didn't need to tell her twice.
It was a damn good thing that she was a good shot. Probably even better that she had trained often enough with moving targets. Because after all, nothing was going to hold still for you to shoot them. The stupid sight she was taking off of the gun though, and tucking into the pouch at her waist, that was only in her way half the time.
"So this job to retrieve the princess and her people, turned into something a whole lot more complicated I guess." Blaire mused before she was firing off a few shots. One of them got an owl square in the forehead as it went after one of the fleeing cows, while another bullet ended up hitting on in the wing. Not quite the shot that she was aiming for but hey it worked. They couldn't really fly that well at all with a bullet through the wing.
So for the time being, those were the shots that she was aiming for. Wing shots, mostly the joints that was going to bring them down right away, if she couldn't get a kill shot.

While he went for wings if he missed, Matt picked up the rest. Teeth diving deep in to the bird creatures to tear throats out in a splatter of grey and gold blood. Some seemed higher up in the lines for their kind.... all blended to brown in death though... sizzling and burning away the dirt. Ah, a form of acid... Was a good thing that he was letting it slide of his fangs- less melting of his flesh and he could stand to regrow his teeth.
~Dont touch the blood!~ he roars in his fellow soldiers minds as the pulled their own smaller hand guns to get the ones that dived them.

It wasn't a long skirmish; with the crocs spears and the bullets piling in them, this small scouting crew of 10 was a heap of flesh.
Ok, so this wasn't a meal for the crocs as a few tried to retrieve their now melting spears from the corpses.
"NOW HOW CONTINUE? WAR ON BIRDS IF COME?" he looked back to his scared people and the cows that now bucked in anger around his community. "HELP?" almost pleading with the black bull that stood before him and the leathery beast whose jaw was melting from blood.

Blaire just watched after a moment, not allowing herself to become overly deterred by the fact that they were being attacked by owls. Not that it took very long to take care of the owls, and she was reloading her gun before looking towards the croc leader, who was just looking back towards his scared people. Actually a lot of people were afraid at that point in time, hell she felt her heart going a million miles per hour, as she was stepping around some of the blood from a dead owl. Strange that the blood was acidic, very strange indeed.
Blaire was looking over towards the croc leader for a brief moment in time before she spoke, "I can speak for myself, not so much the others. But I'll help how I can." No she wasn't just going to leave them hanging, not at that point in time.
God knows if her father was still alive, there was no way that he would turn his back on them.

Both Justin and Doc nodded after a tiny private thought. The twins and Alec trying to help get the cows back in line- why COWS was a for fronted thought, they were Aribellaes people.... not just cattle...
Said princess was in her white and flecked form, trotting her heavy self up to the field that they all had run from only to pass the crocodile; that so rudely kidnapped her and her people earlier; and head butted the black bull. Head laid on each others back's as the remained together. Matt had to turn off the rest of the crews mental chips to avoid the gush of loving words from them.
~Soooooo... How can we help them?...~ the beast only remained as such until the melted part of his jaw had reformed and cracked back in to place... stepping up to Justin and Blaire as a human. A new scar shone on his face like a pink badge, splattering around his mouth from where it healed over. Not like the demon cared.

"FORM SEARCH? LOOK FOR ANIMALS?" the crocodile leader ventured forth, twitching nose as Bella smacked it with her tail, repeatedly...and on purpose. He did not retaliate though, keeping in mind the beasts before him. "FIND WHY POISON TO EAT."
His people were few, they didnt have much of anything to pay back these soldiers...though maybe an idea... "DAUGHTER WORTH GOOD AS PAYMENT? SHE GOOD WATER SPY. CAN TRAIN, JOIN SERVICE?" he asked them much to the bears confusion, smacking a hand to the panthers mouth before he could say a thing dirty.
"We.... dont accept woman in A.S.'s military ranks for field work. And we would rather not cause your numbers to go any smaller, sir."

Blaire just looked over for a moment in time although she didn't say much of anything just folding her arms behind her head after slinging her gun over her shoulder once again. Yeah she wasn't going to say anything at all about there not being any woman in the military ranks for field work. Man she was almost afraid how Justin was going to react when he did actually learn the truth.
She did look over towards the crocodile leader at the mention of finding out where the poison was coming from. Hopefully they would actually be able to find something, although who knew. Things could possibly go in their favor, they might not go in their favor as well. Only time could tell. But she hadn't really heard of animal shifters having acidic blood, well not animals that didn't deal with poison or venom at all.
"I do suggest you mind your thoughts. Your lewd and perverted thoughts most definitely need to... stay to yourself at times." Blaire was commenting to Todd mentally, not even caring that others were around at that point in time. Not that this wasn't the first time that somebody had had to say something to him. With that she was gazing around for a moment in time before she was looking over towards the leader and asked, "Where do you guys usually hunt for food? Probably be a good idea to start looking there."

