The objections continued from Edwin noticed mostly the female members of the council, the mothers with eligible daughters and the daughters themselves that wished to be the one he picked to be his bride. It was the prime minister that calmed things down “Now that is enough of this stupidity.” Silence fell before he continued, “Now what serious worries does the council have.” he held up a hand to stop the tide from starting again. “One at a time. I myself have none. I know of the lady Lillian and worked for however a brief time with her mother while she lived. I know her mother’s loyalties and have no reservations.” He nodded to the next in line an older gentleman who shook his head having none as well. Four or five council members passed with no objections before one came up. It as a older male council member who raised it. “My lord, we as the lords of the land have become more accepting of magic in the land, the people have not really. I don’t know how the people would react to having...well what they would term a witch as queen.” There were frowns from several of the council at this but Edwin nodded “It is a fair point to bring up. But it should be pointed out that they already have a magic user as a king.” He waved his hand in the air and a small bouquet of flowers fell into Lily’s arms.
