Distant Horizons (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

"You will be, rest assured." He stated as he dragged her to a dark room she hadn't really been to yet. It was like a prison cell but a little more cramped looking.

It was cold, down to her very bones, it made her feel like she was dead- more so than she was then. She looked around with wide eyes, pulling the heavy cloak around her shoulders more tightly, trembling with fear.

She moved to the bars and clung to them, looking at him with desperation. “Please don’t do this! Please don’t leave me here alone!”

Amaya wept softly, sinking to the floor and holding herself, why did she have to be alone in the dark again? She had been free from her life of being locked away in a dark closet until she was needed for chores, or to be beaten, now she was back to her old life.

She was still sitting in front of the bars, looking up with red eyes. “Please..! Please let me out..!”

“Anything! I-I’ll do anything..! Please, I just don’t want to be in here anymore..!” She pleaded.

She felt her heart sink, and she bit back a wail. He was going to kill her, he was going to use the club and beat her to death; at least this time, there would be no dogs.

He turned to her and started to bring the club down on her, he didn't even need to put his weight into his swings,it was heavy enough.

Amaya brought her arms up, trying to protect her head from the blows. She was beaten to the floor easily, large lumps forming on her arms that turned black and blue.

He hit her until both of his arms hurt and he moved back to catch his breath. He hung the club up and left the cell, roughly shutting the door behind him.

Amaya laid on the ground, covered in heavy, large knots and splits in her skin. She had cried until she had no more tears left, staring blankly at the wall.

This continued for a long time, even when she was behaved and just did something Mitsunari didn't like. It was a nightmare she couldn't wake from.

Masamune was spending his time still in Windhelm, trying to court Megohime every chance he got. He tried charming her with his Thu'um and his sword play but she rarely seemed impressed. He didn't mind though, she was pretty and he wanted her hand.

Megohime always seemed to be busy, out at the market buying things, reading in her home; she seemed to be too preoccupied to deal with Masamune.
One day while Masamune was perusing about, a ruckus could be heard in town, and he saw city guards carrying their own toward the palace, most of them looking wounded.

"What the...?" Masamune moved toward the commotion before skidding to a halt. A massive dragon sat on top of Windhelm's wall, laughing at the panic its presence caused. There were so many dead littering the streets. Masamune's eye widened in horror. Did he do this? Did his Thu'um bring it here?

There were people screaming, running, and soldiers barking orders, then he saw Megohime- why was she out in this mess? She was being escorted by two guards toward the wounded, already rolling up her sleeves.

"H...Hey! Mego!"
"Dovahkiin." Masamune's attention was immediately pulled back to the dragon and he stood frozen in fear, "You were a fool to challenge me in such a place. To put such life at risk."
"Masamune-sama!" Kojurou was running over and Masamune turned quickly toward him.
"Go inside where it's safe, Kojurou!" He yelled, voice shaking.

She hardly seemed to notice him, quickly moving to the injured and looking them over. She did her best to quell her fears, but it was hard to stop shaking with a dragon at her back. She forced herself to focus on healing wounds, keeping her eyes down.

Masamune tried steeling himself as well, rushing to the blacksmith to snag the first bow and set of arrows he saw. He put as many arrows as he could into the dragon's hide so he could bring it down close enough to use his Voice. It would be hard, the dragon had more range and speed on him, but he had to kill it. He had to stop any more death.

Megohime could hear the fighting going on behind her, and when she glanced back, she saw who was fighting. Panic jolted through her and almost made her abandon her patients. She quickly looked back to the man she healing, biting her lip hard, she had to focus.