"BEASTS. AROUND. NO SET GROUNDS." the leader gave his daughter a tap forward and despite her leg and throat was still quite fast at leading them out towards the trees.
"WE HUNT WHEN NEED HUNT. BUT WENT BAD. WEAK PREY, POISON IN VEINS. MANY SICK THEN DEAD." she said she slipped through the brush with barely a sound. Just as stealthy on land as in water.

"We need all the hunters you can spare.... If more of those acid owls come then its not safe to be swarmed like we were and barely long range weapons." Matt spoke aloud to the croc in his gravely tone as they followed the crocodiles daughter up-hill.
"CAN TRY, NO GET KILLED."

Blaire followed after them although was just keeping her eye out for any more of them. Well now she knew, go for kill shots right off the bat. "There was to be a reason for why there is acid in their blood. That doesn't just happen." She was mumbling as she was following them uphill, and just looked at the wooded area. Man wooded areas weren't friendly for any of them, would make it far more difficult for the owls to manuveur at least.

Oh how wrong her little mind was; owls despite some of their 'normal' sizes, were agile in plain view or in trees, they had the added bonus of height and stealth. Trees were no ones friends any more, not after this skirmish.
"Does it matter? It is a defense they have that's deadly to anything." Justin kept his head down as branches now rose over their heads...~Im sorry to the crocs that can't chime in now, but this seems a quieter method.~ Alec entered lightly in to the convo, he hadn't much to say here, nor the twins who were holding themselves together quite well- knowing them it was probably hard to do.
~We cant just use our noses, Im sure something has been poisoning the creatures for a long time if its all in their blood systems now... I... I dont want to know if they can eat that cow or not...~ He continued, Doc having left Aribellae as clean up crew to the ones behind them.

The twins and the fox jumped though at lower rustles, more crocodile hunters sticking heads through as they followed by smell- Four... They were only given four extra helpers here...

Blaire merely listened to the conversation, although for the most part she didn't really chime in at all, nope she merely listened.
"Hopefully we can figure this out because.... if we can't... there is a high chance that this situation will spread other areas. It could be... well an epidemic for lack of better words." she commented after a moment in time before glancing over towards the few crocodile hunters that had come with them. Only four it seemed. Alright they would have to make due with that it seemed.

Clicks and thrums from throats had the four croc guards at their sides, all cardinal directions. The Chiefs daughter led the was over to a spot deep past the tree line, but not TOO deep. "BIGGER DANGERS DEEPER." she spoke and pointed to the pile of two legged hopping alien remains. There was a whole herd it seemed, un eaten... and laced with a deep black webbing through their veins. "POISON. NOT THERE YEAR BEFORE."

Blaire followed after although it wasn't long before they seemed to stumble up in the cause of the poison. Alien remains it seemed. Which had her wondering how that could even be disposed off safely.
"That would definitely explain it. Have to wonder... How did they die?" She mused. Was their death natural or due to something else? Because if it was natural, then things weren't as complicated.

"WE KILL, NO EAT." The lady croc poked at the meat chunks with a stick, moving a beasts leg only to have it slop off it like goo. "CANT EAT. WE ONLY KILL DAYS AGO, BEFORE COWS. SEE ICK?" Not the source, just their proof it has corrupted the animals and alien wildlife. She had some reasoning to bring these soldiers here, maybe their noses could shift through the mess and follow it where it began.
~These aren't acid blooded like the owls.... That just must be that creatures blood...~ One of the twin said in their heads, both holding noses to the smell- not even Matt left his face uncovered.
How was this possible? An infection like poison???
The bigger shifters here dealt with the smell the best they could, being so close, and Doc even took up a stick to shift around the meat chunks too- he was a doctor.. ~I think.. It's best no one touches any other Fauna around... Who knows how it causes these marbling effects in the flesh.~

Blaire just folded her arms across her chest before she was mumbling that this situation was far more complicated than what they had thought. But obviously whatever was going on wasn't because of this. Not like these damn aliens hadn't been seen before, and even after they were killed, nothing like this had ever happened before. She was just looking around for a brief moment in time before she was wandering off a little bit, something briefly catching her attention.
Doc had mentioned something about fauna and not touching anything else, although it wasn't an animal that had caught her attention, but a particular flower. A rather strange flower, that didn't absorb water to grow, but instead it absorbed blood. A Death flower. Rather beautiful looking, but deadly as all hell as well. It was a bit strange that they were growing here though, which actually had her venturing over towards where they were at.
The female was kneeling down on the ground next to the flowers for a moment before she was looking off into the wooded area, scanning for any others, although she wasn't seeing any others at that point in time.

Matt was only half listening to Doc explain the patterning of the webbing to the crocs, what to avoid if possible in their hunting for the future. He was also feeling better enough to be in a human like form for a while and even let the twins ride his shoulders to stay away from the goo pile. But it was the absence of Blaire and the fox that had him scanning around the little clearing. With so much brush and debris around and their noses clogged by this death- he couldn't see either one of them.
A light grab to a crocodiles tail had it stilled long enough to hear..... nothing..... Nothing wasn't good, no noise was worse then spooked animals or birds. ~Winters???~ he called to the kids head- still always stopped out side the mental door. ~I need you to make some noise now.... I cant find you!~ he called again with earnest. He had dropped the monkeys at some point and the lizards tail as he almost was panicking with how quiet it was; despite Doc teaching them.
A look up from the group and they all heard a new sound, a crunching of limbs as they were broken and thudding to the ground below.... They didnt need to be told as they flattened in to what little clean grass was around- blending in with ease. Doc went as low as he could though as the demon hurried out of the clearing now as a beast.
That new noise he heard WAS NOT Blaire... was too big!

Blaire had wandered off a bit although she hadn't gone overly far, had just ended up going over to another patch of flowers that she had spotted after a little bit of scanning. How strange. Although after a brief little bit she did hear Matt in her mind which had her reaching out towards him gently to reassure him that she was just fine, she had just wandered a little bit to go and explore. To see if she could find anything. Not far away from the clearing at all. Although she was stopping dead as well when she heard the new noise, which was relatively close to where she was at as well. What the hell was that? Looking around she didn't spot anything, but she really didn't want to find out what it was. Nope she was just edging backwards up against a tree, looking around slowly to see if she could spot anything. Nothing yet. But still time to head back towards the clearing, back to the others.

There was a gurgling like noise from over Winters head, a creature who slowly tipped its own as claws- one by one- showed up around the trees trunk. This was bigger then Matt's Queen, bigger then him but slow...for now. Each dinner plate sized claw squeezed in to the bark as it slowly moved its body along the tree.
Keep Slow Blaire.... what ever you do..... it should be a gut feeling at this point to not run as it lowered just one of its limb; of six...; to attempt to touch the thing before it.
And like the pile of meat, this seemed to have the webbing of black laced over it, and leaving a trail of glowing tendrils behind it on the tree....

Blaire heard the gurgling noise which had her deciding to risk that look upwards, just to see the creature above her. Oh that definitely wasn't a good thing at all. But predators... never a good thing to run from. This had her inching away slowly, keeping herself from giving that gasp of shock and terror. Nope she could let that out that, for the time being she was just swallowing it down. Instead she was sinking down to the ground to avoid the claws before she was inching away from it slowly, just keeping an eye on it. Nope now wasn't the time to bolt, but her heart was definitely racing. ~I don't know what the hell this thing is but it bigger than that fucking bitch from your realm.... and has really big claws. This is the cause of the poisoning, I'm almost certain. It has the same webbing as the pile of corpses.~ she whispered to Matt in a soft mental voice as she just moved away from the creature slowly, keeping a close eye on it. Nope if she had to bolt, she was prepared to do just that.

Its head rose with blinking speed as the demon came sliding in to view. To the sight, Matt back pedaled his claws and bolted back away as the thing screeched and lunged off the tree- its claws crushing the bark enough to cause it to start to go timber.
~oops...........RUN WINTERS!!!~ he yelled in his head and just tried his best to keep its attention. The rest of the group didnt move from their hidden cove as it could be heard that trees were falling all round them. ~Blaire, can you shoot its head from up some where high?~ Doc dared to chime in.

Blaire saw Matt come bolting up before she was looking back towards the creature. Well that had caught it's attention as well, as it was lunging out of the tree. Good thing she had already ducked behind a different tree at that point in time. ~There was a reason for moving slowly, it didn't seem to know I was there.~ she told Matt after a moment in time, before she was just pushing away from the tree. Oh there came the question from Doc on if she could shoot its head from somewhere up high.

~Yeah I can do that.~ Blaire confirmed before she was bolting off towards the campsite, considering Matt had its attention. Thankfully her gun was already put together, and already hanging across her back with made it a whole lot easier at that point in time. Now was just the thing of finding a good vantage point, which was usually where the monkeys came in handy. They were good at finding sniper nests.
